I am still trying to wrap my head around how this is using the CryptoNight blockchain, yet it is something completely different. Can someone in some detail explain the relationship between QRL and CrypoNote?

QRL is the blockchain using PoW (Cryptonight) algorithm. Now since its launching with PoW, you need a mining pool. CryptoNote is the mining pool, I have forked the cryptonote pool and made proper changes, in order to support QRL.

When will mining start?

Mining for mainnet will start as soon as mainnet will get released. Mainnet release date has not been declared yet. So may be need to wait for that patiently.

Hello all.

Please i need advise on how Airdrops works. i noticed that it is trending in crypto Groups and social app platforms.
My plans are to select the best ICOs and invest. i can use the interest to do a turn over.
what do u guys think. Huh Huh Huh ;

Since its airdrop. I will better suggest to go for all coins for airdrops. Even if atleast 1 coin price pumps up, you will have a very good return. Or if you choose coins for which you should join for airdrop and which needs to be ignored, if later any of the coin that has been ignored by you, the price jumps, you will regret. So if its free, go for everyone, so that you don't need to regret.

I am really interested in Quantum Computing so a coin like QRL is rally interesting. It is too bad with all the delays but I am hoping for an upcoming main net launch soon.
I have looked through the Whitepaper a bit and it is really impressive, like a thesis work.

Anyone here have any idea on what the fees are going to be like for the transacitons on the ultra secure Blockchain? I read a bit about the fees in teh Whitepaper but I didn't get an understanding of how much we can expect them to be. The transaction size will need to be larger compared to other ledgers which seems to imply a higher transaction fee since more work needs to be done. Will it be like bitcoin (which is pretty high right now) or will the QRL team be able to have it more like Litecoin? If any Developers (or experienced guessers) in this thread this would be very interesting to know.

While making transaction, user will have the option to decide how much fee, he/she would like to pay for the transaction. On the other hand, stake validators creating the block, will obviously process, the txns having higher fee first. Means people paying higher fee will be given higher priority. Its hard to say the exact value of fee, because it really depends upon the volume of transactions on a given particular time.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Quantum Resistant Ledger Testnet question. on: August 10, 2017, 12:10:37 PM
Since QRL is currently an ETH token and in the Testnet phase, does this mean that any currently held QRL coins will be void once the actual blockchain breaks off, or will this work more like a hardfork?

No. Once the mainnet will be released all the ETH token will be converted to the actual QRL coin. Anyone who is holding QRL's ETH token, will not lose anything. Their token will be considered as valid QRL coin.
