1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who actually invests in ICO's? on: November 24, 2018, 11:57:55 AM
I know that most of todays traders are here just to make a quick buck, they dont care about the project, or the idea behind the project, they just want "PUUUPM" and "MOOOON". And with all the scam ICO's that we had in the past( my personal favorite BitConneeeeect) people have lost faith in ICO's. But still new ICO's and new ideas are being published every day, I've seen on some projects that i'm following that they reached their soft or hardcap, but what triggers my mind is: Who is investing in those ICO's, what is the one thing that lures the todays investors into investing in a certain project?
The people that want to make money. You might look at it that there surely will not be a lot of people who are investing in icos but that is wrong, there are a lot of people who are investing money into icos and it is not that they do not understand the risks, but it is that they understand that if you are ever going to make money then you have to be willing to take risks
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hold or Sell? on: November 24, 2018, 11:48:11 AM
It is always better to hold coins, you can never tell when the price of the coins are going to go up and if you sell the coins and they end up going up then you are going to have only yourself to blame for that. Also with holding you can be sure that when you are selling you are going to do so at the new all time highs which means more profit
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS is next Ethereum on: November 23, 2018, 05:37:34 PM
A lot of people saying that EOS is going to be next Ethereum

What's your honest opinion? Should we invest or not?

I don't know if it is, i mean it is a good platform but that does not mean that it is going to be the next ethereum and besides all of the coins are unique in their own ways which means that the coins can never be the same. If you are referring to the possibility of eos overtaking ethereum then I would have to disagree cause it will never happen
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which alt coin can I invest? on: November 23, 2018, 05:29:46 PM
After waiting for some months for ico's I invest to come on board but to no avail, i wish to re-strategize on alt coin that are on coinmarketcap.
Please can someone tell me good coins a least five different coins below $1?

You can invest in the top altcoins personally for me the best altcoin to invest in has always been ethereum but since you are looking for cheap coins then I would have to point you in the direction of coins like doge, neo and lindacoin. Those are the coins I know are really cheap right now with a lot of potential so you can make profit
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Monero become next BTC? on: November 22, 2018, 04:10:14 PM
Currently, Monero is the 10th largest coin by market capitalization. Crypto miners are attracted to Monero because it has emerged as the most profitable altcoin in the past few months.

A research firm Satis Group, which forecasts the cryptocurrency market and the fate of individual cryptocurrencies, published a reporting stating that Monero could be worth $18,000 within the next five years. That represents a more than an 18,000% increase from its present value, which stands at just over $106.

From"Monero's price: all you need to know"

How do you think about XMP? Another BTC?
The next btc, no but it will become one of the most valuable coin in the market. If you are looking for the coin that mostly resembles what bitcoin was in the beginning then that coin will have to be monero, with the anonymity that comes with the coin it is no surprise that people are now looking to switch to this privacy coin to keep their transactions more hidden
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How is ETH now? on: November 22, 2018, 04:02:46 PM
Ethereum is suffering along with the other coins, eth is one of the coins that moves so closely with the price of bitcoin so it is not surprise to see that the price of the coin has fallen down so much to this point. With that being said, I think when we start going into another recovery then ethereum will be the coin that starts to go up quickly along with the price of bitcoin
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what are your plan for altcoin on: November 21, 2018, 05:30:21 PM
For me the plan for the altcoin is to wait and sell them when they are at a point where I am actually making money from them, other than that there is nothing else that  I am going to do for the coins. They are following the price of bitcoin now which means that all of my altcoins are down so I guess the best thing now is to just wait out the bear market
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Risk in 2018 on: November 21, 2018, 05:24:20 PM
If you look at the cryptoccurency market situation lately it is very disappointing and even the opinions of observers become divided, some consider this to be common, others consider this situation very dangerous for the development of the crypto world.
The most important question of the condition is whether such market conditions will affect investors, or is this a situation that investors want?

Most of the risks that we are taking when we are investing in cryptocurrencies have already being surpassed in the year, there is still some risks of the coins falling further down so you want to keep that in mind when you are investing in the coins. That way you can be ready for whatever happens after you are done buying the coins. Also you want to keep your wallet safe from hackers
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICOs are a legit or Scam? on: November 21, 2018, 05:16:15 PM
There are different kinds and there are both kinds of them in the market but now it does seem that the number of the scam coins far outweighs the number of the legit coins that we have in the market right now. This calls for a lot of caution when you are investing in the market to make sure that in the long run you are not investing in something that is going to make you lose a lot of money
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I currently have 5 ETH. I should buy an ICO on: November 20, 2018, 06:30:40 PM

I currently have 5 ETH. I should buy an ICO. I need advice from you. please give me a list of trusted ico

I don't know if buying an ico is something that you should be doing right now because of the icos now being useless. You are really better off investing that money into a good coin that you can trust. An already established coin but one which is still cheap like neo would be a better pick for you to spend that eth on so you can be sure you will make money from it
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New Altcoins and purpose on: November 20, 2018, 06:21:37 PM
Most of them have no purpose, most time a small glimpse of the coin tells you this much because you know that the project has nothing to offer that people would actually want to use in a couple of years so they are most likely just going to die out. The only purpose that the coins that are coming out of the market right now have is that they want to make money
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The End of Anonymity and the Start of Tax Hell for Crypto on: November 20, 2018, 06:15:34 PM
Angry Angry Sad Governments are dreaming of removing anonymity from Crypto. They see Crypto as a taxable goldmine and they want to cash in.

Any thoughts? Check the post on Medium on the topic.

Any thoughts?

Not really surprised, I mean did we really think that we were going to get away with not paying taxes on our crypto earnings for a long time? It is also a good thing because if the governments have a way to tax the earnings then they have nothing against making the coins legal for general use which in the long run is a win win for everyone involved
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum just got flipped by Ripple. on: November 18, 2018, 05:51:05 PM
How is this happening going to impact the further development and popularity of Ethereum and Ripple respectively?
Nah ripple is just having something of a temporary run right now, there is no way that the coin will be able to maintain that position with so many coins fighting the coin for that second spot. It might stay there for a little bit but I am sure that ethereum is just going to end up taking back that position without too much effort, ripple is not that good of a coin
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can HTB, Token of Hotbit Exchange Hit 40x? on: November 18, 2018, 05:38:20 PM
That might be a bit of a stretch with the 40x but that being said there is a lot of potential for the coin to grow very high and make a lot of returns since it is an exchange backed coin. Although there is the fact that a lot of people do not trust the exchange so that might end up affecting the price of the coin. This kind of thing needs trust for it to happen
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Celebrity Endorsed Cryptocurrency on: November 17, 2018, 07:28:09 PM
Stox: Floyd Mayweather, Luis Suarez, Liang Tian
Centra: Floyd Mayweather, DJ Khaled
Cobin Hood: Jamie Foxx.
The Game (Rapper): Paragon
Max Keiser: Maxcoin
Paris Hilton: Lydian Coin

Whats your take on celebrity endorsements with the crypto world? Do you think it actually helps? Question is how many fans actually know and care about crypto to actually invest??
Mostly they are just using the celebrities to get more people to invest in their scam coins, they are just going to take off with the money that they get from the investors once they are done, but they know that with the celebrities endorsing the coins, they are going to get more supporters for the coins. It is all a facade to get people to think that it is a good project
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptocurrencies prices decline again, what much do we expect? on: November 17, 2018, 07:14:37 PM
There is nothing more to expect, the price of the coin has been going down for a while and I think that it is because a whale might be selling off some of their coins. Now we can only hold our coins and wait for the demand of the coins to go up before we start to see better prices in the coin. Mostly with cryptocurrencies it is better to just go with the flow
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it good to buy after ICO because price may drop? on: November 17, 2018, 07:09:20 PM
Some bounty hunters who are also investors take time to research into projects and come out with good projects with much capabilities of becoming successful. These type of Bounty hunters cease the opportunity to buy more of that coin at low prices below ICO prices after the ICO and listing on exchange. Most coins get started on the with lower than ICO prices.
I do think that it is always better for you to buy the coins during the ICO as that way you are getting the best prices for the coins that you are investing in and if you are waiting for the coins to be listed on the exchanges there is no guarantee that the price of the coin is going to go up ad you are going to make money from investing in the coin by then.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Strategy on This market on: November 16, 2018, 08:57:32 PM
Do not sell anything at all in a market like this, you are going to end up regretting it, that is always the case, people sell their coins and then when they start to see the market bull, they start to regret selling their coins and if something like that happens to you, then you will have no one to blame but yourself. It is better for you to just hold your coins now in wait for the next bull
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China lifts ban on cryptocurrency on: November 16, 2018, 08:49:46 PM
A good news is back from the most populated and powerful country in the world. China lifts ban on cryptocurrency, individuals and businesses can own crypto now legally. I believe this change will impact on the market value and it may go up now.
I did not know that there was a ban on cryptocurrencies in china, i thought that they only had the ban on icos but I guess I thought wrong, Either way this is good news because there are a lot of investors in china and with the lifting of the ban, it is going to enable even more investors come into the market since they will be more confident in it
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN CASH- WILL IT REPLACE BITCOIN TO BE A KING OF CRYPTO on: November 15, 2018, 05:59:23 PM
Not at all, bitcoin remains the most secure coin of all of the coins and with coins like bitcoin cash, they are just piggybacking off the success of bitcoin, they do not have any real projects of their own, no uniqueness, it's basically like how a copy cat operates. There is no way that bch is going to be able to overtake bitcoin regardless of how well the coin does
