1  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Digital Currencies being taught in schools on: June 19, 2018, 05:57:21 AM
I think this is great news! Not only does it increase the awareness of crypotcurrencies to those who are yet to get to know them, but it also helps those interested in this field to learn more about it and how to benefit from it. The fact that it has been introduced into the curriculum suggests that it is a permanent addition to society rather than a fad.
2  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why is English so confusing - I think I will keep on musing... on: June 19, 2018, 05:48:37 AM
I think that one of the reasons why English is so confusing is because it contains many words from other languages. The basis of it is made up from germanic, latin and even gaelic roots, but it also features endless foreign words that are either spelled the same as they originally were or have been anglicized. It's definitely one of the tougher languages out there to learn.
3  Economy / Economics / Re: What i believe will come on: June 19, 2018, 05:41:17 AM
I can understand where you are coming from when you say that banks don't have the best interests of people at heart. What you're describing for the future sounds ideal, but I'm not overly confident that we can get there. The main reason is that it's really a minority of people using cryptocurrency, while the majority still trust in and rely on the fiat system. If it does happen, I don't think it will be in our lifetime.

Many thanks to you for providing this link for us. Many who are new to cryptocurrencies are curious about its place in the real physical world, and this information will help them to understand that. I agree that in the future, most if not all countries will come to accept the use of cryptocurrencies over banknotes.

A good way to attract the kind of friends you want is to put yourself out there and make yourself known to them. You can do this by participating in activities or hobbies that your ideal friends would, or frequenting the same kind of places. Start acting like the person you want to attract and see what happens!
6  Economy / Economics / Re: Why we must study Economics at University? on: June 18, 2018, 06:12:34 AM
Economics is a great (though not a crucial) subject to study because it provides the foundation for so many other subjects. It is much easier to understand business, cryptocurrencies, and even seemingly unrelated topics like politics, law and history, if you have an understanding of economics. Plus, it’s interesting without being unnecessarily difficult. They don’t call it the science of common sense for nothing!
7  Economy / Economics / Re: Reason we pay taxes and why we should on: June 18, 2018, 05:49:26 AM
In theory, taxes are necessary to the running of an efficient economy as it’s this income that provides public goods such as infrastructure and government services such as welfare. But I can understand where people are coming from when they make the argument that those things could be done privately too. I just wonder where the incentive to provide those things would come from, or who would want to pay for them, without taxes.
