Like mentioned many many times before, DeepOnion needs a better exchange like KuCoin even if it will cost a fee or we will fall behind forever Onion is over. This thread is dead, official forum is dead too - even devs are almost done posting there. No posts, no marketing, no community. Instead, pumping fake volume with bots is now extend of their ambitions. Pumping volume could help prevent delisting from KuCoin, so there was some merit to it then, but not after it took place. I don't see how this will help them go back with that attitude. Best case scenario this is a failed project, worst - successful scam. Move on, stop posting here and don't bump this thread, so other people won't be exposed to highly suspicious and risk project that deeponion is. This is my last post here as well.

Anyone who can update me on the whole onion thing? It doesnt seem like it has gained good traction yet?
Devs failed to address 2 major issues: listing onion at decent exchange and marketing, done right it could rebuild community, now all that is left is maybe 10 people posting on their forum patting each other back and saying best is still to come lol. All of that while bullrun is happening. That was their best chance for comeback. They didn't care to capitalize on it, so now project is most probably dead. Alts are aboard the train and growing, onion is lying in the dirt and rotting. And to think this could be avoided if ONLY they weren't so incompetent and kept onion listed at KuCoin. Couldn't be that hard if obvious scam coins like TKY are still there and their volume is maybe 2000$.

according last tweetter post: 1st January 2021 Segwit will activate and will become confirmed 60 blocks later confirming the fork has been completed. was it launched already? Wny no news about it? Why dont you have any marketing activity while we have such big bullrun? new listing to big exchanges? Devs won't do nothing about marketing (''because it's a community project'', so community should do the work for them lol) Devs won't do nothing about listing to exchanges (again because this is a community project, so community should help with listing - whatever is left of it tried and were send off with empty hands, not to mention they want to stay anonymous and that already closes door to most exchanges) Devs won't do nothing about rebuilding community (which makes above look like a bad joke, because how can you expect community to help if there is no community at all?) Avoid this coin because you will most probably just loose money. Community is dead, there are no solid exchanges to trade on, volume is a joke and possibly bumped with bots so forget about BIG GAINS or if you hope to become millionaire, there is simply not enough demand to sell coins that you (may)got. As to why this is happening, well: they either don't care, are too incompetent or are scammers. Reading their forum is hilarious - it's literally soviet propaganda style, which makes me think some of them might be Russians, given this and broken English.

''We don't need proper exchanges'', ''They will come to us, not we to them'', ''We didn't paid for the listing before, so we won't pay now''. Continue to deal with shady exchanges in order to give DeepOnion community false conviction that everything is fine and there is safe platform for trading. More people will lose their coins. If DeepOnion was regulated project, Devs would be rotting in jail for misleading investors/community and mishandling the project. There are no funds to pay for listing on proper exchange since liquidity is dry as desert, community is dead so forget about getting listed by voting. Nothing will change until this coin is taken somehow to at least single decent exchange that will deliver platform for proper trading, followed by marketing campaign.

Only exchange that is decent and potentially open for DeepOnion is KuCoin, nothing else matters, rest are shit exchanges where nobody who is not naive will transfer bigger chunks of money. But given how devs were willing to go around the ''issue'' of involving themselves with registration process (because they want to remain anonymous) by using some random user from their forum as proxy, I say chances for relisting are low.

buy it
Why would you buy a coin that has dead community, dead volume and not a single decent exchange? Even if price would reach 50% of ath, you probably won't be able to sell your coins because there won't be enough demand, unless you are big playa who invested whole 100$. If you put thousands of dollars into this projet, R.I.P.

Because it's a shitcoin best case scenario, worst case - scam. Don't expect decent things like listing on proper exchange from people who couldn't keep their coin on ONLY exchange that mattered, which was KuCoin. They were delisted because... they ignored KuCoin attempts to contact them and now they are left with bunch of crap exchange with fake volume. No more needs to be said. 20$ ath was a one time hit wonder due to great advertisement at beginning and not tarnished reputation. We are probably in front of another bubble, coins are doubling their price and guess which project is stuck in dev hellhole?

And how should they be made aware of DeepOnion? Any Marketing strategy?
Marketing strategy is literally ''our project will be great, we won't have to reach to the people - they will come to us''. Same with listing DO to decent exchange: ''they (exchanges) will ask US to let them list our project''. There is no actual marketing except decent graphics and pretending that something is still happening in that area: worthless ''mentions'', pointless attempts to list DO for free on low tier exchanges that usually ends with few dozen votes vs hundreds coming from more consolidated community-wise projects, calling ''community'' to action. Problem is, community is dead, it is handful of people and devs right now, compared to early days when this coin had MASSIVE marketing thanks to signature campaign. Given how things are, I doubt segwit will change things for better,

Guys, do you think there are any chances for this Onion coin to see the price tag of $ 1 in the near future? Are there any events that could favorably affect the price? Should I buy this coin now?
Don't even think about it until they return to KuCoin or take DO to any decent exchange, besides staff made it clear: this is not investment project.

Rally without any good exchange? Onion was delisted from one decent exchange (Kucoin) and now dont have any good exchange! We need at least one good decent exchange!
Don't expect it any soon, if at all - we are talking people that for months now didn't update exchange list where DO is available ( https://frontend.coindeal.com/market/ONION-BTC/). CoinDeal got rid out of Onion and it is still listed as first(!) exchange where Onion is supposedly traded: https://deeponion.org/own-onion.html Not to mention they lost their ONLY decent exchange because nobody cared to answer KuCoin attempt to reach them lol. Ingenious, 100% professional, trust the team, stonks guaranteed. Meanwhile, KuCoin keeps listing absolutely horrendous scamcoins like THEKEY (TKY). Tells you enough about DeepOnion management quality.

You guys really dodged a bullet there.
More like bullet reached its target. You are not supposed to hold load of your assets on exchange to begin with, if people do that and they get burned, it's their problem. Losing KuCoin, the only major exchange made onion drop from 0.20$ to 0.09$ price range. For individual people who held lots of coins there, sure, they potentially saved their coins, alas onion would rather not be targeted as it had low volume. But for the majority of the people who got this coin, it was horrible blunder that team allowed onion to be delisted.

|
|
Given KuCoin won't collapse and will continue to work, security breach and over 150million stolen in coins is great argument to negotiate Onion getting listed again and, if they ask for a fee, significantly reduce it or avoid it at all. The Team should not let this opportunity go to waste.

Any news regarding return to KuCoin?

Verify this image with DeepVaultOnline.com using this address: DoB66x5MwSuGXpiDvPnixf7gDUpyhQLx3C This attitude while the project is dying is the reason why the devs are so adamant to remain anonymous - investors would potentially threaten their lifes after being cheated like that if they knew names responsible for this utter, shameless sham. This thread should have been purged months ago to prevent people from being deceived and those in charge of this topic banned as participants in organized fraud.

Only thing that picture tells us is that you were in contact with KuCoin at some point, but whether it is main channel of communication/the one KuCoin used to reach out to the devs remains unknow. We don't know how exactly communication between the devs and KuCoin looked like. The way it looks makes me think devs had more than one way of communication with KuCoin, KuCoin used one of those channels that was being neglected at the time by the devs and you know rest of the story.
So yeah, either KuCoin fucked up, lies or DeepOnion devs lie or screwed up.
|
|
|
The development team has been in contact with Kucoin all the time
You mean KuCoin had their full attention AFTER they learned about delisting, not before when they tried to contact them. Unless you are trying to tell that KuCoin did not in fact tried to contact the devs and just made up excuse to delist them/tried but used wrong method of contact.

People who bought into this project were bogged, plain and simple. If by miracle this coin recovers price-wise so that you can at least get back most of ''investment'' or even all of it, sell and never look behind.
Instead of solid marketing and new features you get memes and incompetence (delisting due to ignoring KuCoin attempt to contact the devs gotta be cherry on the top).

Tor guys were already contacted at some point and told DeepOnion to fuck off. Why would they change mind now?
|
|
|
DeepOnion is so popular name these days that when community members reach out to potential partners, they ban them. Those who put their money into this project can only hope price will rise when bullrun starts, so they can recover at least portion of their investment. And if that happens, better be quick, since volume is so low that only few will manage to sell in time.
