Sure, but most of us are not sitting on piles of cash. I have been trying to find a way to get some bitcoin for a few weeks now, and it is a royal pain in the rear. Open up with dwolla, wait for verification.... transfer from bank,.. wait days... then wait some more. In that time, I have watched bitcoin go from $70 to $250, and now to $130, I think? Maybe it is a good thing that I didn't get any yet :-)

This is what I love about this. Yes, you cannot trust anyone. But it is kinda wild west, no? I mean, the world is so full of over-regulation. It is nice to be dealing in something that is outside of all of that, and we have to use our own common sense. Just a different perspective, but if you make stupid mistakes, you kinda deserve to learn from them, no?

I love reading these posts. Look half-way through any bubble, and it looks like things have gone insane. You just never know where it will pop. A year from now, the hundreds can look the way $30 looks now... or it can look like the top of a radical bubble that burst. It is all a matter of hindsight.
At the end of the day, invest in bitcoin when you can, if you feel comfortable, and IF you can afford it. Like anything else in the world. In my opinion you are neither crazy if you are selling now, or if you are buying now. In both cases, you are making a bet you cannot possibly know the outcome of.

Wrapping my head around Bitcoin and other crypto currencies. The 4 hour rule before being freed from these forums will be no problem with all the content here... Thanks :-)

Very cool. I was wondering why I could't post, and like an idiot didn't check here for about 15 minutes. Slapping myself!
