1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CRW] CROWN (SHA256) | NEW UPDATE! | Experimental Commodity | Trons | on: November 07, 2017, 09:32:20 AM
You can think about how successful the project is. I hold the reservations and hope that the project will succeed!

Ofcourse we hope it will succeed but the lack of communications is pretty concerning.

They could at least place an update every 12 hours or so.
Takes about 2 minutes and keeps the people from guessing whats going on.

Updates are done very often in our chat mm.crownlab.eu

Maybe join to stay up to date man  Wink

So, they post on this forum that there is a problem with the new update.
It would be more then reasonable to keep the people posted on progress on that platform.

Its useless to post half the information...

A significant bug in the wallet has been found that affects masternodes.  We will be re issuing the release very soon.

Please notify me through PM when you have the update ready so I can update my explorer..

Will do mate.  Thanks for checking by.

Its not looking like a major problem so won't be long.

Can someone give an update on this bug?

The new wallet is still not available.

....

what could be causing this 'problem'?
5 GB takes a while.

with a 100/100mbit connection that would take like 15min, not 12+ hours and counting.
With P2P, the determining factor is the UL speed of peers, not your DL speed. You can only download information as fast as someone can send it to you; if you could download at the speed of light and you're connected to someone on dial-up, you're still only going to get the information at 56 kbit/s. Wink

i just installed an Ubuntu 16.04 VM on the same machine, this wallet has already passed my Windows machine with syncing in just 10 minutes.
i do understand that if there are no seeds my speed will be reducted. But the test with Linux proves there is no network/p2p bottleneck.

Windows client has 12 connections while the Linux client had 9.

Possibly a problem with the Windows Client?

Where are you located? We've been trying to bring online some more nodes in different regions of the world. There was also an issue in malaysia until recently.

I'm located in the Netherlands.

Hi Guys/Girls,

I just got started with Crown Coins and downloaded the wallet of your site.

But somehow the initial syncing is taking forever, it has been running for 12+ hours and theres still 1 year and 29 weeks left.

My system specs:
OS: Win10 Pro 64Bit
Intel Core i7 6700K (4,5Ghz)
16GB DDR4 Ram
NVMe SSD

Internet Speeds: 100/100 mbit Fiber

what could be causing this 'problem'?

Thanks in advance!
