Looking to offload my last watercooled card, an XFX HD 7990 GPU. Pics (gallery of some images, let me know if you'd like more) https://imgur.com/gallery/0tsOJI also have the original fan for it if you'd like, (+$25) PM or reply with offers! Previously used for gaming mostly, mining secondary as it was in my main work machine, so it didn't get much mining action. Not overclocked, comes standard. Runs about 53 at full load with a 240mm rad setup.

The project has become near the end of the "final version"
When it becomes final release will be a high price
LOL, please explain why you think that? Dont be miss lead the project is far from over. Far from complete - stay up to date with the weekly updates here: https://v.cash/forum/threads/weekly-updates.366/page-2#post-7543

I assume the dev is long gone already lol. What a launch!

PoS percentage 75% per year
This cracks me up I think more than anything else. It's just too bad blocksize isn't 1 billion and total supply isn't like in the trillions or else I'd be all over this.

Yeah so you can mine with the wallet client using your cpu, but how many coins and how frequently can I expect to mine coins using that method. I ask because it uses a lot of cpu usage and honestly Id rather just buy some and earn the interest on them.
Example: This is the laptop I have running when not working: http://www.amazon.com/Asus-Q500A-BHI7T05-Notebook-i7-3632QM-DVD-RW/dp/B00AU8KQ5G (no affiliate link, feel free to click). Older model, older gen CPU. I mine about 150 (3 blocks) per 24 hours. Lucky days, 4-5, unlucky, 1 block a day. I haven't had a day without a block yet but with the hash ramping up it might happen soon!

Sorry, again a very nooby question from me. But yeah, I need to learn and get up the curve. What command I would to insert in the command line, if I want to stop mining? I guess there must be a code that make it happen?
Many thanks in advance!
Richi
"setgenerate false" will stop it. If you want to do less than all cores, you can do "setgenerate true 4" (example 4 cores) in steps of 2..2,4,6,8 and so on.

Hi,
Iīm getting an Visual C++ error, and appcrash if I try more than 2gb RAM
HOdlcoin-qt.exe -gen=1 -minermemory=2 -genproclimit=8
works
HOdlcoin-qt.exe -gen=1 -minermemory=3(4,5,6 and so on) -genproclimit=8
donīt work.
OS is Server 2012 R2 8 Cores with 192GB RAM
Can someone help please?
I don't think you have enough RAM /s 2gb and over in Windows wallet doesn't work - stick with 2 for now until a fix is released

My windows defender is finding the "spursint.a" trojan in the zipped wallet and insta-deleting it after the download. I guess it's just a false positive but can someone confirm?
Most qt wallet packages seem to give me the same message. This is why I always use a VM

I left my machines on all night and got 0 blocks, so I'm sure at this point someone has some pretty massive servers or botnet hitting this coin hard.
Exact same experience here and began mining very early. My guess is dev was waiting with the kind of resources you mention or already has a gpu miner. So greed has killed this one already. Well... After I start mining, it took 1 and a half hour for my first block. 50 minutes later, another one. AMD 8 core FX processor @ 4 GHz. 3 pc - i7 3770 no blocks, i5 3570 1 block, i5 3450 no blocks after 5 hours... Left a pc with FX-8350 on overnight and must be lucky, sitting at 500 hodl. FX-8320 running last eve got 1 block in 5 hours though =\ hashrate is pretty high still, pool would be wonderful.

Right...I only ask because the other machine may or may not be a work laptop..lol.
If you're going to hodl coins for a year, you should have the wallet backed up to at least 2 different thumb drives. Then you can spend them from any computer. but if you're hodling them for the sake of the 4500% interest and put them in a 365 day term deposit there is no way to spend them until they reach maturation, which is 204,765 blocks. Yeah I just put 100 in for 365 days...guess I'm longing on HODL haha. Nowhere to see in GUI what you have in Term Deposits though it doesn't seem. That would be nice to see..what you have, then what it will be after X blocks/days.
|
|
|
It would be the same total whether you put 50 coins in term deposit on each computer, or send 50 to the other computer and deposit 100. Same thing.
But the time code is blocks, not days. If you send 10.1089 it will only lock the coins for 10 blocks x 154 seconds. There is no bonus for term deposits unless you go over 1 week, 1 month, or 1 year. A term deposit for less than 1 week would give the same interest as just leaving the coins in your wallet.
Right...I only ask because the other machine may or may not be a work laptop..lol.

Can you clarify what happens after 30 days? If a user can't send coins to himself and start the 30 days over again, does that mean people won't get interest on coins they buy from other people?
Also, does the term APR decrease gradually, or every 16830 blocks?
I have 2 machines mining - both with 1 block each (yay!!). If i send 1 to the other computer, can I then deposit 100 for a term of a 1 year? Or do I have to mine it, then deposit that block right away?

How do I start mining within the windows qt wallet?
Boot it up, go to Help -> Debug Window -> "Console" tab In the console, type "setgenerate true" (no quotes obviously), and it will start mining. Only way to tell if it's mining is to look at your CPU performance..if it's at 100% and your RAM is 1gb less..then it's mining :p
|
|
|
Its built into the QT windows wallet Only setgenerate true? correct, setgenerate true in console tab for debug window

Watching! Love me some CPU-coins.
