I'm Lisk supporter from the begging and I would you say what I think about groups like GDT and Elite. The current DPoS implementation is conducive to the formation of such groups, it's true and you have to deal with it.
If you will act as delegate there is three ways currently: be pool, get votes from Max or Oliver (their and foundation hold around 12mln LSK) or join alliance.
And to be honest I have nothing against formatting aliances like GDT or Elite, only think what I care it's safety and decentralization of the network.
If you check GDT profiles you will know that this they are "real" pepole from diffrent countrie's. But at last day I start track Elite history and it's looks like
alliance wealthy whales who will have few delegates in top. Examples:
Bigfisher and liskjp - if you check their history you will know that their always co-operate together, and also collect together votes
xujian and will - also act always together. I found xujian is ARK investor so propably is "real" person, but will? Seems like his double delegate
Last time I also saw that new delegates grow from nowhere, intresting hm? Their register an acoount and bum! new Elite memeber! Examples: "hong", "panda", "kaystar", "jiandan", "threelittlepig" etc. They are new account's!
So my theory is that rich group has bought more lisk's on last big dump's, nothing wrong with them. But I'm AGAINST their plan's to get 2 or even more delegates in the top from 1 person! It's not in Lisk safety and decentralization intrest...
Also I think that their distribution plan is stupid and scam:
2. Every member of Elite must share 25% of his/her forging reward to his/her Voters every week;
3. Every member of Elite must donate 5% forging reward LISK foundation;
2. Seems nice, honest distribution you say? Check who will earn from this - the big wallet's like
liskjp_260k ,
badman_voter or
bigfisher_330k and all other elitte wallet's. There is example:

So if you decide to vote Elite group consider do you really wanna let this 50 delegate spots to no-names rich whales who contribute nothing? Yesterday I observed example of this double delegates and how will network work's if they reach 50 delegates in top:
Luxiang and mac was "red" few hour's, Luxiang and mac are in Elite, Luxiang and mac recover their node in the same time
Magic?
I'm not GDT supporter, but if I have to choose from group of acitive and contributing in diffrent ways GDT alliance and whales Elite I choose gdt..
Ending this post I hope that DPoS algorithm will be changed, current implentation support alliance's and big whales instead promoting active people from marketing or programmers. Thanks for your time and welcome to discussion
