2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2025/2026 on: September 28, 2025, 11:59:08 AM
Crystal palace beating Liverpool in yesterday's match is something that surprised me, it was unexpected but it's also something I personally consider to be good to make the tournament look or appear more competitive,  a tournament where a particular team doesn't lose of of their game but keep beating every other team to remain at the top till the very end of the season often becomes less of a competition and appear boring to me over time, but in the tournament where every club is struggling to stay ahead because they are all in a loggerhead battle with very tight points ranges, such a tournament appear every interesting and every game or match often counts as important.

So, I really hope that other clubs like Arsenal will do all they can to improve in their position and give Liverpool a tight chase, not Arsenal alone but other clubs as well, this would make this season one to not to be forgetten in a jiffy.
The Premier League always presents fierce matches and fierce competition, so don't be afraid of that.

Liverpool's defeat may have surprised some, but we also have to consider Crystal Palace's strength at the start of the season. They have such impressive quality of play that I think they deserved to win.

Liverpool won't have it easy this season. I see several teams with similar levels of performance, especially since it's still early in the season. We'll continue to see how the competition and pressure will be put on various teams in the title race. Crystal Palace will be eagerly awaiting to see how consistent their performances have been at the start of the season. If they can do that, there's a strong possibility of a major upset in the Premier League this season.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2025/26 on: September 28, 2025, 11:25:08 AM

Atletico Madrid players didn't look like they were fighting to lose this match. Their style of play made it seem like they were destined to win. They saw the match against Real Madrid as an opportunity. Their poor performances in previous matches of the tournament against relatively small opponents did not reflect that at all in this match. Atletico played so dominantly that they probably forgot that they were playing against one of the best teams of the season. Real Madrid defeat marked their first defeat. Alonso will learn a lot from the team error and will continue to improve.
An experienced coach is needed when facing matches like this, Simeone clearly showed his experience here, he prepared a tactic that prevented Real Madrid from showing his true abilities. Here Xabi's shortcomings were visible, but of course, with time, Xabi will understand what to do when facing a derby match. Congratulations to Atletico on today's big win, they deserved it.
Atletico Madrid showed a different game, as if they had a different energy not seen in previous matches. This was because they were playing in a derby, a prestigious match, which made Atletico Madrid play differently than usual.

Simeone's tactics in the second half clearly changed everything and left Xabi Alonso confused on the sidelines. Real Madrid controlled ball possession for over 70% of the time, but Simeone's long-ball tactics proved to be a struggle for Real Madrid's back line. They even managed to score three goals in the second half, making the score 5-2. This was a crucial victory for Atletico Madrid and also an embarrassing defeat for Real Madrid.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: September 28, 2025, 11:06:17 AM
It was so close for Juventus to win yesterday actually. They scored the equalizer and a red card came for Atalanta right after it. Juventus had a time period like 15 minutes to score (including the stoppage time) which was quite enough for it I think.

But they failed...  Sad  Still I understand that I took a risk with their win. But after seeing the way Inter dominating the game against Cagliari, I wish my parlay won. Anyways, maybe I might go for a single on Napoli while the odds for their win has gone up to 3.70.
I also think Juventus can win the match, but it seems their attack can't penetrate Atalanta's very solid defense. This result is very detrimental for Juventus, as they should have won the match and are playing at home.

As for the AC Milan vs. Napoli match, it's very difficult, and I think it's very risky to bet on Napoli winning. AC Milan, playing at home, will certainly have much greater motivation to try not to lose. Furthermore, AC Milan's quality has improved this season, making this a fierce and difficult match for both teams.
5  Economy / Economics / Re: Is a University Degree Still Worth Anything? on: September 28, 2025, 10:48:08 AM
It is not just not enough to get a job; people with degree easily lose jobs because they dont have appropriate skills to perform work. I would say that degree is an overall, superficial knowledge. And it only helps to learn how to do work tasks. While skill is a knowledge that let start doing work tasks from the start. When I got my job, my employer only looked on my diploma, put a tick somewhere in system that I am not a total newbie, and started teaching and showing what I will be doing at work.
Uhmmm. Interesting to hear what you said about your supervisor at work. It is what should be adopted in all work places. The degree can in a way become the basic degree of one's qualifications for a particular cadre of roles and responsibilities but afterwards more attention should be placed on the training and capacity building of the worker to allow them work effectively even if they had shown in their CV they have those skills, it should not stop the company or workplace from.doing it's fresh training of the staff do they can work very efficiently and effectively with results instead of just recruiting them and leaving them to work without proper training for years.
When you are in a company, regardless of the company's policies, but at the beginning when we enter, no one knows each other, so it creates legality that shows that someone is capable and a university degree is proof of everything, so I think this legality is still very important, regardless of the debate that some work is done without showing legality, but we should look at the big picture.
6  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: September 28, 2025, 10:27:41 AM
I agree, the truth is this makes me remember that on the Spanish board I said something like that and I didn't know that leaving some discretionary income to buy on the dip was a variant of the DCA method, because the DCA method consists of buying daily, weekly, monthly whatever the quota of money to accumulate, I thought that some other income to buy on the dip was another strategy or method and no, it turns out that it is the variant, but it is the safest way to do intelligent DCA work.
If you are buying regularly with the DCA accumulating strategy, their is no point disturbing yourself about the dip because you can equally buy the lowest part of the dip through the dca accumulating method, since you will get to buy at every price interval regardless of it price.
What Investors are advised to do is to always have a reserve funds in place so that when their is a dip in the market, you can use your reserve funds to buy and accumulate Bitcoin aggressively then, but if you have no reserve funds in place while accumulating Bitcoin through the dca accumulating strategy, their is no point doing more than yourself because the DCA accumulating strategy is quite ok, and your investment will be fine as long as you stay on track while accumulating Bitcoin weekly or monthly.
Using the DCA strategy is quite good and it is for future investments, but there is no harm in using spare money to buy more when the Bitcoin price drops, that is an addition we do to expand the portfolio more. Besides, the DCA strategy that we have planned from the beginning must still be implemented consistently, doing some other things to improve I think there is no harm.
7  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you satisfied with the outcome of this bull run? on: September 27, 2025, 10:34:28 AM
Before this bull run, there were diverse predictions about the price Bitcoin would reach. The most popular one was $100k and others also felt it would go above that amount. Bitcoin's ATH stands at $124,290.93.

In your own view, do you think Bitcoin performed below or above your expectations in this bull run?
Bitcoin's performance has been very satisfactory. So far, the market price for Bitcoin hasn't made me think the worst.
If I were to see Bitcoin's price below $100,000, I wouldn't call it a bad performance. In fact, the price is still strong above $100,000, and a return to $120,000 or more is very possible.
Here, I reiterate that it's not about price to measure Bitcoin's performance, but rather how people are ready to accept it.
If we look at the overall price of the last few months, of course no one is disappointed with the price correction that occurred, in fact many people are happy because they can buy more because the percentage of Bitcoin's price to rise again is very large regardless of when it happens, but personally I am quite optimistic that this period is not over yet and there is a big possibility that the correction that is happening now is a correction before an increase occurs, usually that's the case and I am still quite optimistic.
8  Economy / Economics / Re: Always invest from your discretionary funds on: September 27, 2025, 10:11:33 AM
Investment is not what we can do without having consideration for the plan we have toward it, because this one of the reasons why some have failed in their bitcoin investment, aside from knowing on what to do, we also have to take time to know how to go about making an investment in a profitable manner, starting from the fund to use and the necessary strategies we must employ to have a better experience in it.
Since we are in a bitcoin forum, let's focus on crypto investments in general. Well, i agree with you that any kind of investment requires a minimum of knowledge. On this basis, i see demo trading accounts are one of the few best solutions to learn about crypto investments and cryptocurrencies in general for newbies. No one could teach you how to invest in virtual assets better than practical tasks, and since it's an important mission, it's better not to practice with real money until full general understanding of how things work in this field.
I think here we must first understand what investment is and its purpose. We continue to discuss Crypto investment here because it is undeniable that Crypto investment is the best for the future and is also very easy to do. We can simplify it by making small investments consistently with discretionary income every month or week, so I think that way we don't need to overthink.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: September 26, 2025, 04:02:53 AM
I will put my money on Napoli to win, if I must, in that game. AC Milan is in top form now, but I don't think they will be able to beat Napoli. Most teams have not really faced a tough opponent, but Napoli performs better against tough opponents. Milan is inconsistent, and that might play against them this weekend.
AC Milan has an advantage of not playing in Europe, so they don't need to reserve any players. Plus, they will be playing at home, so they can use that to their advantage, but still, I'll bet on Napoli.

If you want to play it safe, I think an under 3.5 goals will not be a bad option. Neither teams concede much. They might not want to attack too much, so the opponent doesn't exploit their defence. I've not checked it to see the odds, but if it's reasonable, I'll bet on it.
The feature is tricky. Obviously, Napoli is the stronger side, but I won't be quick to give them a win. It won't be easy to win at the San Siro. Last season, they won AC Milan at the San Siro, but I'm sure they can do it this time around. After AC Milan's shocking home defeat on matchday one, they've bounced back and are on a three match winning streak. So it's kind of difficult for me to give Napoli a win, but over 2.5 goals looks feasible.
AC Milan do make sure they show no signs of weakness at home so I can agree to them been able to really making it tough for Napoli but Napoli on the other hand will fight hard because they are looking at the league title this season so basically we should expect less goals but more performance from both sides since it looks like they both have something at stake.
This is a match between two top Serie A teams, and it's also a prestigious match, so it won't be easy to predict who will win, despite Napoli's strong performance this season. However, AC Milan, playing at home, is also worth keeping an eye on. AC Milan's quality this season has improved slightly compared to last season.

I think the odds for both teams are still the same, although the betting market slightly favors AC Milan because they're playing at home. As for the betting options, I think betting on a BTTS (Both Teams to Score) is the most appropriate move.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2025/26 on: September 25, 2025, 02:30:09 PM
Real Oviedo - Barcelona...

It is a very easy game for Hansi Flick's students on paper. However Real Oviedo haven't conceded too many goals at home. They have conceded most of their goals away.

But as a reminder, they faced Real Madrid home already and lost by 0-3.  Wink  I expect Barcelona to do a similar work against them. -1.5 handicap on Barcelona @1.66 seems really nice.
Let's just look at the overall strength of both teams, and I think there's a significant difference between Real Oviedo and Barcelona. Barring any major upsets, Barcelona should easily win this match.
A handicap of -1.5 with odds of 1.66 is certainly worth betting on. Barcelona currently has a very strong team, and it's highly likely they'll win by more than 2 goals.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: September 25, 2025, 02:11:32 PM
Bookmakers are currently pricing this game as follows:

2.40 - 3.25 - 3.10

It turns out that despite Napoli being the favorite in the title race, they are the underdogs in this particular game. I don't even know if it's fair to rate the current champion and race leader as 3.10? Plus, Milan is far from being the strongest competitor and is very far from its best days. For some reason, I'm starting to think that betting on Napoli is the right choice, or that I could take the more reliable Napoli Double Chance.
It’s a bit disrespectful to Napoli by my standards. Milan is better than a year ago — we can see that from the first few games — but they’re not title contenders better just yet. So putting Napoli at 3.10 odds is a little odd, but we’ll take that and play a ticket with a little X2 on Napoli.  Grin
AC Milan is playing at home, which I believe is why bookmakers are favoring AC Milan and offering slightly higher odds for a Napoli win.
This isn't meant to belittle Napoli, but I think it's realistic. AC Milan is playing at home, and their performance has improved this season, giving them a greater chance of winning.

As for betting options, I think it's safer to bet on goals against goals. Both teams are likely to score in this match, as Napoli and AC Milan have been quite productive in their previous matches. So, this could be a safer bet than simply being tempted by the high odds offered by bookmakers for Napoli.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Excitement in gambling and How to Control Yourself ? on: September 25, 2025, 01:52:38 PM
It's always need to be on the account that exceeding to whatever set up you made due to uncontrol emotions may lead you to lose a lot. Better to keep that focus in following whatever strategy and set limitation that you create before playing, staying and not to lead your emotion to dominte will let you to avoid any unnecessary reaction or any mislead direction to your gambling participation.
You could say that it's better to get to the end no matter what, but that's Based on the Money you're willing to lose because it's the only way to Continue to the end and not to the end of your Pocket , because not only would that be an Immature act but it Represents a Possible decapitalization.
I think it's a natural thing in the betting that we do, even though we are able to control it well, but there are times when we want something different, namely getting out of the strategy and following our emotions and I think it should be done for the pleasure of the gambling that we do, but what is important is how we can control our finances, that's the most important thing so that it doesn't have a bad impact because of the gambling that we do.
13  Economy / Economics / Re: Fake it til you make it? on: September 25, 2025, 01:36:42 PM
There's a saying that wealth attracts wealth and this kind of situation is the best time to apply it. When you have friends that are doing well, you ought to fake it to fit in the circle and hope to benefit from opportunity that might come any moment. If you looked pity in their midst, they will only see you as a liability and you'll lose being part of the squad.
So are you advising people to pretend to be what they are not just because the circle of their friends are rich, that's not not a good idea, inah e my reason for saying this, dude faking it has never helped anyone, it is better you work hard to make your own money so that people will come looking for your friendship than living a fake life, dude fake life is fucking expensive hope you know that, is not easy to leave a fake life, the worst part of this fake life is, it will make you to start living those life that even when you are alone, you will start regretting some things and blaming yoursel, am this kind of person that believe in myself so even though my financial status don't match your, I don't care and no matter what I don't like asking anyone for money rather I seek for opportunities that can grow me into something big with the little I have that is who I am.
Idealism is necessary, and we don't need to be someone else to be able to enter the friendship of successful people. However, we also shouldn't be selfish because not everyone sees things from the perspective of wealth alone. Sometimes, even though someone doesn't have money, there are other things that can benefit others, so many people want to be close friends with them from wealthy circles.
We must be confident in our own abilities, but we also need to have many relationships, so we must be smart in mingling, but that doesn't mean we have to pretend.
14  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy Buy Buy or Sell Sell Sell? on: September 24, 2025, 05:03:04 AM
When it comes to crypto, we shouldn’t be in rush to make money.
The subject of discussion in this thread is Bitcoin, and as such I don't really see why you should be bringing up that word "Crypto"  coz doing so makes it look as if we are talking about all those shitcoins.
You are actually right, here is not a place to discuss about shitcoins inrespective of what he meant. He may be emphasizing or referring to Bitcoin but using crypto to explain without knowing that he's wrong. But However it is good we try to bring to there notice that crypto is not Bitcoin and will never be Bitcoin. Crypto are often considered shitcoins and or memcoins with low to mo value.
That seems to be the understanding or language of those unfamiliar with Bitcoin. Yes, I understand that, and one must learn to differentiate between the two.
Here, we're focusing on discussing Bitcoin for the long term, regardless of the strategy we use, as it is a long-term investment option.

I think it could be made easier for newbies who don't understand. They just need to trust and start investing using the DCA method and collect the results in the future. I'm quite confident it will yield significant profits.

16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The rich is hugely favoured in gamble. on: September 21, 2025, 02:51:38 PM
I was having a conversation about gambling with two young men and one of them said gambling is not for the poor people, that it has the proclivity to favour rich people much than with the poor, and the examples he gave  made me to come close to endorsing his interpretation.

His argument is that the rich people gambling do not have to pack a lot of odds as in parlay bet to accumulate a high odd size that will give a satisfying potential win. The rich has the money to risk huge amount to a single game for instance 2 odds staked with $1 million to win $2 millions,  but the poor staking with $100 to win  $2 million has to pick multiple legs to accumulate odds to get such potential win.  It hence decreases the gambling winning chance whilst the rich gambler chance remains increased.
On the one hand, that's true, but it's very unfair to compare the capital used to bet. I think the winning percentage is the same, but it depends on how we choose to bet. I disagree with the statement that rich people benefit. I think it's the same, but this applies to people who don't use cold or unused money to gamble. If someone forces their money into gambling, it makes them afraid of losing, which makes that fear difficult to think clearly.

In all gambling, we only need to look at the winning percentage, regardless of how much capital we have. We as gamblers must also be realistic.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2025/2026 on: September 21, 2025, 02:28:19 PM
I am seriously shocked that United managed to beat Chelsea. I mean it is ok that I lost my bet, shit happens and I always do lose, it is not the first time. But losing on this game? That is seriously shocking, and I may even say I am slightly happy about losing, if it means United could recover from their spell. Obviously a lot of things had to get together for them to get a win like this, but it's still great.
Not really shocking me at all considering Chelsea's defenders has been so shite since the start of the current season. Yet Maresca was so stubborn in using inexperienced defenders instead of the quality defenders. So they deserved the lost to the MU. The only thing i can't believe is that their goalie didn't even understand getting a red card during the early minutes much worse than conceded a goal.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
Maresca made numerous mistakes this season, causing the team's performance to decline significantly. I'm not surprised by Chelsea's defeat, as Chelsea's performance this season has been very disappointing. Initially, many thought Chelsea could improve after improving and rebounding last season, including winning the Club World Cup. However, Maresca's changes have further degraded the team's performance.

On the other hand, Manchester United are playing at home, but I don't consider this victory the start of a revival for Manchester United. Amorim can perhaps only use this victory as a boost to the players' mentality and confidence for the next match.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: September 21, 2025, 02:05:14 PM
Roma has achieved a striking statistic.
Each of their four league matches so far has resulted in a single goal. They've only lost 0-1 at home to Torino. They've won their other matches 1-0.
Today, they defeated Lazio 0-1 in the Roma derby. Both teams are from the same city, but Lazio had the home crowd advantage.
The match was as close as expected, with the referee allowing as much violence as possible, but he did give Belahyane a red card in the 86th minute, forcing Lazio to finish the match with 10 men.
I've never liked Lazio. If they continue with this football mentality, they'll be bottom of the table.
It was really a closely contended match if I'm being honest and it clearly showed that Roma would be the favorites to win as they kept applying more pressure, often causing their opponents to make mistakes. At least Gasperini can comfort himself that he has won the first derby since taking over the club after they lost to Torino. Something that hasn't happened in five years.
Lolz, I equally share a certain dislike of Lazio cause they are not the type of team one can rely on and it just looks to me that they aren't really fighting for anything in the Serie A other than trying their best to finish in a spot that would see them participate in European competition the next season.
Lazio lacks strength and can't maintain consistent performance, and they're not a team capable of competing at the top.

I think Roma's one-goal win is fair, as they played much better. However, the high tension of the match is understandable, as it's a derby, so things are different for both teams. Roma was able to maintain their consistent performance. They now have a well-organized defense and attack, making Roma's play more secure, resulting in fewer goals. But I think that's fair, as long as they consistently get three points.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2025/26 on: September 21, 2025, 01:47:48 PM
Last season Mbappe was underestimated because his arrival made Real Madrid main player Rodrygo sidelined and Mbappe replaced his position but Mbappe has not been able to give his maximum performance and he was criticized now he has started to show his greatness again and started to be more productive this season I am sure he will be the same as when he was at PSG so that Real Madrid is getting closer to the title, yes hopefully Mbappe does not experience serious problems because he is one of the most important key players in the front line if he is absent the change will be felt.
He was not underestimated; rather, he was overestimated. Real Madrid fans wanted him to perform wonders immediately he arrived. But they fail to understand that he needs time to get used to the La Liga because it is different from the French League. Now that he has stabilized, the club is seeing the best of Mbappe. His target is to win the UCL and see if he can achieve his goal this season.
It's very possible. Mbappé has quite good qualities and can contribute significantly to the Real Madrid team. I believe he will be able to bring Real Madrid titles.

Last season, many linked Mbappé's presence to Real Madrid's slump, saying that Mbappé disrupted the team's harmony, especially in attack. I never thought that was the case. In fact, Mbappé is capable of making a significant contribution, as evidenced by the goals he scores.
Real Madrid have made many improvements this season and will be better than last season, so I'm confident Mbappé can be much better this season.
20  Economy / Economics / Re: The economy of having children on: September 21, 2025, 01:17:23 PM
Parents don't see children as last hope of becoming wealthy, there is no bad feeling of counting on your children to help out in your old age. Most parents raise their children, give them the best education and best training despite not being financially capable enough, it takes a lot to raise a child and hoping on your children to care for you at an old age isn't a bad idea.

Children are blessings, and it shouldn't be bad receiving those blessings during old age after giving them the best you can at an early age. One good turn should deserve another, based on the sacrifices of parents, every child should take it as a responsibility to care for their older parents.
It's something that happens naturally, even though the parents never thought that way from the start. They are very sincere in developing their children to be successful, and every parent even wants their children to surpass them in everything they do. That's a parent's achievement.
Caring for parents in the future is a reciprocal process that occurs naturally. If parents have worked hard for their children, then in the future, the children will also do the same for their parents.
