Anyone offering drop ship service from Shanghai to US?

I am looking for the same. So far yoybuy answered me (through online support) saying they can reship the coins... but if anybody is willing to ask them again would be nice to double confirm.

5  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory + Ubuntu on: March 06, 2017, 02:49:18 PM
Ok. Finally I was able to solve the issue. Not sure what solved the issue... I reinstalled all Windows + VMware. Also noticed the VM had the date set up incorrectly and seems that was making armory/BitcoinCore not working properly. Working correctly after setting date correctly and redownloading blockchain.

What version of Armory are you using? The current latest version of 0.95.1. In general, you should use the latest versions; Armory 0.95.1 and Bitcoin Core 0.13.2.

I tried 0.95.1 and 0.95 with Bitcoin Core 0.13.2, 0.11.1, etc. Always there is some problem...  For example, with latest Ubuntu, latest bitcoin Core I remember I had the RPC issue. I solved it by unchecking "Let armory run bitcoind" but after that then I had the issue of Armory taking 2h always to get online... and when it was online was showing wrong balance. Also tried older Armory versions like 0.93. In this case armory was always crashing just after finishing scanning blockchain. After a lot of debugging I give up... just want to know somebody who has Armory running on ubuntu to say his versions so I can make same setup.

Hi,

Can anybody with a working Armory installation on Ubuntu tell me his setup. I have been all past week trying to make work armory in Ubuntu with infinite problems. What I would like to know is:

Ubuntu version
Armory version
BitcoinCore version

Also I would like to know, having armory synced, if you close and open it again how much time takes to get again online. In one of the setups I did was "working" but everytime I opened I needed 2h to get online (even closing and opening in 5s).

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for your reply. Sure, I will make a new vm to test the testing version. I will let you know.

Hi,

First, thanks goatpig for all your effort to keep this project alive.

I have been using Armory for some years and recently I installed this new version. I installed it in fresh ubuntu install and I got many problems to make it work. One of the problems was Armory not being able to talk to bitcoind (RPC error in log). I saw some people had this issue and fixed it unchecking the option (Let armory execute bitcoind.....). I did this and it appears is working... but I am still not sure 100% is working.

What happens now is. Having Armory empty (without wallets), it says is online and synced. I close armory, I open it again. It starts building databases, just a few minutes (around 5) and then starts "Organizing blockchain". Problem is... it take hours! Even having Armory synced and online, if I close it, and in order to having working again I have to wait 3h. This does not make too much sense as you have the wallet online, and suddenly if you close you have to wait 3h again.. so is this an issue? normal behavior? Just in case, I run armory in virtual machine, but I have always done this without problems like this one.

Thanks!

Hello,

budget is 2BTC, but I would like to buy more than just one coin. After a lot of hours looking at collectibles and your comments I think more or less now I understand the coin types. I think I prefer casacius as I see they are the popular ones. Just a few questions:

- Some coins have "ERROR" in title. What this mean exactly? is this something bad and its value should be less?
- I read how the coin works. Private key is under the hologram, so if somebody removed it to see private key, in the coin you could appreciate that. Does anybody have examples about this, so if seller send me coin pictures I can see if the hologram was removed or not.
- Last question... some coins for sale have GRADED. As I understand there was some verification from external party that coin has its real btc value inside. How this graded works and how much I can trust on it.

Thanks everybody!

Hi,

I want to buy for my gf's birthday a physical bitcoin coin. I have been looking the forum but its becoming a bit confusing. Could someone just make small summary what is out there?

My goal is to buy a coin that it contains real bitcoins inside. Something between 0.1 - 0.5. She is bitcoin fan but I am new to this.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!
