1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Accidentally used a fake Helix Light Grams Account on: March 09, 2017, 03:19:23 AM
I tried to use Helix Light for the first time a couple weeks ago. I googled helix grams and went to the first site that popped up "https://www.helixlight.us" which turns out is a fake scam site. It took me week emailing with the real helix support team to figure this out.

So now my .181 Bitcoins still sit in the fake helix wallet I deposited them into:

Wallet ID "d9620ada7bce7d31"

Deposit Address "1LzR9LdBbciuVHk454QVVHQK1UMhuvjiwu"

TxID "4efd5f1094938089fe0b416284b5702ffc0dd8dda500f217d108e5d806b9d94f"

My question is, is there anyway I can recoup my coins? Send this wallet a message? Request a transfer? etc?

Any help would be appreciated.

2  Economy / Service Discussion / Helix Light - Grams - Customer Service? on: March 01, 2017, 03:30:53 PM
Hey dudes,
I tried using Helix This weekend and have had a horrible experience. My coins never came through (over $200) even though Blockchain showed them definitely being deposited into Helix. I've sent 5 messages to their customer service and admin emails and have gotten no response.

Has anyone ever had this happen before? Does anyone know the best way to actually communicate with these dude bros? cuz their suggested emails for customer service and admin are not working.

Thanks,
Poudini
3  Economy / Service Discussion / Helix Light - Grams Transaction Never Went Through on: February 27, 2017, 09:01:27 PM
Hey Everybody,
Hoping some of y'all have some experience dealing with this situation.

I used Helix Light Grams this Saturday in hopes of tumbling some coins. I went to their page, entered the final destination address, then copy pasted the deposit address and transferred my coins to them. After about 30-45 mins nothing was happening so I entered my txID into a Transaction Accelerator. I then entered the TXid into Blockchain and watched the confirmations mount up, but still nothing happened on Helix Light. Now it's been over 48 hours and still they haven't sent my coins. I've sent them 2 messages to their customer service email with pgp encryption, and no response. In my last email I just asked them to simply send me my coins back to my bitcoin wallet and provided them with the address. Still no response.

Anybody have any advice for me to hopefully recoup my coins?

The transaction to Helix now has over 350 confirmations and had over 50 within an hour so I know they received my Bitcoin, I'm just not sure why they didn't come out of the tumbler.

thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Question about transferring Bitcoin from Gemini on: February 25, 2017, 06:29:43 PM
So now I have 10 confirmations and still it says "Waiting for Payment" Also, I just noticed on my Helix status page the Helix Address has changed from the original address I sent my bitcoin to.

Is that normal?

You are taking a rather large chance sending bitcoin directly from Gemini to a mixing service. Coinbase closes accounts for that. FWIW at least use an intermediary wallet.

Really? That's not good news. I asked a friend before doing this and he said that he sends to helix straight from Coinbase and has for over a year and has had no problems.

7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Question about transferring Bitcoin from Gemini on: February 25, 2017, 04:32:57 PM
Hey Guys,
I opened a Gemini Account a week ago or so and bought some coin in hopes of making some money on the rising bitcoin prices. Everything 's been all good. My funds finally cleared and I just transferred some coins to Helix Light-Grams, which I just noticed has an 8 hour time limit for transactions after that funds are lost. My question is, has anyone ever transferred coins from Gemini and how long did this process take?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thx.

Thanks man, that transaction accelerator worked like a charm. I entered my txID and my transaction went through in like 30 mins.

Cheers!

11  Bitcoin / Electrum / Electrum Bitcoin Wallet Question on: February 23, 2017, 06:49:08 PM
Hey everyone,
So I recently transferred some coins from Bitcoin Qt to Electrum because I heard that Electrum was a better wallet. Shortly thereafter I opened a Gemini account, funded it and started doing some trading. I decided to go ahead and transfer my coins from Electrum to Gemini to have all my coins in one location. The transfer showed up on Gemini and said it would take 2 hours before the coins would be available to me to trade or sell etc. Unfortunately they just sat there for days, nothing happened and then the message disappeared and the coins were never transferred. Then I opened my Electrum wallet and it said that my coins were in limbo for like 3 days. Now it finally says I have a balance but whenever I try to transfer my coins anywhere I get this message

"error: The transaction was rejected by network rules.  (258: txn-mempool-conflict)

If anybody out there can help me get to where I can transfer my coins to a different wallet I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks,
Poudini
