1  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: cant fetch gpg key on: March 28, 2017, 04:14:09 AM
i just realized you guys are still answering my question!

thanks, but as i mentioned in the edit it was just a 503 error which meant MIT servers were down for whatever reason. i tried after a while and it took me a couple of times but i succeeded.

Code:
gpg --keyserver hkp://pgp.mit.edu --recv-keys 7F9470E6
gpg: requesting key 7F9470E6 from hkp server pgp.mit.edu
gpgkeys: key 7F9470E6 can't be retrieved
gpg: no valid OpenPGP data found.
gpg: Total number processed: 0

tried without the -keyserver hkp://pgp.mit.edu first and both of them didn't work.
is there any other way

edit: the link https://pgp.mit.edu/pks/lookup?op=get&search=0x2BD5824B7F9470E6 is a 503 error, their servers are down? lol
