1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] AGRELLO - Legally-Binding Smart Contracts for all on: June 11, 2017, 04:09:14 PM
Interesting use case but I'm doubtful if that will work across the world due to the different legal enactments.

Like what kind of laws are you saying would act against legal contracts??

The whole point is to use the correct terms that will make them actual legal contracts to begin with!

 :-/

I'm not a lawyer but in order to form binding legal contracts a lot of paperwork in written form has to be done. Written form can be paper or a mail. I find it hard to imagine right now that a smart contract will be accepted as written form in court. At least not now, maybe in five to ten years.

No, you don't need a lot of paperwork.  Look up the basics of what a contract is.

When you click "accept" on any software agreement, you've entered a legal (smart) contract in digital form, that is completely upheld in any court.

Even digital signatures have crossed this threshold already, and various loose forms of ID, like email or IP address (to prove in a court of law that you performed some action, for example).

We're already way beyond what you seem to claim is 5-10 years away.

I think Smart Contracts are getting old because everyone is making them.... What separates your smart contracts from all these others? Please lol

lol is right!  That's like saying "milk is getting old because everyone is selling it".

First, there is not any company that could technically serve the whole world's contract needs (not even a Country) and second,
only a tiny fraction of the population has ever heard of any of them, or even blockchain, smart contract (etc) yet!

AGRELLO

Realizing the Vision of Legally-Binding Smart Contracts on the Blockchain

What is Agrello?

Agrello develops an AI powered interface, allowing you to easily create and manage smart-contract-based agreements which are legally binding, just like traditional contracts.
Agrello is highly end-user oriented and enables anyone to create smart-contracts.  No coding or legal skills required.

_________________________________________________

How does it work?

Set up an agreement with a few clicks

Agrello provides a graphical interface, templates and wizards, allowing you to readily draft legally-binding multi-party contracts. A few clicks, and all terms and conditions are set in place.

Your agreement is then automatically translated to smart-contract code and stored on the blockchain, with payments, obligations and rights triggered automatically according to the contracts terms and user input. In parallel, a legally binding document is created, written in natural legal English, and signed off digitally. This Document can, in corner cases, be presented to court if traditional legal action is needed. All Agrello agreements are immutable, yet open to adjustment and future renegotiation.

Manage contracts with the power of AI

Throughout the contract’s life cycle, an AI counselor guides you through your agreement and notifies you on your legal obligations and rights.
At any stage you remain in control of your privileges and duties, able to wave and manage them according to the potential benefits and consequences, as presented to you by your AI counselor. This way, simple p2p agreements, as well as complex, multi-party business processes can be automated and orchestrated at a fraction of the standard legal and operational costs.

Realize the vision of legally-binding smart contracts on the blockchain

With Agrello, smart contracts can be used, for the first time, as a viable legal instrument to streamline businesses and enable an accessible P2P sharing economy.

A P2P Sharing Economy

With Agrello, sublets, car pools, and commodity sharing are easily set in action and legally protected with a few clicks.  Freelancers, contractors, and small business owners can formalize long and short term business relations without having to carry legal expenses.
All payments and obligations are triggered automatically on the blockchain, while agreements remain open to future re-negotiation. Involvement of legal personnel and courts is reduced to an absolute minimum if not completely obviated.

High-end Business automation

Agrello smart agreements allow you to set up and manage high-end corporate business process at a fraction of the traditional costs.
Automate and orchestrate global and complex Just-In-Time production flows, streamline HR allocation and salary negotiation, use code based agreements to automate cost/benefit calculations, rationalize and reallocate automatically while considerably reducing administerial and bookkeeping expenses.

From what I understood is that a dummy can make a smart contract. You don't need to be a highly paid developer anyone can do it. If this is true we should see a demo where someone creates a smart contract from start from finish and shows us a Camtasia of the process so we can judge the simplicity. If true it's great!

That is what they show on their website.

I think I remember seeing these guys at Consensus.

Nice to see a good "pre" announcement so people can learn more before supporting the launch.

Cool

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gnosis. Greedy developers on: April 25, 2017, 08:42:32 PM
The developers of Gnosis are being way too greedy.
They could end up with $12.5m and also own more than 50% od the coins as well.

Gnosis is an open source blockchain project, not a private company.

They can't make it closed source, yet they act as though it is. They need us to secure the network. We don't need them.

I think that you should change the thread's title to : " Gnosis's greedy investors "
Because the developers aren't to be blaimed here, as the investors agreed to invest at this price.

So true.  And then they complain loudly and publicly.
