What's the use of minereum vs artemine?

What's the difference between Artemine and Minereum? Is there still a use for the old one?

Also, are there new coins generated? And only is via the geo-location app thing only?

By now almost 60% has been distributed up till round 9. Does anyone know when the distribution will end?
