Hello.
Thinking of replacing the fan before trying to overclock higher, what RPM you think the fan should have to be able to cool down the unit efficiently?

If youre getting 1th then you must have overclocked it already.

Running on 775Mhz at the moment. Only very small overclock. But was wondering what would be the maximum people can get from those.

Hey guys.
Just received my miner today and got it up and running hashing sweet 1.05Th/s so I though I say hi to you here!
Do you try to overclock the miner at all or is it not worth it?

Cheers

Sorry guys I didn't made myself clear I'm trying to get USB gekko Science, not the R606. They are very hard to come by those days for any reasonable price.

Hey guys any idea where I can get few of those with Worldwide shipping? Used to buy them off Amazon, but seems like stock has dried out there.

Do you reckon that 60W Sipolar brick should manage 4 NewPacs, or is it not enough?

Do you know how the USB bus is arranged on the Orange Pi? On the Raspi3 the usb bus and ethernet were linked so caused problems. Also you would need to find out how the power is spilt up on the sipolar hub. I know you said you have tried different ports but if you dont know how its split then you could be pushing a regulator too far and its dropping the stick.

No I don't know, but will try to find out. Also I don't know where to look for sipolars usb bus, I was expecting to receive details in the package with shipment, but that didn't happen. Wasn't it made by someone here I could contact directly?

What do you guys to run those mining farms? Raspi4?

What OS are you running on the pi? What version of the Orange Pi is it? You dont need to touch the voltage pot on the newpacs. You should be able to get 500m on stock voltage.

Orange Pi 3, Armbian Bionic 20.02.1, Sipolar USB 10 ports 60w, Arctic Cooler active fan.
I seem to be unable to even get second stick to run at 500Mhz. Always downlocks to 470-85Mhz, if I connect three one is dropping with 0 chips found. The other two seem now stable at 450Mhz.

Hello. It is close to impossible to get multiple Gekko Science miners to work at 500Mhz! Got orangepi, gekko usb brick and 3 stick by now, to get each to work at 500MHz takes quite a lot of time, but when I plug them in all. No chance! Resetting, down clocking, crashing. Even tho I didn't expect any return from any of this mining, I really though  I can just get couple of those to run stable..but no not really.

Quite disappointed after days of voltage tweeking and moving stick by stick all around the hub...
Feels like cardinal waste of money trying to have small usb mining farm...Yes ofc I know 500Mhz is high..

So at the end with gradual increase of Mhz and tuning of voltage I managed to get both miners to run on 500Mhz around 115Gh/s stable. Do you guys reckon there is more to be gained or should I be happy with it as it is now?

Thanks

I have the same USB brick and also two sticks. I had similar problem in beginning, but after some tweeking got both running in 450Mhz. On one of the sticks I had to gently move the voltage (turning the small screw) and gradually found the setting it was happy with to run stable. What Mhz you clocking your to?

I think you may have answered your own question. It could well be the LAN through the USB. Does the Orangpi not have wifi or an ethernet port?

If your pc runs win10 then dont expect much better results. Personally I had lots of trouble running my gekkos through my PC. I ended up buying a pi4 instead.

I'm running Linux mint on my PC and the result was the same..Going to try some more testing, probably get different OS on OrangePi to try to get the LAN port working properly, but as the same issue occurs on my laptop i doubt it will help.

Update: I have reduced the clock to 400Mhz and that seem to run without problem, but I expected that with Sipolar hub I should be able to run two sticks on 500Mhz fine. More testing to come. One of the sticks seem to have problem with 500 clock itself. Could changing the voltage slightly help? How would I go about it? Just turning the screw slightly?

Thanks!

I will try. Thank you for helping.

This just keep happening:

Edit: This is the full spec of setup.

OrangePi3 running raspbian, LAN cable plugged through usb adapter as the LAN driver on raspbian is not woking correctly. Sipolar 10 2.0 usb 60W, (came with USA plug so had to use adapter to be usable in NZ), arctic cooler plugged into rasp pi, 2x Gekko miner.

Can there be issue with either LAN through USB or with power to brick going via adapter?

I have now compiled cgminer on my pc to see whether the problem will be same.

Where can I find any more information on how the hub should be connected? All the information with the hub are in chinesee and on hub itself it doesn't show any labels?

This is exactly the same what was happening with my old usb hub and you guys told me it doesn't have enough power and I should get Sipolar. Now I bought Sipolar and nothing changed :/

Hello guys.

I have finally got my Sipolar powered hub, but I still struggle to see how can I get my massive mining farm (2 gekkos) to work as I'd like. WHen I have one there is no problem run it on 500Mhz and after couple of restarts it will clock up to 500 and runs fine, but with two they always get target locked lower and I can't get much more than 450 / 400. How do you do it when you run more sticks in one hub to have them all clocked to 500? I'm sure you don't just keep restarting until they all gets target to 500. Or is there a way to disable the auto target clock lock?

Thanks for any advice.

Yes I'm aware of that, compliance is of course one of the areas we also focus on, I just don't appreciate advertising another peoples services, neither new members writing their first post to approve alien advertising!

So to close this subject, regulation and compliance is one of the things I also provides guidelines on for the people interested in p2p trading. Please keep your advertising to your topics and don't scare people off!

Thanks

Anyone considering P2P trading in the United States should definitely consult with a lawyer to determine if they need to register with FinCEN as a Money Services Business (MSB) and/or get state money transmitter licenses, or avoid states that require money transmitter licenses. If you need to register as an MSB with FinCEN, you will need to comply with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).

Failure to register with FinCEN can be prosecuted as a criminal and/or civil offense.

Is the idea also to coordinate offers on Paxful instead of competing within the group of traders? Else you might invite the very traders that take away your business, isn't it.

Yes of course. The idea is to cooperate as a group, share ideas and strategies, report the suspicious buyers and such. I have already on boarded couple of friends in the past and through cooperation we all managed to earn money and reduce the risk for each of us.

Mate you should probably move this to Services, since you are offering one. Still, it's kind of a referral/Service type of thing so eh. Good luck mate.

Just did. Thanks for suggestion.
