1  Other / Off-topic / Re: WHY BREAKFAST IS THE MOST IMPORTANT MEAL OF THE DAY ? on: December 03, 2018, 12:43:33 AM
It jumpstarts your metabolism, plus, it prevents you from binging all day long with poor food choices.
2  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you do when you're stress? on: December 03, 2018, 12:41:32 AM
Exercise is a stress-buster. Doing it outdoors makes it less boring too. You can run, hike, swim etc.
3  Other / Off-topic / Re: Can nanobots cure cancer? on: December 03, 2018, 12:35:05 AM
Yeah, I don't think nanobots can cure cancer, per se. But they will help prevent or diagnose the disease, which I think, is still a medical breakthrough. In a way, these advantages in technology are crucial to the humanity's health and wellbeing in the future. Do you agree?
4  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Would you live in a place that collects your data? on: December 03, 2018, 12:28:32 AM
With our social media profiles, we freely share so much about ourselves already. Does privacy really matter if sharing some of our data, will benefit society as a whole? I think the benefits of living in a smart city outweigh any risks of sharing some data, right?
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we still believe in Bitcoin? on: December 03, 2018, 12:23:17 AM
Yes I truly believe in cryptocurrency. We all know that the basic aim of everyone for participating in any investment market is to earn profits and there is nothing wrong in that. But a person should have some realistic goals. You can invest in something blindly and then expect your money to be doubled in a week. You should research and study properly and take every decision wisely.

The subject to me is a little misleading. I don't know but it suggests a negative implication. You could have just removed the "Do" and the "?".  Wink

Anyway, as to any kind of investment, not just in crypto, there should always be a process of planning and choosing what's best. And that will not be done overnight. It has to be done over and over again. Investment is synonymous to risk-taking.

that is a valid point. Constant research and planning are required in order to able to choose the best crypto. To be honest, bitcoin may have introduced us to the world of crypto, but on paper it is not the best. Some of its weakness are mentioned in this article.

How would you compare bitcoin to let’s say, Virie –which claims to be a virtual marketplace. Its market entries are non-erasable and has zero manipulation and centralization. Privacy and no hacking are even guaranteed. So how can we still say bitcoin is the best?

I’d love to explore the best beaches and islands. Maybe Bora-Bora and Fiji.

7  Other / Off-topic / Re: What are your plans in life before 2018 ends? on: November 27, 2018, 01:23:53 AM
I want to find a new apartment before the year ends.

Visit Bali! The resorts, food and sites are amazing!
9  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why Millennials like Cryptocurrencies on: November 27, 2018, 01:08:03 AM
I think millennials are very open-minded and quite tech-savvy to begin with, so it won't be a hardship for them to learn and embrace the concept of technology. More importantly, they're not afraid of change --and this is something the rest of us should learn. If our future will be digital and we'll become a cashless society, then we should be ready for that, right?
10  Other / Off-topic / Re: what do you think about electric cars? on: November 27, 2018, 01:02:44 AM
I think electric cars are a great idea. It saves on energy, but I still think it could explore better batteries. The Tesla is doing great, right? What I’m excited to see are self-driving cars though. Those would be awesome, right?
11  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would you consider buying Facebook's new AR glasses? on: November 23, 2018, 12:20:40 AM
I’d consider getting a pair. The Google Glass was purely for business, so I’m sure Facebook will add some fun and social features. And regarding privacy issues, we’re still using Facebook, right? I think everyone’s just being paranoid.
12  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will the quest for a Virtual world help us improve the real world? on: November 23, 2018, 12:18:09 AM
I always believe that if human brain can think of it, it can very well make it possible. I mean who thought we will ever come up with something like virtual currency?

Do you think (even if hypothetically), a virtual world will give us a chance to introspect and find the missing links of the real world? By setting up the rules for the new world, will we realize what we did wrong with the real world?

It's not so much as "if you can think it you can make it possible" it's about execution. Immortality doesn't work like that, and it's not even remotely possible. It's not like mining a bitcoin, you're talking a life here. How do you think immortality will be achieved? Because there isn't a technology that can make this possible. Even with a super powerful computer, you still can't be sure it will make you immortal.

That’s why research and studies are being done in order to ensure it works. The technology already exists for it as mentioned in these articles supporting a project which aims to explore virtual eternity.

13  Economy / Speculation / Re: New Exchanges Are Coming? But It is OK? on: November 21, 2018, 12:23:15 AM
Competition can be healthy. While this means we should take more time in researching each potential investment, this competition allows for the development of products with better features. Each exchange will have to stand out in one way or another, right? Have you come across any new exchanges with huge potential? Would love to share thoughts.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your sentiment about ALTS on: November 21, 2018, 12:20:03 AM
well yeah.. the market is unpredictable for sure. But who else here feels confident about ALTS simply because of its strong features and potential? I certainly invest in things I know have unique features. Currently doing research on Virie. Apparently, it’s a distributed exchange network with a very user-friendly cryptocurrency functionality. Plus, it’s the first and only blockchain product which is actually useful and ready to use for anybody. Has anyone else heard about it? What other alts should we look into?
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your Goals in regards to cryptocurrency? on: November 19, 2018, 12:39:44 AM
I’d want a crypto that can serve more than just a digital currency. With all the new altcoins now, I’m seeing more features that are proving to have lots of potential, turning the crypto into a whole new financial system. I think this is the reason why I’m currently very intrigued by Virie. It boasts of a blockchain-based virtual marketplace complete with escrow system that comes with a cryptocurrency feature. They say, this will make exchanges seamless and secure, especially with its user-friendly interface. This could totally revolutionize our financial landscape and it could be perfect for ecommerce, in my opinion.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as an example of true democracy ? on: November 19, 2018, 12:34:12 AM
I know what you mean about linking bitcoin with democracy. I mean, using a decentralized system will certainly give society the power over their money and assets. Technically speaking, the creation and use of a virtual currency will distribute and devolve most of the controlling mechanisms of the traditional financial system, thus giving us freedom and control. But democracy will still need leadership, correct? Perhaps we will need some level of regulation or acceptance from the government?
17  Other / Off-topic / Re: Future technologies on: November 15, 2018, 12:14:43 AM
Future technologies list
Self-Driving Cars.
Clean Energy.
Virtual and Augmented Reality.
Drones and Flying Cars

I'll add Blockchain, robotic parts, and some sort of brain interface to your list. I think all of these will make remarkable contributions in the near future. I mean, Elon Musk thinks so too. Hve you guys heard of his Neuralink project? Musk says one could eventually be superhuman by connecting the brain to a computer. Just wow, right?
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin be the currency of our future? on: November 15, 2018, 12:06:40 AM
It’s tough to say when there are so many altcoins popping up, especially when new features are included. Have any of you heard of Virie? It’s a new crypto that seams to function as more than just a digital currency. It features a virtual marketplace, an escrow system and basically a whole new system and network for exchanges. It's interface looks user-friendly too. With new cryptos such as this, we really can't tell if bitcoin can remain on top forever. We'll eventually prefer a crypto that can fulfill our needs and more, right?
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does it even matter if governments and banks accept cryptocurrency? on: November 14, 2018, 12:05:04 AM
Yes, it is important to have universal acceptance. Governments and banks are institutions that society depends on. Trust is the foundation of any currency, don’t you think? With acceptance from the government and banks, people will be more confident in using digital currencies.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the perfect Cryptocurrency? on: November 14, 2018, 12:02:05 AM
In my understanding, the ideal cryptocurrency is that cryptocurrency that is used as fuel for some kind of platform, and also constantly increases in price, albeit slowly but growing.
today this fuel is very poorly evaluated. Almost the entire cryptocurrency market fell and there are no projects that would show the results that they promised during the ico of the company.
There are projects that show good results, such as new exchanges, which are rapidly developing. And indeed, the whole market is now at the stage of development, just capitalization is kept at the same level.

I agree. It’s an exciting time to see lots of new exchanges with huge potential. I mean don’t get me wrong, I’ll always feel nostalgic towards bitcoin as the pioneer of all coins that introduced to me to crypto. But let’s be real –it certainly opened up a whole new world of possibilities and with it, crypto with better, more promising features. Case in point: Virie. More than just a cryptocurrency, it offers a free trade infrastructure that’s perfect for e-commerce. With it’s blockchain based, virtual marketplace and escrow system, transactions are made easier and more secure.
I wouldn’t claim a new crypto as already perfect, but it sure does have the grounds for something quite revolutionary.
