1  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Any project ideas for these crypto related domains? on: December 09, 2017, 05:35:25 AM
You could possibly do;

  • crypto.cafe
  • cryptocurrency.cafe
  • cryptocoin.cafe
  • cryptocoins.cafe

Just some ideas.  Also, I just started to make my own website about bitcoins, altcoins, cryptocurrencies, and more.  Maybe we could collaborate, and work together!  Just let me know what you think!  And I hope you like the suggestions!  Cheesy
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Civic: What Do You Think? on: September 23, 2017, 01:55:26 AM
CIVIC

If you haven't heard of it yet, you better get on it quick!  It solves ID verification problems and the creator knows exactly what he's doing.  He also is intentionally trying to be the first to reach critical mass according to Metcalfe's Law.  And not to mention, his ICO sold out before it even started, within minutes.  I promise this isn't just a bunch of hype.  Go research it yourself and see.  You should download the app too, there's nothing like it.  Oh and last point,  is that this product solves a huge need especially after the notorious Equifax hack.  Vinny's (Creator) app and coin will be something we will all look back on!

But I want to and would love to hear what all of you guys think of it, and your opinions.   Even if the Civic coin doesn't do well I think what the app alone offers is revolutionary.  Although if the app does good and gets adopted by everyone, the coin can't help to gain value.  But anyway, let me know.  I'd love to hear!

Thank You!

4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Need Help In Understanding The Significance Of Market Cap & Volume(24hr) & More on: June 27, 2017, 12:23:10 AM
these are all Data that you have access to and you have to process this Data to reach a conclusion.
the market cap as others mentioned and i also agree about is useless.

the rest however are good and can be very useful.

i like to consider all the other factors all together, never alone. price, volume, changes of these two in the past 24 hours or couple of days, circulating supply, total supply,

circulating supply is the number of coins that has been released to public. it can be token distribution or from mining reward. and this is useful for the famous rule of Supply and Demand. the demand of altcoins is nearly non existent so it is only supply that controls things most of the time. and the more supply a coin has the less its price will be. (example: Doge coin)

the my favorite combination: price and volume.
whenever there is a pump going on or is going to happen soon, the volume is the first thing that starts showing signs. it goes up. then price follows and then these two will be so much bigger than previous days indicating a pump is happening if both are up.
the usage is that you can notice this and jump in and make easy and quick profit instead of holding an altcoin for months hoping it goes up and doesn't drop and wreck you!

Beautifully explained and great information!  Grin Exactly what I was looking for!  And thank you to everyone that replied and further helped me understand and helped me add just one more nugget of valuable information that just further contributes and grows my knowledge and understanding as a whole! I appreciate it! Shocked Wink

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / E-Coin (ECC) - Worth Investing In Or Not? on: June 24, 2017, 01:54:17 PM
Hi Everybody!

I'm wondering what information you guys have or what you guys would think about investing in E-Coin (ECC) as a long term investment, a year or more.  And not that much of an investment, probably round $100 to $250?  And if you have any other suggestions or thoughts I'd love to hear!

Thank You!

Hey Everybody,

I have heard more and more about this coin lately (E-Coin, ECC).  I was just wondering if it is worth investing in or not.  And it would most likely be a long term investment.  And nothing crazy just $100 or $200 or so.  Or if you have a better suggestion, I would love to hear.

Thanks!
8  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Windows Desktop Bitcoin Lending Bot for Poloniex on: June 21, 2017, 10:56:35 AM

I had exactly the same effect. I installed, started, and was running. Closed it, restarted, no wallet file .....
So I reinstalled it from scratch, never had a problem since...

....waiting for a next release ;-)

Okay, I will try this first before bugging barcodeguy and having him make me a new wallet file.  Hope this works fingers crossed! Smiley

Hey barcodeguy!

First off this is an awesome bot and thank you so much for your time and effort in making this and sharing it with everyone.

I'm having a bit of a problem,  I downloaded and installed Pololen, created an API key, and since I didn't have any funds in my account I just ran it to see how it works, and everything seemed fine.  And I messed around with the deviation numbers a bit too.  So I then deposited some BTC into my account as I was excited to try this bot out.  And all this time the bot was running by the way.  After I see my funds in my exchange wallet, it got automatically switched to lending since I had that option activated in the bot, and it transferred there fine.  After a while, I still didn't see where it says "Credits" get updated and it just sat a 0.  So I closed out of the bot, and was planning to restart it hoping that my credits would show in the bot when I restarted it.  But when I clicked the application I am now getting a pop up message saying "Missing Wallet File.  Terminating Application.  Your registration code is: NOT REGISTERED please use it in any correspondence with BarcodeGuy.  It will be copied to your clipboard when you hit OK"

If you could help me get this fixed so I can get your awesome bot working I would greatly appreciate it!  Thanks again for everything.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Interested In PIVX. Would Like To Know More Info on: June 18, 2017, 04:46:46 PM
Hi,

I recently have come across a different altcoin called PIVX (Private Instant Verified Transaction(X)).  It definitely piqued my interest, and was wondering if anyone knows anything about it.

I get what it is and mainly used for, at least for the most part.  The main thing I am wondering is what is the outlook in regard to the price of this [Suspicious link removed]d or Bad, and if it would be a good short or long term investment?  Also if you have any other info about it, I'd love to hear!

Thanks!

Haha just a wild guess, but did you happen to hear about this coin listening to Eric and Gary on The Red Eye Radio Show (I think that's the name)?  I wish I would of bought at least a little when I first heard about it Sad  And the sites the others suggested are good ones to get it at if you want to exchange your BTC for it.

13  Economy / Trading Discussion / Need Help In Understanding The Significance Of Market Cap & Volume(24hr) & More on: June 18, 2017, 07:56:09 AM
Hello,

I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out exactly what the market cap of a coin means and it's significance as well as the volume (24hr).  I've googled first trying to find an answer but haven't quite found anything that explains it so I have a good understanding.

More specifically what I'm wondering is what is the significance of the market cap of a specific coin and what's the meaning of it relative to the price of that coin, and if they have any impact or relation to the price?  I'm wondering the same thing about the volume (24h) of a coin as well.  Another aspect that could be thrown into here as well is circulating supply.

Here are some numbers for reference and to work with as examples (Market Values As Of 6/18/2017):

Bitcoin (BTC)
Market Cap: $43,068,820,234
Price: $2626.58
Circulating Supply: 16,397,300 BTC
Volume (24h): $1,425,600,000
% Change (24hr): 2.92%

Ethereum (ETH)
Market Cap: $36,000,361,623
Price: $388.84
Circulating Supply: 92,583,045 ETH
Volume (24h): $949,423,000
% Change (24hr):  3.93%

Ripple (XRP)
Market Cap: $10,318,883,520
Price: $0.269491
Circulating Supply: 38,290,271,363 XRP *
Volume (24h): $111,007,000
% Change (24hr):  2.93%
*Not Mineable

I want to thank anyone in advance for your help and patience with my lack of knowledge even though I've been using BTC for a few years now.  I greatly appreciate it.  Thank you!

14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you a bagholder? Which altcoins do you hold? on: March 21, 2017, 08:34:01 AM
I'm holding just Monero and Ethereum and plan to long term.  As of now Ive made almost 5x my initial investment from just buying early and holding.  But I'm sure the prices will fall back down a bit, so who knows it just might be time to sell a bit of my stash.

Although this is the only ones I hold, there are many I'm interested in such as, Ripple, Bytecoin, Tether, Golem, Edgeless, Waves, Ardor, Augur, Factom, Lisk, Zcash, Potcoin, Nxt, MaidSafeCoin, and maybe a few others.  But I would maybe buy one or two out of that list, but most likely will just stick with what I got.
