1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: altcoin mining!!!! on: May 25, 2017, 02:44:53 AM
What altcoins are you looking to mine?
scrypt?

Bitmain came out with the antminer L3 + which is very powerful.

But since they're located in china I'm not sure if you have to pay extra for tax or something.

If youre budget is bigger you could also get the "Wolf V1" from EHSminer, with 1GH hashing speed which is quite a lot, but ofcourse the price is higher as well.

Then I also heard that KnC came back with a remodeled version of the Titan with 750 MH.

Of course don't forget you can also check on ebay to see if someone is selling their scrypt miner.
But in that case I would be careful if the hardware really works as promised or not.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum: Good alt or stay away? on: May 08, 2017, 02:49:23 AM
I feel like ethereum is a topic that really splits people's opinions.
Many say that it's just pump and dump and doesnt really have any substantial value, but dont forget that it's the 2nd largest cryptocurrency by now and for example coinbase even added ETH to their service BEFORE adding ltc ...
ETH has gotten a lot of media coverage as well, they're focusing on smart contracts and it seems like a very cool technology to people unfamiliar with crypto.
so I definitely think ETH is worth investing and we havent seen the last of it yet !
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we expect "average Joe" to remember passphrases to his Bitcoins? on: May 08, 2017, 02:29:15 AM
using a secure password manager app either on desktop or mobile can be helpful. that way you just have to remember ONE master password.
there are loads out there that are either free or have very low fees.
also you should always backup with two factor authentification!
4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin better or paypal? on: April 06, 2017, 10:59:39 PM
It depends.
Obviously paypal is currently much more practical, it's easy to use and almost every online shop accepts paypal.
Bitcoin is getting more and more popular slowly but still lacks in accessibility.
But on the other hand, bitcoin is much more secure, the fees are lower and it's anonymous (to a certain point), whereas paypal has some crazy security measurements sometimes.
