Hello,
a rollback will not reverse all the transactions and cost a lot of money to the exchanges and peoples and "duplicates" a lot of XMG ?
If I have sent 10k XMG to bittrex the 21 august, sold them and get my BTC in my wallet and the rollback is the 20 august, will I not just get my 10k XMG back in my wallet and bittrex or the person who bought my XMG -10K XMG in their wallet ?

I understand this is frustrating while this is the situation we have at this moment, and becomes quite most recently. My looking back the chain turns out a lot of PoW blocks mined right after the fork point pointing to one /few miners own considerable hash to push the chain faster than the rest, and I go the direction that the big miners somehow reported by people might be the cause. I'd see this a dilemma we're facing when we try to maintain the whole network hash up to a limit but few parties can bring in huge hash from whichever channels they can acquire. This is the plan we are thinking of to take on at this moment:
1) Please connect to the chain that 104.128.225.215 and poolinfo.systms.org are on. Shortly, I'll get an updated block data / wallet for downloads.
Edit: You can use the block date from here to catch up http://coinmagi.org/bin/block-chain/
Place connect=104.128.225.215 in magi.conf, or
magid -connect=104.128.225.215
2) We will make changes to the PoW ASAP. I must admit and make such a note upfront here that there is no guarantee that we'll be 100% isolated from hard fork, and there is always a probability unless we grow up to a scale that no one can compete the rest in both PoS and PoW. I recognize a weak point that we keep the network hash to a lower limit to favor low-hash miner, and that is where we're suffering from, while I would remain to stay on this.
Please make suggestions.
For the security maybe you can look the komodo project (superNet), I didn't understand all the things they can do but what I've understood is you can build your own coin as a childchain on the komodo network who will be protected by the bitcoin hashrate. I don't really know if this can be compatible with magi and it's feature, it's too technical for me but it sounds great

Hello, I deleted the whole blockchain folder and let the wallet sync with only "connect=104.128.225.215" in the magi.conf file and now it seems fine, the last block number is the same for my wallet, poolinfo.systms.org and the block explorer. The wallet didn't show my 100 xmg transaction, the very first transaction in this wallet, when I open it on my desktop. The wallet run on my server, and in the block explorer i can see he staked 2 times today but my desktop only show the last one. My xmg are still here, no loss for me, only a bug with my wallet file maybe, I restored the backup I made when I created this wallet and tried the repairwallet command but nothing. I hope all this things are over and Magi will continue to grow, thank you for all your works this last days and the coming days

Yes i'm agree with you all chains are bad since the split, but before the split there was only one good chain, so I assume that the chain that show my transactions before the split is the good one or the split happened before my 2 week old transaction
edit : checked on coinmarketcap, the 7 august was the first big pump

|
|
The block explorer switched to the good chain I think, I see now my transaction from the 7 august, the explorer is up to block 1447862, in my wallet the last block is 1447962 and my transactions are not here, and the last block on https://poolinfo.systms.org/#magi is 1447962. How you can't understand? There is no good chain now. look at the date, my transactions are from ~2 weeks ago, and all this fork things started a few days ago edit : the "good" chain that shows my transactions is 100 blocks behind the "new good one" that is synced by my 1.4.1.1 wallet and didn't have my transaction

I saw this my 20th confirmation was in the last block It seems to continue to drop. I waited around 18H to get my BCC to the exchange so I don't really understand why coins like magi with fast confirmations, POS, mining for all even with old CPU or smartphone... or the few others that I follow that seems have good technology and unique features aren't more popular in the cryptoworld. What really makes the value for all this coins ? Sorry if it's a dumb question, I am still learning and trying to understand this world. It's the second fork I see, the other coin i had who forked a few months ago was completely different, we had to send the old coins to get the new ones, no free money but a simple exchange, it seems more logical to me.

Anyone know where I can sell my BCC ? I have it in a wallet but nowhere to send, I would like have free magi I have my answer, Bittrex is accepting bitcoin cash deposit now but need 20 confirmations, my first bitcoin cash transaction to split the coins get the first confirmation after a few hours and it was in the next block, I think it will take a while to get my free magi.

Hi, I have set up a new pool for the XMG (Coin Magi). For those who would like to join and mine together with us on our new pool are welcome. The address is: https://magi.trasmamod.com/We are running Pay Per Last N Shares (PPLNS) and using the MPOS software (Mining Portal Open Source). We will try our best to keep a steady uptime. Please let me know if its something. Hello, I didn't posted since a while but I follow this thread regularly, I will try your pool with my little CPU I had no problem with the registration and the mails came fast, no problem so far. I made sure I bought extra magi diuring everybody else's mad dash for BTC - looks like a good day for alts so far - Magi usually follows a little behind lets see where we get to over the next few days =)
Today was BCC day, sold a few XMG, bought BCC and enjoyed the ride. Until now I made a nice profit for buying back my XMG. Anyone know where I can sell my BCC ? I have it in a wallet but nowhere to send, I would like have free magi

Ok so just wait the downlad finish and you will see your funds after this. I'm not really an expert and try to understand all this things too but your funds never leave alone your wallet, if you never send them send out they must still be here, keep a copy of the wallet.dat file to be safe and wait for the download and anyone who understand more this things would sureley help you more than me The block explorer seems not very reliable, he didn't show at all the address from the wallet I have in my server who is using for solo mining and I have a few xmg in it from the mining and staking.

Hey ! Long time since my last come. And sadly, after another try to reach up my wallet on my Pi, I got a blk[something] error. I do not know what we said last time about this, but I might be generous if the problem is solved tonight !
Hey bud, do you use the new wallet? What if you follow the new release guide? You mean on the Pi ? This thing is so much a mess to use. I wish I could extract whatever I need to and put in on my Windows computer and do whatever is needed there. Can I do this in some way ? I don't know the Pi, if it's a linux OS you just need the wallet.dat file located in the .magi folder in the /home from your user. Install the magi wallet in windows and put the wallet.dat in the blockchain folder, I think it is located under %APPDATA% by default, I changed the blockchain folder on my setup so I don't exactly know where is it by default. Do a backup of your wallet.dat before doing anything if you accidentally delete this file you will lose your magi. I can not find the wallet.dat file on my Pi (and yes it is running on a Linux OS). I browsed manually the files and could not find it, nor with the search function. I hope you found .magi folder as mentioned by Elar. I'm afraid you have a different db version from official release, so moving wallet.dat to windows won't work. One simple thing is to empty all stuffs under .magi folder except for wallet.data, and relaunch your magid or qt wallet; let's see what happens then. I will look as this and will get back to you as soon as the Pi would have booten up. Edit : so I found the wallet.dat, removed anything but it in the folder, and launched again. But here, surprise ! My funds are not here ! This is very weird : in the wallet it is writen about 260, in block explorer 1200, and I had 5700. Did the blockchain finished to re download ? If not just wait and your funds would appear. If you used different addresses to receive funds the block explorer will only show the funds you have in 1 address and not the funds you have in the others addresses that are in your wallet.dat.

If your wallet run as root he would be in /root/.magi The .magi folder is a hidden folder, navigate to /root and type the command "ls -al" it will show you all the folders if you don't see the .magi folder do the same in the user's /home folder who run the wallet. I've setup the whole wallet many times for my solo mining tests and I don't see another places where he can be.

Can you provide a link to the thread? Would be great to check out I'd be interested in seeing that link too =) I probably need to think about spreading out my order chains a little further apart. My broardband is currently down so had to tether my bot to my phone - I think I need to think about moving onto cloud hosting LOL I found this : https://boards.4chan.org/biz/thread/1894421/xmg-magi-xmg-general-thread#p1895051It's your bot on poloniex ? he was annoying when I tried to buy some Magi last night lol I had to buy at the sellers price to get quickly my magi before going to bed

I have a little suggestion for the GUI, this is not very intuitive I have restarted the client to hope a refresh of the values and it's only when it stay at 0 for 5 min that i have the idea to pass my cursor over the values and see that i have to click to refresh. Can we have an optionnal auto refresh for those who wants ? It's not a big issue and I can deal with it now I know how to refresh.

Price is looking great - although its not so fun watching from the airport with no access to my wallet - I'm still in the action now though
Once I sold XMG for 12k, also later for 8K. Let those times come again please! (By the way, the BTC price was around 150 bucks then) I guess the dollar coin price and marketcap are at the moment ATH. I assume this is not only because of the little auto trader. I bought magi yesterday before going to bed around 3k, I love Magi lol Bitcoin is going down because the probable hard fork initiating by the chinese miners, all the other coins goes up

Thanks for the information amigo. Its always nice to hear good words. And welcome in our awesome Magi community.
Thank you Good day! I have started mining xmg yesterday and I already earned 1XMG. My rate is 20kH/s from multiple machine (low end machines). I was wondering if I am doing good because i am new to this "coin mining" concept. What confusing me more is that other coins need better machines, and this coin (magicoin) doesn't (which is an advantage for me). How can i earn more shares if i have slower rate? how does low-end devices are in advantage (correct me here please) ? I hope you guys can help me have a good start and better understanding. More powers COin Magi I'm not an expert in the magi technology and English is not my native language but I will try. Magi mining doesn't work like the others coins, it's designed to favorize the little CPU miners over the big ones with lot of power. When the total hashrate of the network grows the block reward go down, when you mine with a lot of power the only things you do is to reduce the amount of XMG you and the others miners will earn. You can use the Sweet Spot Magi Controller (Windows only I think, I didn't find a linux version) to automatically adjust the power you use for mining, when the block reward is low your CPU ran @10% and when the reward is high he goes to 100%, you only mine when it's profitable and help keeping the global hashrate low for more Magi for everyone Magi is a proof of stake coin too, you will earn XMG by just letting your wallet open, and if I have all understood staking secure the network rather than the mining power, you will earn ~5%/year of the amount you have in the wallet when he stake. I'm not sure that everything I wrote is right but someone will surely correct me if there are errors.

Hello, I just want to give some news about my solo mining experiment, here are the results after ~1 month : The server is mining and staking so it's working like I expected In my last post I was complaining about the block reward is very low the majotity of the time and not profitable for the little miners, since a week the reward is great again and my home CPU ran at 100% most of the time, I don't know what happenned, it's great for Magi and for the miners
|

I think your old i7 are better than my server CPU, my i5 is more powerfull than the intel avoton for mining I mine too in a pool, pom.m-hash, with the sweet spot controller so the CPU ran only at 100% when the block reward is greater than 12 XMG and the rest of the time he is at 10%. It's more profitable to mine in pool I think, you always have a little reward but the majority of the time the block reward is 1 XMG, when I look the graphs on the pool there are only 2-3 hours per 24H where my CPU > 10%. I like magi and the fact that it is designed for little miners with CPU but in reality magi is only profitable to the big miners, they come when the block reward is big and when the block reward is low they can quietly put their power for mining another coin and we, the little miners, have only 1 XMG blocks to mine for the majority of the time. If you want try to solo mine it's not very complicated to setup, I wrote what I did in this topic for linux, I used a tuto that I found in this topic and just changed a few things. For windows I have an option for solo mining in the sweet spot controller program but I never tried it. You will not be rich in solo mining, only happy when you find a block

Hello, I will just give you some news after my tests : 7 days solo mining on my server @100% CPU (Intel C2750 Avoton 8 cores 8 threads @2.4 Ghz), he finds 3 blocks for a total of 7,81 XMG. I'm happy it works
