1  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Whaleclub.co feedback on: September 28, 2017, 11:45:41 AM
It's not so much trading as it is Binary options. You deposit one currency and get the same currency. No fees is a lie, because they get profit from the artificial spread set in their platform. So if you sell bitcoin for 4000 and buy for 4040 the fee is 4040 - 4000 / 4040 = about 10%

Read more about binary options before investing gambling.

Tried them out of curiosity, lost some money. Some of my orders were liquidated for no reason, support has not responded yet. Will keep updated.

Hi,

Have any of you had any progress on the matter? I have few thousands on my bitcoin-24 account and it would be nice to have them back. I am up to hiring a lawyer, but it would be nice to hear if there are any updates.
4  Economy / Lending / Re: Tomatocage's 0% interest loans, up to 20 BTC (collateral required) on: November 14, 2013, 10:38:55 PM
Kouye is correct. The reason why I ask for 20% over the value of the loan is to serve as wiggle room should the exchange rate between the collateral and BTC take a dive. And that's also why I try to keep the loan term to 7 days.

Oh, right understood, I might've not read the thread throughout. I would use this method, but defaulting on a loan is not cool.
EDIT: Read some more of the thread and apparently this has been asked already. Good luck!
5  Economy / Lending / Re: Tomatocage's 0% interest loans, up to 20 BTC (collateral required) on: November 14, 2013, 10:28:41 PM
Except if 1BTC=100LTC at the time of the loan, TC will ask for 125 or 150 LTC as collateral or whatever he considers safe to avoid 3).
Or at least that's what I understood. Grin

Oh, right. I thought that, but forgot to add. I edited the post to demonstrate my example with these numbers.
6  Economy / Lending / Re: Tomatocage's 0% interest loans, up to 20 BTC (collateral required) on: November 14, 2013, 09:54:06 PM
  • Collateral must be in the form of Litecoins, Primecoins, or mcxFEE shares (mcxNOW.com)
This idea popped to my mind just recently, but I might've understood the thread completely wrong.
Have you considered, that someone might use this as a hedge against LTC, Prime/mcxFEE crash (and also shorting bitcoin?)?
Example:
1) One takes a loan of 1 BTC at btc price of 100 LTC (120 LTC as an insurance)
2) Bitcoin price rises and is worth 140 LTC
3) Loan defaults and you are left with 120 LTC, which is 0.85 BTC
OR
2) Bitcoin crashes and in that unlikely event when LTC (or others) do not, the loan is paid back resulting in the loss of BTC.

I am not sure, if this came up already and if you've already thought of this. This is only a theory, since usually BTC and LTC (and others) drop/rise the same time.

Round 14A: Düsseldorf, Berlin, Germany (SOLD OUT in 6 hours, a GB Forum record by ~100%)
Hi, I bought some shares when ATM was still going to be in USA. Are my orders in limbo or just moved for ATM Germany? Also, how long do I have to pay if I sent the micro payment to confirm my order? I run to some problems buying BTC. Orders the little payments are paid for: #447 and #448.

I also took places #433 and #422, which I am probably not gonna take. Can I auction these or are you just going to resell them?

EDIT: and this
Hi! If I buy a share, how long will I have commissions? Till machine's life?
9  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Mining rig scrap (5850, 6950, mobo, PSU, CPU, RAM) on: August 28, 2013, 10:26:50 AM
Hi,

Thank you for you interest, I should always preview before posting. Could also buy one of those for 0.5 or 0.05 Cheesy

I would sell it for 0.9-1.2, edited the original price.

Offers accepted, I'll review this thread regularly before listing these on eBay.
10  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] Mining rig scrap (5850, 6950, mobo, PSU, CPU, RAM) on: August 28, 2013, 02:28:49 AM
I need to get rid of my scrypt miner before moving abroad.

4x5850 1GB for best hashrate/powercost for scrypt mining BTC0.9 each

3x6950 2GB for better hashrate, but powerhungry BTC1 each

1x6950 1GB seems like one of 5850 BTC0.9

2xASRock 970 Extreme4 ATX Mainboard AMD Sockel AM3+ BTC0.5 each

1xUnopened Nexus RK-1K 1000W PSU BTC1.2

2xAMD SDX145HBK13GM Sempron CPU BTC0.3 each

2x2GB Kingston RAM KVR1066D3N7/2G 1066 MHz BTC0.1 each

2xPCI-E 16X Riser BTC0.05 each

4xPCI-E 1X To 16X Riser BTC0.03 each

2x 2gb USBs BTC0.02 each

And the main component of my rig:
1xMotorola Galaxy 1 motherboard broken BTC0.4

I ship everywhere using the preferred method and bulking as possible, ask more for discounts (BTC1 if you take all). I can provide more information to build up trust or use escort service etc, but I prefer to PM about details. I've been in bitcoin/altcoins for about an year mostly day trading, reading forums and providing a guide at litecoin.net for a common BAMT network problem.
11  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Quick question about a deal on: April 27, 2013, 08:16:03 PM
Yup, but that was only for the mobo side.

I decided to buy newer ones, though.

Thank you for your hard work : D
12  Bitcoin / Mining support / Quick question about a deal on: April 27, 2013, 05:00:48 PM

13  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What about mining with 7 gpu's with a damn rig? on: April 27, 2013, 03:20:15 PM
Just a note you could always build them in sets of 3 and have them mine to one machine(If pool mining put your credentials in all of them, if solo mining have a host computer with your coins dameon on it and set it to mine to your ip address) May be more expensive but as for heat, effectiveness(7xcards are a lot more likely to crash than 3) and difficulty it would be optimal
Thank you for useful information. I might settle for four. How about performance difference between x16 and x2?

first i will not put another card in, its just a example of a maximum you can get, over 4 card in a box its hard thing to do
Oh, right.
14  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What about mining with 7 gpu's with a damn rig? on: April 27, 2013, 02:34:05 PM
Thank you very much for informative posts.
its one my box, and lets me say its limit to all what i can with but the mobo rock  Wink

Looks like a powerful setup, why so much ram, though? Gaming? I'm going to look into that mobo, but that is maybe a bit too expensive.

How in the world are you going to fit 5 GPU's in that motherboard? Do your research, the GPU's can only go in the blue PCI-E slots, and there are only 3 of them on that board. Remember spacing too, on my Sabertooth Z77 board with 3 PCI-E slots I can only fit 2 GPU's on it (GTX 670 and 5970 currently) because 2 of the PCI-E slots are too close together, another GPU wouldn't fit in.

Risers.

you're not going to get 5 GPUs on that motherboard without a bit of creativity.

You're going to need to look into PCIe riser cables to get access to those PCIe x1 slots.  Once the main PCIe slots are occupied there's no way you'll get a GPU near that.

Yeah, that was my plan. I'm just scared, that the hash rate will suffer due the scaling. Well, worth a try, that mobo ain't a bad deal for 4 gpu either.

Word.

http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/2010/12/16/ati-radeon-hd-6950-review/10

Less power consumption 6950 and 5850, than 7***. There will be a bit more heat, but there are solutions for that.

7* has probably been done before. Here is topic about 6*:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=142241.0

BIOS over clocking, yeah.

I might just buy the motherboard I linked, but start with 5 gpu.

Less than 1k is a small budget, i think.

PSU:

1500 W should be more than enough and there are such devices.

Putting all together is that worries me : D

EDIT: thanks for the answers btw.
16  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What do you think about this damn rig? on: April 27, 2013, 01:18:44 PM
I'm not mining btc. Let's forget the profit side, I'm just looking for very cheap and powerful rig. It would be interesting to hear some experiences about 5-7 gpu on one mobo. + I might live in the North pole, therefore the heat is not a problem. Watts are, though.

EDIT: changed the title to be more informative.
17  Other / Beginners & Help / What about mining with 7 gpu's with a damn rig? on: April 27, 2013, 01:09:07 PM
Planning a dream rig for gpu mining, any recommendations and/or cheaper options (trying to be as budget friendly as possible):

1-2x mobo (7 pci-e):
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Asrock-970-Extreme4-ATX-Mainboard-Sockel-AM3-DDR3-USB-3-0-eSATA-/350765536098?pt=DE_Elektronik_Computer_Mainboards&hash=item51ab415362#shId

7* radeon 5850/6950

PSU:
Like 9999 or what ?!

CPU:
something stupid

RAM:
4gb/mobo: ram is like a dollar.

Do you people know how well could you mine with both 5850 and 6950 on the same rig and how well different versions of one graphic card will blend in?
