1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NXT coin - A total scam? on: April 25, 2014, 05:10:59 PM
this is nothing more than a pyramid scheme.

And your point is......?
It'd be nice to see some of the reasoniing behind your post, or do you believe that all cryptos are pyramid schemes ?

could I see pics of the frame with the motherboard tray, screws and standoffs installed?
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] The First Litecoin PPS Pool (litecoinpool.org) on: February 01, 2014, 11:34:59 PM
any reason why the total pool hash rate dropped suddenly?

is there any way to unlock my payment address once it has been locked?

One more question plz.
The pool now implement VAR DIFF automatically. While can one fix a DIFF for each of his worker, manually and seperately?(Like some BTC pools I've mined with.)
Since I got a new problem:  Due to unstable network, some share lost ->  DIFF goes lower -> network load heavier --> more share lost --> DIFF even lower.
I think for some guys with a unstable network(like me), income variability is not so important as network load.
Usually when people ask for the ability to manually set share difficulty it's because they don't understand the underlying math, and naively think it's intrinsically better to have a low or high share difficulty.
I think this is the first time I hear a semi-valid justification for such a feature. However, if your network is that unstable, then you probably have much more serious problems (such as the amount of time you spend hashing stale data) than those caused by an unsuitably low share difficulty.

what is the average stale rate for you guys?  my gpus (7950s') are all averaging around 1.2-1.3% stale rate and was wondering if it is a little high?
The pool average right now is 0.5%, with some users going as low as 0.03%.
However, software latency is sometimes unavoidable when GPU mining, so a stale rate around 1% is usually considered acceptable for GPU systems. Please note that this kind of latency is not due to your network connection or to the pool, but to the miner itself.

would lowering the intensity or clock settings affect the stale rate?  its weird because i recently build a new rig with 3x 280x and they are averaging only around 0.10%.

Plastic end caps are a new option:

$.55 each.

what is the point of the plastic end caps?  is it to replace the screws as an alternative?  For the large atx mining tray pictured on your website, does it come with the gpu support beams or does it have to be purchased separately?
10  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Would it be possible to fit pci-e risers inside a computer case? on: September 10, 2013, 04:42:29 PM
Just out of curiosity, can it be done?
11  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 4x 7970 LTC Mining Rig (Complete or part out) on: September 10, 2013, 08:30:27 AM
can the custom case hold an SSD or 3.5 inch hard drive?  i am interested in buying the frame and the risers.

Unfortunately I didn't add a place to rack up the HDD. I had planned to use a flash USB-stick but was having trouble getting the OS to take on it properly so I've just had the HDD sitting on the table behind it.

would you be willing to sell only the frame and risers?

Looking for large atx bench tray similar to Rich Chomiczewski custom frames or something close to that.  I have already messaged him and he says he is almost 3 weeks backlogged so I might as well try my luck here.

15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Accidently sent bitcoin to first genesis block, any way to get it back? on: September 03, 2013, 05:37:12 AM
I was moving around some bitcoins and my autosave normally gives me the correct address to send it to, i only have one bitcoin address that i send too.  I wasnt paying attention and this address popped up 1A1zP1eP5QGefi2DMPTfTL5SLmv7DivfNa instead of my normal address, which is quite strange.  Looking around at blockchain.info trying to see where my bitcoin went, this was the first block ever created.  Now is there any way to get my bitcoins back or is it lost forever?
16  Other / Beginners & Help / the rise of asic mining, will it be the end of bitcoin? on: April 09, 2013, 05:11:38 AM
So after 21 million bitcoins have been mined, no more can be created.  This really wasnt a problem because until recently, mining for bitcoins takes a long time to mine with a gpu setup.  With the rise of asic mining, which will mine bitcoins 100-1000x faster than "normal" mining, at the rate asics mine bitcoins, we will reach that 21 million bitcoin mark way faster than the predicted year.  So once we reach the the 21 million mark, what do you guys predict will happen?  will the bitcoin collapse?  a new virtual currency?
