1  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] BTCINVEST - Low risk investment fund | Market cap: 2000+ BTC on: November 18, 2013, 07:53:50 AM
I am feeling scammed too. I had an email reply before the "hack" was outed, saying that my shares had been credited on Coinlenders and that some BTC was credited. But I can't log-in to Coinlenders (it gives me a password error) and he will not give me any help resetting a password, so I've never logged into Coinlenders. Anyone have a suggestion for how to get access, or gain his attention?
2  Economy / Lending / Re: CoinLenders Script :: Bitcoin Bank (Borrow+Deposit) Software :: Demo Available on: November 07, 2013, 09:47:51 AM
TradeFortress is understandably busy so I post here in hopes that one of you can help me out: how can I reset my password on CoinLenders? I only made an account because of BTCINVEST forced divesting, and the website reports an error with my correct password, likely due to me using some special characters (funny that it let me choose this password in the first place). I can't find a reset password page, any suggestions?
3  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER Speculation Thread on: July 08, 2013, 10:48:19 AM
Let's get this pony back on track with SPECULATION!

Someone give me a really good pseudo-economics reasoning (the more farcical the better) as to why we are experiencing a slight rally in the value of AM shares? Bonus points if your answer involves the rally in the price of BTC vs. fiat of the past few days.
4  Other / Meta / Ira H. Fuchs - WAS Re: ASICMINER on: July 08, 2013, 04:10:47 AM

good afternoon, The Bitfountain team over at CUNY i'm familiar with, they handle lots of our marketing analytics and mobile networking issues. Where are you drawing this connection? I'm thinking someone must have given you the wrong information. I suggest you look into this right away...Ira

I normally wouldn't quote this drivel so people who have him ignored wouldn't have to read it, but this one was so absurd I started laughing.

Enjoy.

This is amazing, thank you for sharing. Bitfountain at CUNY? They do Marketing Analytics AND Mobile Networking? Beautiful

I'm all for a light-handed approach to moderating and administrating a forum but come on. This moron is now impersonating a real public figure (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ira_Fuchs) and his account and posts should be removed. Imagine if someone researching the real Ira Fuchs came across his drivel? It's fucking defamation.

Ok, Google must be getting the time conversion wrong - currently says that the time is MST 7:30pm but Bitfunder shows the shares selling an hour and a half ago. Thank you.

Hmm... last report TradeFortress said he did some ASICMINER trading to make some nice profits for shareholders. I wonder if he sold his Bitfunder shares at 5 and rebought for cheaper this week. Glad I sold some and bought BTCINVEST with the proceeds.

I sold some AM on the way up, at around 4.5 and bought BTCINVEST with the same idea in mind. Now I'm waiting for TradeFortress' next update like a kid on xmas...

8  Economy / Securities / Re: The coming flash crash in AMC on: June 30, 2013, 02:58:39 AM
I will say however that I have a sneaking suspicion that VBS and Lewiki are both part of AMC and not 'normal' share holders.

I think they an a few others that frequent the AMC thread and the various freenode IRC channels started out as unlucky kids falling for Ken's scams, but as more and more people showed them the scam they transformed into monsters. Now they're soulless husks who truly believe AMC is the second coming, and they think acting like everything is nice and dandy will attract the new money they desperately need to pump their share price up.

Besides, they wouldn't be so obvious if they were part of AMC.

I see recently you've been offering new shares for 0.24 - if I'm looking to invest for 20 or so shares, should I be buying the shares on BF for 0.26 or expecting a new offering soon?

What does RentalStarter have to do with AMC (or kslaughter), exactly?
11  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] [TAT.VIRTUALMINE] Virtual Mining - Hash Without Hardware! on: June 26, 2013, 11:57:49 PM
I am still trying to figure out why this is bad or good..   I mean I could buy like 900 shares today and earn $2 per day for the dividend...

Is the real risk that the price per share is too high???   (they are low now compared to what they IPO'ed for???

Will the Dividend go down or will more supporting shares  be purchased to keep the Div up as Diff increases??

To me the Div payout seems really good compared to most other stocks I have been researching on bitfunder???

Currently a BTC-for-BTC investment in this stock pays more dividend than AM shares. As mentioned previously in this thread, however, the dividend for this share is inversely proportional to current difficulty as the share represents a constant hashing rate. If you do the figures, the current share price of ~0.004 will be paid for with dividends in less than a year (do the maths yourself, as every investor should! an excel spread sheet will suffice) if you assume a fortnightly difficulty increase of no more than 10%. Recent times have seen difficulty jumps of much more than this, say 20%, and people have become scared that this will continue - hence all the furor in this forums about mining bonds being "scams".

Simply put - at the IPO price of 0.007 these shares are almost certain to never pay the investor back. At the current prices, and assuming difficulty stops jumping by 20% every two weeks, the dividends of these shares are quite nice. Buying all shares is a gamble, the gamble you're making for VIRTUALMINE is that the difficulty CANNOT sustain 20% increases.
12  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Asset Exchange Marketplace + Rewritable Options Trading on: May 28, 2013, 12:22:12 AM

I've pressured Ukyo repeatedly to allow on-site accounts for Bitfunder. I think he's cracking, but I can't be sure Wink

What is his reasoning for keeping the integration with Weexchange?

It's more secure.

It also allows Bitfunder to operate separately from the bitcoind wallet application, making BitFunder very fast at orders & balances.

In these times of wholesale hacking, i welcome the fact that my Bitfunder account cannot send out to any address, other than my Weexchange address. Im sure a smart hacker is working on a workaround, but its a welcome layer non the less.

I agree with this - especially seeing as both BitFunder & Weex allow me to use 2-stage authentication. I already had a weex account before using  BitFunder and I found the process really smooth and easy, due in large part to Graet processing all sorts of requests at all hours of day and night Smiley

Added your pool to my round-robin of LTC miners, I'll keep 1-2 MH/s for the next couple weeks, hopefully encourage some more folk to join Smiley

According to the stickies it should be 5 posts + 4h and a script runs every 10min for promotions.

Obviously something of that is not true, as I have +5, and been a member for +7h Tongue

I don't think the system is always consistent - I made my 5th post weeks ago and was quite pleased with myself for becoming "unlocked" - today I log in to find out I'm locked again and my account only lists 4 posts :/
15  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newb help with hardware selection 3 x 7950 on: April 11, 2013, 02:53:10 AM
Two more notes I picked up from the thread I linked:

-the CPU literally only has to be the cheapest to fit your motherboard, it is NOT needed.
-RAM for BTC mining requires 2GB, for LTC mining 8GB (worst case)
-cooling is VERY important, make sure the version of the 7950s you are selecting have HEAPS of cooling (the gigabyte model I selected has three fans) and get some big, high-rate, NON-silent fans into the case
16  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newb help with hardware selection 3 x 7950 on: April 11, 2013, 02:50:25 AM
I am building a rig tomorrow (parts ordered) that will have 3x 7950s. I suggest reading through this thread as another newbie got a lot of help from a forum member: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=171081.0

The most important note is that the LAN BOX cannot fit three cards without modifying the case. The thread also contains good info about selecting a motherboard, cpu, etc that will cheaply yet successfully house the three cards. All up my rig is going to cost me AUD$1800 (roughly USD$1900). As a last note, I think that PSU is overkill for system + 3 x 7950, you need around 800W (200 per card, 200 for system worst case scenario).

Here is my rig as the order stands now.

Order Details
1       D-Link DWA-125 Wireless Lan 150 USB Adapter
1       Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit OEM
1       Kingston 8G(2x4G) DDR3 1600MHz CL9 HyperX

17  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why do I only mine at 3.3 Mhash/s on: April 11, 2013, 02:00:57 AM
This is actually slightly higher hash rate than I have seen quoted for your card here: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mining_hardware_comparison

This is low due to two reasons:
1) The GPU is the most important part of your system for hashing, CPU doesn't so much
2) nVidia cards are not as fast as ATI cards due to the differences in architecture
18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: please help a newbie out.... on: April 11, 2013, 01:51:06 AM
Hi there,

While I don't have an answer for you, my suggestion for where to start looking is for "flags" to use for your card. I don't know what the flags mean, but at least on my ATI card GUIMiner would have a very low hash rate (only a few MH/s) until I added flags like "-w 128" among others. Try to find a good guide about which flags to use for your card and see if it might help.

All the best!

EDIT: Just realised your "d,9" you mentioned is probably the flags - perhaps the two cards,  because of being nVidia vs ATI, need different flags to work efficiently?
