more reasonable question: if north korea nukes america tomorrow, it will not wipe out the internet, but it might cause some serious havock.  how will Bitcoin respond?

Its hard to say whether or not this is a bubble yet - yes it has all the classic symptoms but Bitcoin is a new breed of currency, and we've never seen a valuation process like this.  Bitcoin could be the correction our global economic markets have needed for years but haven't gotten because of manipulation.  Of course its perhaps mostly driven by speculation and people trying to get rich right now, but I imagine there is enormous support at say the $100 level if not significantly higher ... who knows, the support might even lie at the $1000 level ... only time will tell.

meanwhile, I better get me some ppcoins ... PoS seems pretty cool, but I don't fully get it yet.

self organization for the win ... what more can I say? the kind of magic that goes on underneath the muck that these threads are drenched in is truly, well, magical.

glad to be on board.
