Patience folks.  Give the dev team a break.  This thing will fkn rock once it's released.  Remember that the target is Q3 for a release which is PLENTY of time for them to finish with a few rounds of solid testing under their belt.

I for one am glad the price of EQT is down right now.  Just means you get more tokens for your fiat right now.  Cheesy

Is there a specific p2p port to use and peermagic value?  using uNOMP.

i answered your question on github shortly before you posted this, but for future reference/google purposes, you can set whatever p2p port you want in the .conf file, but by default, verge uses 21102 for peer2peer.

(you probably shouldnt be running a pool if you don't know these things though. hopefully it's not for the public)

I appreciate the response on git and I responded.  I do use the default and have tried other defined ports but the issue persists.  I haven't had an issue with any other pool regarding p2p when creating my test environments except XVG so I'm just looking to troubleshoot to see what this specific issue might be.

Just curious but Windows Defender Win10 flags the equitrader-qt.exe with Trojan:Win32/Azden.A!cl for quarantine.  What's this about?  False positive? Google turns up nothing specific.

Fresh install of Win10 Enterprise.  qt downloaded straight from git.  https://github.com/equitrader/Equitrade/blob/master/equitrader-win.zip

Anyone else experience this? Just asking because remember TorCoin client of the past (not the new one)??

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Need help understanding calculations to solve a block on: July 26, 2017, 09:52:24 PM
Hi all,

Noob questions coming up.  I've researched a bit an have seen many different ways to calculate an average expectation of how long it should take to solve a block.  I am currently testing out a UNOMP Litecoin pool and have been wondering how many shares need to be validated on average to solve a block.  Can anyone here be kind enough to help me gain a better understanding utilizing the following stats in a Prop pool?

PoolAlgoWorkersValid SharesInvalid SharesTotal BlocksPendingConfirmedOrphanedHashrate

Thanks in advance!

Thanks kano!

I'm running UNOMP and it looks like all the shares are still there.  Do you know how many shares on average it will take the collective of miners to solve a block?  Is there a specific formula? I've read many different articles on it and it seems like there are slight variations in different folks' explanations.

A link to a correct source would be most helpful if you have one.

Thanks again!
10  Bitcoin / Pools / Can shares be lost? on: July 25, 2017, 08:05:23 PM
Newb question:

I'm testing out a pool I created in a private network and I see the miners have valid shares without a block being solved.  The server had to go down for a few hours for maintenance.  Now that the server is back up, are all of those valid shares lost or will they carryover with the new validated shares and count towards solving a block?

Thanks in advance!
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / UNOMP Clarifications LTC MINING POOL Setup on: July 24, 2017, 07:45:45 PM
Hi All,

I currently am testing a unomp mining pool and have a question on the payout section.  I currently see shares being accepted but when the payout section in the log is generated it is pretty much blank.  Is this correct or am I missing something?  I believe I have things provisioned correctly and I am not in test mode.  Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated!

14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Optimal Operating Temperature L3+ on: June 12, 2017, 10:31:43 PM
I'm curious as to what temperature other folks are running their L3+'s at.  I've read on other posts for other units by @BitMain that keeping these below 63 C should be okay.

Currently, have for each chain more or less Temp PCB I:36 O:53 & Temp Chip I:43 O:59  with the fan speed at 45%.  Thoughts?

The Dash.org mobile wallet for Android has an Exchange Rates link which shows (near) real-time conversion rates against both crypto and fiat which I think is an awesome functionality.  Will NVO wallet have something similar?  It would make this even more attractive if it did.

What are the plans for including a FIAT gateway?  Which fiat currencies will be available? Will this be handled via coinpayments integration?

Hi,

Thank you for your development efforts.  Decentralized Exchange is the future and I hope a viable project comes to fruition soon.  That being said, I am debating on which crowdsale to support.  What makes NVO more attractive than Internet of Coins?
