🎮 P0TS: The First Bitcoin Gaming Platform Where the Blockchain Rolls the Dice
You're a little too confident calling your platform "the first." I remember a couple of years ago there was a Telegram bot called @luckytipbot that basically offered the same thing. But it didn’t take off, and now it’s no longer working.

Back in the Ethereum boom days, there were also some pretty serious discussions about exactly these kinds of games. The general consensus back then was that if the prize for a round was significantly higher than the block reward plus fees, miners could very well start cheating with hashes.

So it turns out blockchain isn’t the perfect arbiter in matters like this. Nobody is going to launder big sums through such a scheme. Which also means the organizer shouldn’t count on making large profits.

TELEGRAM is run by a private company, so a bot there was never truly anonymous or decentralized. That’s a key difference.

As for the old Ethereum experiments—you’re right, they popped up during the boom, but most of them collapsed once ETH gas fees skyrocketed. High transaction costs killed both the games and the user experience.

And comparing Ethereum block dynamics with Bitcoin isn’t really apples-to-apples. The economics, difficulty adjustments, and security assumptions between the two chains are very different, so the same concerns don’t directly apply.

Bitcoin Lightning Support Added !

Lightning Network, On-Chain Bitcoin, or any cryptocurrency via FixedFloat

Hey, I tested a deposit and it took 2 blocks to confirm. That feels a bit long, especially since the Bitcoin network itself is usually faster these days.

it takes just 1 block to confirm

I don’t know how I missed this topic!
Anyway, I read about how your provably fair system works, and I’m a bit confused, as I don’t think it’s completely provably fair.

So, your system will generate a random seed from which the winning number will be derived, then you will display the hash of that seed publicly so that players can verify the fairness of the result after the game ends.
Everything seems good, except that you (the casino owner) already know the winning number. So, how can we be sure that you won’t join the game and bet on the winning number (which you already know) and leave no chance for other players to win?

Absolutely, that's a great question — and it's actually a classic problem when it comes to fairness in online gambling systems.

You're totally right that if only the server provides the seed (even if it's hashed beforehand), the operator technically knows the outcome before the game ends. This opens the door to unfair play, like the operator betting on the winning number with inside knowledge.

A commonly suggested solution is to incorporate a client seed — so both the server and the player contribute to the final outcome. But in our case, since each new bet extends the game timer by 5 minutes, even this wouldn’t solve the core issue. Players (or malicious actors) could still potentially manipulate outcomes by strategically timing their seed submissions.

What I've been exploring instead is using a Bitcoin blockhash as the final seed source. That way:

The game would close at a specific Bitcoin block height.

The hash of that block (which is unpredictable) would determine the final outcome.

No one — not even the operator — could predict or manipulate the result ahead of time.

This approach would make the system truly trustless and provably fair, but it does require a significant investment — integrating with Bitcoin nodes, managing timing with block confirmation, and reworking the codebase accordingly. Right now, I’m waiting to grow the userbase a bit more before committing to such a major upgrade.

Stay tuned — it’s definitely on the roadmap!

hey i do not plan to keep that old domain, it has lot of legal issues, plus just changing the thread won't change the quoted posts (which will refer to old domain) - and in future some guy can buy that domain and scam people.

then bunch of people will accuse me of not creating new threads

take some time and pay attention to that thread and see the last post 📯

Thank you for your response, and also to others who responded to me too. Just as your requested, I have gone back to the thread I did see your last comment on the thread and I think I quite understand everything now.

The reason I was even interested in the first place was because of the creation date of the previous thread, assuming it was an old thread I won’t have even bothered asking, I’d instantly just come up with my own scenario but since it was a fairly new thread and now another was created made me more curious to know what happened and now my curiosity has been fully satisfied.

alright - give it a try you will love it and if you have any suggestions please DM me

I visited the casino and I must say that it looks great, I think no online gambling casino can ever go wrong or look bad on a dark background as such background seems to always match every other outer colors, kudos to the development team of this Platform.

And l love the way the op took time to explain the game mechanics and it's mathematics in a way even a 4 year old child would understand, it's commendable..

But one part of the op I am having issues believing is the pure player vs player part, the information on the third point says the game is a combination of skill and luck, but from my personal assessment and understanding, this game is pure luck based and has nothing to do with skill, am I wrong or right here?

Good question its mainly luck based, the interesting part comes when more and more people join.

Imagine the game where 100 people pick one number each with 100$ each, thats approximately 10000$ in single round.

I came across something interesting, it’s actually interesting because of the format and the content of both threads - @Op, I’d like to know the relationship between this site p0ts.com and shadowsats.com are they both owned by you?

And from this thread
[1]
they both looked alike, although shadowsats isn’t opening for me, I’m not sure if it’s a general thing or just my device.

[1] https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5554004.0

There have been no other changes except for the domain name. The OP owns both domains and just changed his domain. Yes, he owns both because either yesterday or the day before, I saw Shadowsats in his signature. The OP could have changed the thread title and modified his thread if he wanted, but he decided to create another thread to announce his presents.

If he keeps creating new threads, people will be confused and won't dare try his platform. If I see several websites and an announcement thread that doesn't have many changes, I will avoid the website.

OP, you have been introducing casinos to this platform  for some time now but still yet those casinos do not have any representative here.

i am here on bitcointalk or you can use NOSTR to reach the development team !

This doesn't answer my questions, it is either you invite the team to officially establish their account here on this platform or you tell us your relationship with the casinos you have been introducing here.

Will you be ready to face the consequences if anything goes south when Playing with the casinos you have been introducing here?

i am here on bitcointalk - I AM THE OWNER

Many people have pointed out that https://shadowsats.com/ can be easily confused with https://shadowstats.com/

As a result, we have decided to **change the project name**.

Thank you for your feedback! I will be **relaunching the project under a new name** soon.

Since you have a member rank, it would be great if you redesigned your announcement thread. However, we want to welcome to the forum all new gambling platforms. Only the Bitcoin gambling platform sounds like you want to adopt Bitcoin behind the scenes. I am not very aware of any successful player-to-player gambling platform. Because unless you are able to draw enough attention from gamblers, then it's hard to gamble there. But definitely we welcome some of your features, like only Bitcoin and no KYC.

To be honest, I wish you success, but it really depends on your dedication. Your marketing team should be strong enough to promote your platform in the right place. So when enough gamblers gather there, then there won't be an issue to be successful. Keep an eye on the forum as well; there are a couple of ways to push your platform around. Good luck.

The good thing is that I already run several other crypto-based projects, so attracting new users here should be relatively straightforward.

In my opinion, there’s strong demand for anonymous gaming — most casinos today require heavy KYC because they want to accept USDT and support live gambling.

Another advantage of a player-vs-player model is that bankroll management becomes much simpler, making it easier to maintain a balanced platform.

Looking forward to building a strong community around this!

hey i like to keep it text only, it is more SEO friendly and i am kind of old now, i really like the old approach to creating ANNs
I understand what you are saying, but many customers are coming from young generation and you are making this website for them, not only for yourself  Grin
This is your project and you can do whatever you want, but I dont see how adding just a few basic graphics and images can hurt SEO or something else.

can you DM me with some good examples, that will look good ?
