1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Excpected Vega hashrate on: June 17, 2017, 03:19:50 PM
With the abnormally high price of the Vega, will it even compete with other cards in terms of mining. It costs like 6 times as much as the RX4xx-5XX and I doubt it will even have twice as much megahashes on Ethereum. And what about on zchash and other coins since eth is going pos soon. Is it even still worth waiting for?

Thanks

Hello,

from what we know the situation will improve in 2-3 weeks.

cReepas

Source? What region will have stock?
In my country there is a rumor that some rich asshole dude bought of hundreds of pieces from the supplier directly and RX570/580 only reached the resellers shelves for about few weeks.
So I am no longer hoping since it will just happen again and us normal people will have no chance.

Living in Malaysia here so not as many serious miners as in other countries so I doubt I will have the same issue as you. How often and when do you reckon it will restock

Glad to hear that. What's your source/makes you say that? I was so disappointed when I finally got into mining just to find out that every good GPU is out of stock. I know it's selfish because if there was infinite stock for every good GPU the difficulty would go through the roof but I have been looking into mining for months but only recently got seriously about looking to build a rig.

Thanks!
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / GPU restock? on: June 08, 2017, 06:12:37 AM
Hey everyone. I have been interested in mining for the past few months but have only recently gotten serious about starting with it. When I looked for good GPU's for mining Ethereum I noticed they were out of took almost worldwide. RX 470's are selling secondhand for like 400 dollars Undecided Even the alternatives like 5XX series is out of stock. Any ideas when all the mining GPU's will be back in stock.
Or is it not worth the wait and am I better off just buying Nvidia cards and mining other crypto?

Thanks in advance
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Motherboard for ETH mining on: June 07, 2017, 01:23:57 AM
Hey everyone. What is your recommendation for the best, cost effective motherboard that can support up to 6 AMD GPU's? I already searched google but could not find any recent definitive answers and would love to know what you guys think. Thanks!

This is a very vague question to ask. If you want to learn about mining there are tones or resources online. This site isn't for finding a mentor to walk you through everything. It's to ask specific questions. Please post with as much detail as you can next time : )

If you don't pay for electricity I would strongly recommend buying GPU's and mining with those for maximum profitability however you could try out monero or very low cap or new coins and hope for them to rise.

Hello, everyone!

I discovered cryptocurrencies for myself just recently, so I'm a little late for the party  Cheesy
Anyways, I am interested in mining cryptocurrency, but I am not sure which cryptocurrency has the highest return in usd.
Also, which hardware would provide the highest return on investment?

I have read a few threads over here, but I couldn't find all the answers to my questions.
I realize that cryptocurrencies are very volatile, which means that my return on investment will change as the time goes on.
Mining bitcoin does not seem the best option to me, but I may be wrong. I would like to hear your opinion on which cryptos are best to mine now, and which of them are expected to rise.

Any tips for a newbie miner are apprecited!

P.S. My electricity rate is about $0.018. I think it's a pretty good rate to mine cryptocurrency  Smiley

It really depends on how much of an initial investment you want to make but right now Ethereum is probably the way to go even though it will be probably be implementing proof of stake late this year. I would reccomend  mining Bitcoin. As for what crypto is expected to rise, you can mine Ethereum for the highest profit and trade it for other coins that are more likely to go up. Hope I was of some help to you : )
