If you're patient with this coin, you will be rewarded. And the percentage rates aren't so high that people will sell it to the ground but high enough that you're excited when you do see a stake. I wish I had gotten on this earlier as I have a modest 20k staking and earn about 250-500 extra coins a week. But Im accumulating at every chance.
20k is still a good amount to have and stake, Most of the larger wallets got in when RAIN was only 50 to a few hundred sats. I think anything under 1k sats is a good buy right now as I just loaded up on some more RAIN at the current price. I'm waiting on the big news update which shouldn't be too long now as I'm excited to see what the dev has to announce. Under 1k is GREAT price...grab' em while you can

The current price of emc2 when I write this post is 2k3. I'm still waiting for it to burn. I would expect it to be 5-6k. Earlier when I bought it at 1k7 sts and sold it at 3k7 I made quite a bit of money from it and I was old too. holding some emin2 coin hope it will fly high 5-6k sts ha ha circulating coins = 214mil more or less at 2300sats...55mil burned (+- 1/4) ===>> Burn news will get prices higher than actual price after the burn...imo... BUT I invite every freakin’ one on this forum to prove me wrong (...and do me a favor ) GRTZ&GL --- The best meat is for the ones early at the BBQ ---

A new version of CPU-miners XMR-Stak-CPU for cryptonote cryptocurrency.
It's sad to see that there's no Bitcointalk thread available on that miner. What does "MEMORY ALLOC FAILED: VirtualAlloc failed." error means? You can find that info on the XMR-stack-cpu github page...somewhere near the bottom it says what it is and was you can or can’t do about it... GRTZ & GL!

can anyone say me at what day the 20.000.000 coins getting burned ?
I am also interested in the exact date of the coin burn. I'm not sure on the day but you might be best to ask this question in the slack group as the dev is more active in there answering questions. It took one day for me for the coins to mature and begin the stake, also dont expect fast returns, you need over 70k i think for daily rewards
That's great that you have staked and that it only took one day, I think any amount above 50k will get daily staking rewards and if not daily then at least every second day as I stake just over 78k and some days I get 0 stakes but then on the next day I could get 2 or 3 stakes so it all depends on the network weight at the time I think. If you split that 78k in smaller stacks, you will stake more efficient. Correct me if wrong, but I believe every stack of coins tries to stake once per sec (or per minute, not sure). More stacks >>> more chances/sec/min of mining some RAIN. Use coin control: 1. Go to Send Coins in your wallet, click on inputs... 2. Select the stack you want to split > press ok. 3. Send RAIN to your own address (the same address you’d use if you send money from exchange to wallet for instance), ...but send like only 10k or 15k, whatever ...Do this until the 1 stack you had, is spread over several smaller ones. This will add to the number of times a day/week (maybe hour if have a lot of RAIN) you can stake. Even better: Send each stack of 10k (or desired amount) with some time in between ...like say 2h apart from the 1st one (2nd 2h from the 3th and so on). The stacks will mature and gain weight...but because you left some time in between, and they all started gaining weight at another moment, you created some form of “consistenty” in gaining X amount from your stacks. If you send the stacks one after another, you will stake like 2 or 3 times a day...but after that nothing for a couple of days. The stacks need to gain weight again. So with some time in between...in a way.... you made it a little more consistent. GRTZ to all... .....If I’m wrong or something, plz feel free to correct me, just sharing my findings here to help some newbro ’s out...and I’m don’t know everything either

About staking...
I experimented a couple weeks with 5x 10k stacksize and must say it works pretty damn well. The nice little cloud guesses I get a fresh shower every 4-8hours. But usually it is like AT LEAST once a day. So be patient,....It’s an estimate and those are always off. The amount of coins that shower down on me is always different, but almost every time more than 300RAIN. I even had couple 600+ rain down on me. The 1 stack in my wallet that is 1.5k , usually stakes between 50 - 150rain and it’s frequency is a lot lower too ofcourse.
Hope this info gives the new ones more or less an idea. This doesn’t mean it will work the same for anyone else.
GL & And let it Rain...
Experiment update: Managed to catch some Rain last 21days, little over 10k Rain from those stacks mentioned in the quote. Didn’t change a thing if a pile staked, just let it add to the 10k pile that captured it... Gonna keep it that way for some more days, probably gonna change it to 6x 10k stacks 1x left-overs. Keep on dancing’ in the rain!!!

Yo,
Is there some kind of way to calculate an optimized size of coin blocks for staking?
Like, should I use blocks of 1k coins or 10k coins....or....
Also can’t seem to find the wallet config file (on OS X) ...cause I seem to have a little amount of connections...
grtz & thx
Are you using this wallet? Here's a bootstrap if you need to re-sync - just place the bootstrap.dat in your %appdata%\ roaming \ rain folder before launching the client. We were working on documenting the best way to stake - I have to find what was found so far - but for now, just use the largest blocks you can and you'll start to see rewards after a few hours Not using that wallet cause it’s the windows one you linked Using rain version 1.0.1.0 for Mac OS X... Wallet up now for couple hours > only 29 connections...used to be more I think... Thanks for the github link, but already checked that. I’m not a coder, although I do understand some lines in the Stakingcode part, but not enough to really figure it out completely.... :/ Guess I’ll just play around with 15k blocks or 25k blocks or something. grtz

How would I go about mining on a mac? or is this not possible?
well, for POW, you can always use miningrigrentals.com (if you don’t own any hardware yourself that is). You can rent another persons miner for several hours/days, and point it to a Condensate mining-pool. If it’s not working properly or loses connection, etc. they give a refund. Or you can use NiceHash, but I’d really not recommend it. Basically it is almost the same thing, just don’t like the way they work and it is more expensive. I tried compiling CUDA-miner couple of times but none work. Well one did, but was really old version. And if you ask if someone can help with it, the usual answer is: “Mac is not designed too BLABLA FUCKING BLA” It’s my mac I do whatever I want with it... But if you find a decent working version, I’ll be happy to hear about it!!! Last option is to buy a bag, drop it in the wallet and keep staking that thing 24/7. I probably forgot some stuff, but at least you got some kind of an answer GRTZ

Now all we have left is Bittrex and yobit.net... Any ideas on how to best get in contact with either?
....Not going Poloniex? ...or did I miss something? Thumbs up to all the work done so far, and the activity of the dev(s) too. Site looks cool, dev() / community is motivated, Keep it up!!! nobody wants to be on POLO.... Well, shame.... I like Polo, Kraken and Bittrex. Cryptopia and Coinexchange are “ok” i guess... Most others (if not all) are TERRIBLE, imho that is... BUT it’s a free world so....Take your flavor! Spice it up a notch!! BOOOooOOMMM!!!

Working with Elypse on building the site, and received source code from logocreator as promised. Hopefully site will be up tonight. All this progress in such short time has blown me away, you guys rock! Soon we'll have a solid foundation for this coin, and soon with rewards dropping, we can finally focus on larger projects and get a good use case out of RAIN, involving the scientific sector. Only a few days before new bounty campaign - update your wallets if you haven't already done so Elypse sounds familiar Nice to hear this might be going somewhere grtz
