1  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 07, 2017, 05:22:04 PM
This is fine, enjoy your thread, I'll gather and share thoughts on Bitcoin somewhere else. Not the conversation I signed up for.

White people own the majority of centralized assets in the United States, they must be against bitcoin.

OK, Ibian, I would say your comment was a stereotype and not hateful. Roach was spouting some hateful shit. People are entitled to believe whatever they want, this just seems like a really strange place for this conversation.

I have not been in this thread in a few days, but dear god, what is going on with the Jewish comments? I cannot believe that a) Roach's comments were made and b) no one had been responding? If you want to engage in hate speech against any group of people, I am pretty sure you can find a forum for it some alt-right bullshit site. Keep it to yourself and focus on the topic of the thread, for fuck's sake.

However, since I am the receiver, this is on the sender at this point, correct?
6  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Recieving Transaction from Bovada on: May 26, 2017, 05:05:57 AM
OK, checked the client on the desktop Electrum, not the Mobile, and when I right click now I get this instead on block explorer:
3fdbcc3bedf6a5c109755f295dd10d5243c36e968b791de25cff00a424e698f4

Just an unconfirmed transaction. I pinged Bovada a couple hours ago, I wonder if they did something on their end. But fees look right, 190 sat/b, so this seems like it should go through now, right?

Thank you for the response, is that the Outputs and not the Transaction ID (which I posted)?
8  Economy / Service Discussion / Recieving Transaction from Bovada on: May 26, 2017, 04:18:34 AM
Hello-
Never had this problem before, but I requested a withdrawel from Bovada about 32 hours ago, and it is still unconfirmed in my mobile Electrum wallet and I also cannot find the transaction on Blockchain or Blockexplorer. The mobile wallet just reads as unconfirmed with a status of signed, outputs and the transaction ID below.

d8941cbede1d917141987a9207325e0e1bf8dfdf79ad4e657a4e6fefe6aedd9b

This has never occurred before and has typically taken from 10 min - 2 hours. Other than looking for the transaction ID, how else do you track down a lost transaction?

Thank you in advance,
JR

OK, thanks Big Boom. So the ViaBTC's accelerator is really just a "good will" venture by those miners to help out the congested network for those that submitted lower mining fees (even on accident, oops) who do some research and find it as a resource? And they grab those transactions and squeeze them into their next block for mining? I'll happily donate to their cause voluntarily if it works as you describe since they are performing a value add service.

OK, thank you. I just used the middle setting on Electrum figuring that would use the "going" rate for transactions, I was not trying to be cheap, although it sounds like I was accidentally. Next time I will reference the calculator site you provided.

Is Block Reader the best place to monitor the transaction or is there a best way to watch its placement in line, for my learning purposes?

Thanks for the reply, but unfortunately that is a bit over my head. Anything else that is a bit more "newbie" in nature? I have not had to complete any troubleshooting with Bitcoin transfers before and they have always gone through in a number of hours w/o any technical back end work.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Unconfirmed Transaction - Please Help on: February 08, 2017, 03:24:10 PM
Hello-
Attempting to transfer funds from Electrum wallet to Coinbase, has been stuck in unconfirmed for about 36 hours with 0 confirmations. I used the standard suggested mining fee from the Electrum client, so I don't think that the low fee is the issue. The transaction is 72a42337d4a0da7d41646c333cffa2b797787c361d63286bce9735ffee2edb74.  Unfortunately, I did not have the setting enabled to increase the transaction fee when I initiated the transfer as I was not aware of the setting, so I cannot bump up the amount through Electrum.

I have done a lot of searching and some forums indicate the transaction will be "forgotten" after 72 hours, some indicate that they will not as it can be re-broadcast.

Currently, in the Electrum details, it states expected confirmation time of 25 blocks, but this has been sitting like this for some time and has at some times said "unknown (low fee)".

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated (as well as any miner help).
thank you
