2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2025/2026 on: September 20, 2025, 05:02:17 PM

The match between Chelsea and Manchester United is always very tough, even tougher than the Manchester derby and both teams would want to win due to the strong rivalry between the two teams, but with the early red card given to Sanchez, Manchester United now have all the chance to dominate and win.

The pressure is currently on Chelsea and theyve given out many corner kicks to United if only they were a team that's good at converting their chances Manchester United would scored an early goal, it would be so shameful if they don't score any goal in the first half cause they have more advantage currently.
United is on fire as they have taken the lead with an early goal from Bruno Fernandez with a good finish. The goal was reviewed by VAR before it was finally awarded on the 15th minutes to make the scoreline 1-0. It's twenty minutes and Chelsea hasn't reach United post so far.

This is a good opportunity for Amorim to take all three points and keep his name away from more critics.
Manchester United played very well and had a great chance to win this match, as Chelsea were reduced to 10 men in the fifth minute after Robert Sanchez was sent off for a foul. Manchester United should have capitalized on this opportunity to win the match.
And if Amorim couldn't capitalize on this opportunity, it would have been a major disaster and certainly threatened him, and I hope Manchester United can win this match.
3  Economy / Economics / Re: self control on: September 20, 2025, 11:20:36 AM
sometimes i feel like even with utmost self control you still don’t end up getting rich due to expensive prices and lack of salary in general
Self control, which i would prefer to call discipline is not only what is needed to become rich, but it is an important part of it. However, you must add investing to your discipline and you must invest in the right assets, some people still save money in the bank and they expect to get rich, that is not possible. You save money and then you put them in investments that rise against inflation or maintains their value even in a crisis, BTC and gold are very good examples.
Inflation is rising, and minimum wage still remains the same; there is no way one can survive on salaries.  Saving in this condition will be a near impossible task even if you live extremely modestly.

Seeking other sources of income, like securing a side job or starting a business, would be good options if you want to save. Saving would later be channeled to investments such as real estate,  Bitcoin, or precious stones.
Of course, if inflation rises, salaries will remain the same, making it difficult to cut expenses and limit unnecessary purchases. This won't solve the problem and may be temporary, but it won't help in the long run.
The best way to address this situation is to increase your income by finding a side job or doing something else that can supplement your income so you can still meet basic needs without having to cut back, especially on food. Spending money on non-essential items is inevitable and shouldn't become a habit unless absolutely necessary. And by having a side job, you can increase your income, which you can use to save and invest. This doesn't have to be a large amount and you can do it gradually; even small amounts can add up over time. To cope with inflation and a fixed salary, we need to be independent and smart in dealing with it because no one can help us but ourselves.
4  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing in Bitcoin or physical trading? on: September 20, 2025, 04:40:51 AM
My advice: be a consistent investor before investing. If you're confident in your Bitcoin investment and it's proven profitable, because you're already making a profit, why not consider the long-term implications and compare it to the business you want to build? You should thoroughly research both to avoid making the wrong decision, as it's your right.
It's best to continue investing in Bitcoin until you've generated substantial profits that you can use for your business, or use some of the profits to fund your planned venture. This way, you can do both, which I believe is much better.

6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2025/26 on: September 20, 2025, 01:36:41 AM
In the fifth matchday of the season, Real Madrid, currently top of the table, will face third-placed Espanyol in a crucial match at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. Both teams have started the season well and will certainly be looking for a win, which will make this match even more exciting.
Kylian Mbappé and Vinicius Junior are very dangerous and in top form, and they will strive to continue showing their best abilities in every match. I believe Real Madrid will win this match because Real Madrid always surprises in any situation, even with 10 men, they are still capable of winning matches.
7  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is the probability of Bitcoin reaching its ATH in September? on: September 19, 2025, 06:20:16 PM
I would say it is quite likely because beating the previous all-time high from this level is something Bitcoin can do in a couple of days without it being anything extraordinary. However, as the end of the month approaches and that does not happen, it becomes less likely. I feel the same way about the prediction for the rest of the year. I expect a big rise, but we have reached a point where almost three quarters of the year have passed and it has not happened.
There are still 10 days left until the end of this month, and I also think Bitcoin's price may not reach its record high of $124,000 this month. However, I'm still optimistic that the price could reach $118,000-$119,000 in the next few days.
We can only speculate, but anything can happen because it's difficult to predict Bitcoin's price. And Bitcoin's price still has great potential to rise and surpass its record high, which could happen by the end of the year, with a more reasonable price of $130,000 considering its high of $124,000 and only $7,000 to reach that high, or even higher.

9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2025/26 Season on: September 19, 2025, 05:52:20 PM
Newcastle is a small team were Barcelona is. No matter how prolific Newcastle might be presently Barcelona will always have that edge over them. Seems you don't really know who Barcelona are, the reigning Spanish champions that won the league last season and got to champions league semi finals last season. Newcastle are just a team trying to make name for themselves and it will take them years to get to the level of Barcelona. It was an easy pick for me yesterday when I was placing my bet.

I do not see any reason to call Newcastle a weak team. This Premier League team has been performing quite well in the last few  years. Even  though this team is new to the champions league platform, there is no reason to consider the team as weak. Did newcastle perform poorly in this match? 6 out of 10 shots taken by newcastle were on  target. If the Barcelona defense and goalkeeper had not performed well,  Barcelona would never have been able to get 3 points in this match. Goalkeeper Garcia has a big contribution to Barcelona's victory.
If Barcelona defence and goal keeper didn't perform well you said? Which team has the defence and keeper you just mentioned, is not Barcelona? It's not just about yesterday's match that made me to call Newcastle a small team were Barcelona is. Check the two teams history then you will know the angle am talking from. It's not about shots fired but who won at the end of the day. Big teams always find a way to win matches and Barcelona did that yesterday. Take it or leave it, Newcastle is a small team were Barcelona is.
The Champions League is always very different and will be a prestigious and high-priority competition. Regarding the Newcastle-Barcelona match, I think it was a great match, and I don't think either team is weak. Barcelona's win proves that Barcelona has more experience than Newcastle in the Champions League. However, Newcastle is also not an easy opponent and will make things difficult for the opposing team. Newcastle played with high intensity against Barcelona and, overall, Barcelona dominated the match. And perhaps if the opponent wasn't Newcastle, Barcelona could have scored more goals, but Newcastle's high-intensity play meant Barcelona only managed a narrow score. Conversely, if Newcastle hadn't faced a big team so early in the Champions League, I believe Newcastle would have won the match.

11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: are vices worsen now by social media? on: September 19, 2025, 04:39:09 PM
we know that gambling rates has gone up because of the accessibility of online casinos.
Social media There are positive and negative impacts on users, it all returns to the users themselves, if they use well, of course social media becomes important information for them and vice versa, Likewise in terms of gambling, we understand gambling advertisements on social media such as stars appear at night, if it is considered evil, of course evil and considered good is certainly good.

For me, whatever we see and do it back to ourselves in judging it, of course all that exists in each of them.
Yes, social media can have both negative and positive impacts on its users. On the positive side, users can earn money by creating content, selling products, and so on, including important and useful information.
However, social media can also have negative impacts if users don't fully understand and recognize its downside, namely the abundance of gambling advertisements. And I believe today's social media users are savvy enough to understand that gambling advertisements are bad because they have become commonplace and familiar, unlike in the early days. Perhaps the impacts aren't as severe as they once were, and those who become addicted may have been involved for a long time.
12  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin market situation. on: September 19, 2025, 04:19:12 PM
If they're new to Bitcoin, it's a good idea to learn about its fundamentals, nature, history, and movements from the start. If they truly understand it, they won't be confused or worried about the price of Bitcoin when they have the money and want to buy it.
Bitcoin is a very promising long-term investment because its price will continue to rise over time, and this is what they need to know. So, if you or they have the money to buy Bitcoin now, I recommend doing so and holding it for the long term. You can also accumulate by using the DCA method throughout your investment journey, buying periodically when you have money weekly, monthly, or when you have income to add to your Bitcoin holdings. Your Bitcoin holdings will grow significantly over the long term and generate substantial profits in the future.

15  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don't feel desperate if you buy Bitcoin at peak on: September 18, 2025, 06:17:55 PM
If you know the Bitcoin price will continue to rise in the long term, I don't think buying at the highest price is a problem, because Bitcoin's peaks are limitless, and there will always be another peak if you hold it long-term.
Buying Bitcoin at any price when you have the money is a good choice, even if the price is at its peak. Waiting and waiting for the price to drop is a mistake because Bitcoin is unpredictable, and there's no guarantee your money will remain intact or decrease. Your money can easily be lost if you don't buy when you have the money. So, never be afraid or regret buying at the peak, because as long as you have strong conviction and patience, you will reach the next peak, or even higher.

17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not judge the book by its cover on: September 18, 2025, 03:44:59 PM
And what I've noticed when discussing the topic of "don't judge a book by its cover" is that most wealthy people actually wear simple clothes, shorts, and t-shirts, but they drive cars. So, nowadays, there's no guarantee of appearance, because most wealthy people look simple, while poor or ordinary people look rich because their appearance doesn't match the reality.

And if Bitcoin is meant for everyone, that's true. Because Bitcoin is freedom, and anyone can have it if they have the desire and effort to do so. Perhaps what sets them apart is the amount they own compared to the wealthy, but that will benefit those who own it. So, I don't think it has anything to do with appearance.
18  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Hit a New All-Time High Before the 2028 Halving? on: September 18, 2025, 03:18:47 PM
Bitcoin's price still has the potential to surpass its current all-time high of $124,000, and many predict it will reach a new all-time high by the end of 2025. We still have about three months left to see if Bitcoin will reach a new all-time high. However, I remain very optimistic that Bitcoin will reach $130,000 in the near future, as it only needs to surge $7,000 from its current all-time high to reach that price, which I believe will happen soon, perhaps by the end of this month, and reach $150,000 by the end of the year. 19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your funniest gambling story? on: September 18, 2025, 01:53:07 PM
I have not had such kind of story like op shared with the kid. I try to keep kids away from what they don't need to know. As the risk didn't burn you because of the amount but sometimes it could be a disaster.

So mine was mistaking a team for another team and betting wrongly. I lost the bet while the team I wanted to bet won. I didn't feel good for the next 24 hours.
Well, I don't have any funny stories like the ones I mentioned at the beginning, because I keep my gambling a secret from my kids. I usually only play slots in the middle of the night when everyone is asleep, and only play a few dollars before bed.

But I do have a story that might not be so funny, but it does bring me luck. I was playing slots, and when my balance kept dropping, I tried pressing the slot button with my pet cat's paw once, but it didn't work. But the second time, I got lucky and got 3 skaters, which resulted in 20 free spins and a win that doubled my initial bet. And strangely enough, when I tried again a few times the next day, the luck brought by my pet cat's paw didn't work again.
