1  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice Affiliate on: February 26, 2018, 07:39:28 AM
Hi, there's no way you can track your referrals, Primedice respect the privacy of their players. Also, they are trying to avoid people paying illegal Rakeback to other players, normally people that is asking for know the name of the players is because they are offering Rakeback for playing under their referrals.

And for future questions, please post them in the official Primedice thread instead of creating a new thread. Thank you and best of luck! Smiley

So is this violate their regulations about giving extra cash for people to let them signed up under our referrals? If this is nothing to do with it so why not? Does not really matter if they really show who is signing under our name. We also can't so anything just with their name? So why they are keeping it as secret like it is has been their tighest security?

Rakeback?? Come on? You serious?
I asked someone to join. He joined. I will receive affiliate profit in only one case: when he will make a depo and spend some of his depo while playing.
What's illegal with 'rakeback' if I simply send him some little bonus? You afraid that I will receive 0.1% of 0.1% I earned with him?

I believe that it is yet another ICO scam. Stay away from this. Also, it is a dupe of topic https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3018022.0
Also, the copy of the message looks like being made by russian pupil.
4  Economy / Gambling / Building referal network and affiliate marketing in crypto gambling on: February 25, 2018, 11:43:59 PM
There is a plenty of gambling websites, if not all of them, that have referal program, under which you can get rewarded for attracting new playing users.

If you try to google out how people promote some top sites, you will see that they make youtube doorways, how-to sites about 'earning in internet', and other shady and snake-oil stuff.

I'm wondering if someone here successfully worked as marketer and can share the success story about promoting such websites using his own channels, by building community of involved players or with any other methods (don't share your scheme, just a story of success).

Thanks for answers.

Hm, why knowing the only Username of signed up referal is bad for privacy?

I want to reward referals with tips after they sign up. It will improve retention, and will make whole experience more smooth for newbies.
Obviously, I want to reward only those of referals, who made a deposit and played, so they show loyalty to gambling website (Primedice in my case).

9  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Bitcoin and Altcoins Opensource Hardware Wallet on: October 01, 2017, 09:45:12 PM
Well, Raspberry Pi is too smart, because it has Wi-Fi module.

Do we need Opensource Hardware wallet at all?

Such insightful! Thanks TryNinja!!

About HD Wallets I meant a case, when one generates a mnemonic seed and stores it as a key on a sheet of paper.
The public address being shown is 44'/0'/0'/0/0 path address according to BIP.

The purpose of this: after sending funds from 0th address you don't need to regenerate your paper wallet - mnemonic seed stays the same, but next address will be deterministically known.

Furthermore, only an entropy generated after mnemonic seed could be stored. And as for MyEtherWallet, this seed could be AES encrypted, so the QR-code could be easily shown to someone who don't know your password, if you want an additional level of freedom.

Whole this question appeared from the need of hodling good enough bunch of Bitcoins, Ethers, Moneros and LTCs. I need one sheet of paper for all of them, one interface to use them once, an ability to put keys not only onto the paper, but ask someone who I don't trust, to put them onto metal plates or whatever, because I'm paranoic.

Thanks for the explanation! I've tried and it worked for me. Necessary to add, that this message was appearing probably because my balance was not confirmed at the moment I've tried to invest. It would be better to show some clear message stating this case.

Донат стримерам?.. Что мешает стримеру показать QR-код на экране и сказать: шлите сюда свои биткоины!
15  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Bitcoin and Altcoins Opensource Hardware Wallet on: September 30, 2017, 09:31:12 PM
Are there any OpenSource projects supposed to create hardware Trezor-like device based on widely available Atmega devices or Raspberry Pi?
I have seen ECDSA implementation for Arduino, but it is very little to start with. Yes, Raspberry Pi may be a good option, it is an actually full-featured computer, but this makes it opened to a number of security flaws, bugs and unknown breaches.

Your opinion?
16  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Paper wallet comfortable to use on: September 30, 2017, 09:20:27 PM
There is a number of paper wallets, for example the most well known is a BitAddress.org.
But this one looks old and outdated, it doesn't generate SegWit addresses, have nothing to do with HD wallets and at least have scary UI on old manner.
It is strange that it is the one of the most popular paper wallets ever exist.

For thingie supposed to generate some bytes of entropy and convert it into few different representations it is ridiculous, especially after playing around with and using MyEtherWallet for Ethereum.

Do we need new, beautiful, easy to explain to grandma, open source, offline Bitcoin wallet generator based on bulletproof JS libraries and tools?

Tried to invest, but completely stuck on the entering Onsite and Offsite values. May you show some examples?
Whatever I put into these fields, I get "That would cause you to become overleveraged."

Thank you
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Ethereum Technical Question: architecture of coin on: July 30, 2017, 11:56:48 AM
Hello there,

I'm going to build a smart-contract, that will work as an exchange: it will exchange my own pseudo-currency to ETH in two-sides.

Is it possible to achieve following goals?

1) I want my pseudo-currency can be used only for few possible transactions (for example, you can get the amount in one place, from miner or another supplier, and pay only to another member of the system, who can only exchange it via smart-contract to Ethereum), that's why I named it pseudo-currency. You can't pay Bob, who will pay a steak to Charles and then to Frank and Henry, and so on. Only one pre-defined possible transaction sequence allowed.
2) I don't want to have blockchain for that, but have this scheme decentralized, provable and double-spend secure.
3) Actually build such smart-contract and keep Ethereum Blockchain footprint as small as possible, to not spoof Ethereum Blockchain with useless data.

I hope it is possible: keeping provable transaction sequence is like a path on Merkle-tree, that looks like a "part" of blockchain. Since transaction sequence is predefined, there is no need to have a whole blockchain: genesis blocks, full Merkle-tree of blocks/transactions etc. Smart-contract on ETH blockchain will act as exchange, verify coin, provide work parameters for miners.

Does exist any similar protocols/coins? Where to read about them?
Can I find an answer to my questions in papers related to building cryptocurrencies before Satoshi Nakamoto's work or is it a waste of time?

Thanks, BitcoinTalk people!

19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Incredible odds. Need your opinion about new game! on: June 23, 2017, 01:14:48 AM

2) every user who wants to take part in a draw, sends transaction (amount of B) and provides a server with some SHA-hash (it doesn't necessary to be unique) and BTC address he'd like to receive payouts to
3) when whole number of bets accepted (N), bankroll for the draw is N*B, an algorithm (Algorithm) makes a score table of all users/transactions took part in a draw, and server exposes it's secret

With current state of Bitcoins blockchain, on-chain games seems like a bad idea. People would have to pay the highest fees to get their bets confirmed, because you can't accept unconfirmed transactions due to double-spending risks. Some people are already unsatisfied  that they have to pay high fees for simple depositing and withdrawing funds, but paying 0.005-0.001 BTC or more for every bet is just ridiculous. Ethereum got pretty high fees too, and the network can be unstable sometimes. You will have to use some other altcoin if you want to solve the issue with transaction fees, which will also reduce the amount of potential players.

So, the deposit/withdrawal system with account balance could be good and well-known solution for the problem?

Hi again!

I have set a Discord server up, where I plan to run few early rounds of game before actually making a ton of software.
Please join the server by this link: https://discord.gg/5DTaFEY

I've described the game rules. Real "how to" and "provably fairness checker" is coming.

Just need your opinion about what crypto-currency do you prefer for gambling? and do you ready to play early for real money, or we could try for some kind of "credits"?
