I like the idea of POS, it also has more financial benefit for a wider group of people. POW is expensive in most cases, especially now.
Don't get me wrong, I think they are both amazing in their own right, but for me personally, Proof of Stake makes more sense.

Just bumping regarding the private keys.

I import a private key that is attached to the bitcoin address that has some coin in it

but when I import it into electrum, the private key has a different address attached to it, and has no funds in it.

Any ideas?

Thekool1s: I dont get it haha. so if I deposited 1 BTC to address 00111111111 and I had the private key for that address, then I should be able to move those funds even without the seed or 2fa?
I have tried that with a key I have, but it does not let me?

Sorry if this has been covered already, I have read a few posts.

As the title suggests, I have for some stupid stupid reason, not printed out my Electrum seed and then have also lost the data on my phone including Google Auth, and I am pretty sure there is no way to get that back, no backups (android)

When I first got the wallet, I did export the private keys, I thought that this was the same as most other blockchains and that it would backup my wallet in case I lost other info.

So what the hell is the use of exporting private keys if they are actually not keys to anything?

I still have Electrum open on my macbook and can see my coins in the app, is there absolutly no way I can recover this account using the wallet file or some other way??

Please guys, shed some good luck on me haha.

I just thought because the tokens were sent to my address, that they were just like any other transferable token.. but they must have something coded that does not let you move them to another address right away?
So are they not the "actual tokens?" but more of a placeholder for them?

So I got into the Status ICO, the tokens are now in my account, but I can't seem to see them in myetherwallet.
I can see them in Parity but when I try to transfer some to another eth account, parity just seems to say it will throw an exception so nothing seems to work?

are they not able to transfer from wallet to wallet yet?

Also on MEW, does anyone know the custom token details so it can be viewed on there?

Anyone else having an issue with BCAP not showing up on Jaxx?
On Ethercan, it shows that they are in the address, it even said payment received on Jaxx, but nothing showing up.. on any device? maybe just a UI issue?

This fucking scam of an ICO have still not transferred my tokens while I watch as this drops into oblivion. Honestly, and assholes were knocking me down because I wanted to be out yesterday are now selling because they can see whats going on here. thieves

No real information, no updates, a withdrawal process that is the ONLY one that requires manual checks to see if they are valid. and even with that, it takes 2 business days? pfft. bull shit, that is ridiculous and you know it.
