1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [FRC] - Difficulty Adjustment fork moved closer! [HARD-FORK @ block #28336!] on: May 22, 2013, 04:49:05 PM
Yes, since blocks are coming so slow atm it is acting that way. It is "up-to-date" though, don't worry.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [FRC] - Difficulty Adjustment fork moved closer! [HARD-FORK @ block #28336!] on: May 22, 2013, 04:14:32 PM
Think about it this way. Current net hash is around 50ghash average and after new filter is in place the dif drops immediately 1/4 making the optimal net hash 250ghash as opposed to somewhere over 1thash. This would bring block times down to about 50 minute blocks on average if we sit at 1/5 recommended network hashrate (50 now to the new 250 optimal) and that will drop 5%ish every 9 blocks until the dif meets net hash to get 10 minute blocks cranking out.

And when the dif drops to 1/4 of what it is now, the profit calculator on dustcoin will show near 85% profitability due to new lower mining dif. As the dif further lowers to adjust to net hash the profitability will continue to rise along with more miners coming back to the network and hopefully the price for FRC increases as it becomes traded more again.

It just means more for us to mine when the dif adjust hits. Carry on people.

Someone didn't like us stickied, yet FTC is stickied?

Can any GPU farms or ASICs jump on our network for today to help this final push to reach our block goal? There's a prize up for grabs and a good chunk of FRC. Smiley
6  Other / Off-topic / Re: The Dark Shadow Creeping Over Our Forums - limitless on: May 17, 2013, 02:11:45 PM
You all do realize this is just empowering him right? I'd advise a locked sticky regarding his status and to avoid him but starting a thread and giving it lots of attention is only going to bring a smile to his face and an urge to continue virtually shanking people.

Why is limitless still around or not banned from posting?
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Elacoin | Released | Fair Elastic Scrypt Mining | No Premine on: May 15, 2013, 06:33:25 PM
Mat5X - Thank you for your comprehensive answer! :-)

PS. I think that the most important problem to resolve now is to find an idea how to create a market where new altcoin can be exchanged for services and other benefits. It is possible - on forum there are a lot of announcements like 'looking for programmer' or 'need help for create an new service' etc., but the market needs a little bit less anonymity and more trust. But how to fulfil these expectations in cryptocoins world?

Why not FRC?
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Introducing Feathercoin2, a feathercoin fork! With windows binaries! on: May 14, 2013, 04:51:12 PM
Screw it, I am going to fork your forked fork of a fork and call it FC-cubed (FC3). Information regarding release will be created in a new thread shortly.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Elacoin | Released | Fair Elastic Scrypt Mining | No Premine on: May 14, 2013, 01:54:11 PM
So, No windows binary at launch - most people don't know how to compile source, and after 9 hours of it being released over 11k blocks have been mined? Hah. Love it. Dif has bumped so high already due to its popularity and insanely quick re-targets. It was fun watching this coin come and go so fast.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][YAC] yacoin: yet another altcoin. START is now. on: May 08, 2013, 05:19:32 PM
I guess I am lucky? 8 blocks mined in 2.5 hours. what is the command in the debug console for current difficulty?
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what the hell is the deal with all the ddos attacks on every alt currency? on: May 07, 2013, 05:01:36 PM
Also, I think there a huge number of newbie pool operators who don't know how to deal with the traffic.  Their not being DDoSed they're just hammered with legit traffic and their running everything off a potato.  There are of course DDoS going on but that seems to be a scape goat as well.

Are you saying my potato farm won't handle the traffic? But I just upgraded from mini-spuds.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FreiCoin Giveaway! <<The Best AltCoin>> Get your FREE FRC now on: May 07, 2013, 05:00:04 PM
Again I am all for the future of this coin and I am pointing several people to invest and mine it. When the services are available I will spend my FRC on hookers and blow, and they will give the FRC to their "managers" and then in turn they spend that on frivolous things - but then again what do I know, I am just bender.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Now Open] $1200 for >1.1MH/s Litecoin Miner -- Vorksholk's Mining Solutions on: May 07, 2013, 01:13:46 PM
This is a great idea and I am glad people are interested in what you have to offer. I am sure this point has been brought up but not everyone has PC building knowledge/time+patience/will to want to set up dedicated mining rigs. As investors in mining they simply want to throw money at something and make magic happen, which is what service you provide.

If you do end up cranking up sales and getting more people involved let me know - I'll shoot a PM your way.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why just new "scrypt" coins and no new "SHA-256" coins ? on: May 07, 2013, 01:08:22 PM

But your order book is empty?
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solomining Bitbar on: May 03, 2013, 07:22:54 PM
Unless you have a lot of hash to spare I don't think solo still profits here.

Edit: Those settings work and I didn't mean to discourage your goals.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] GCoin release on: May 03, 2013, 07:19:16 PM
You bumped in less than 2 minutes...is that a record?
