I totally agree with a mtgox site in every region, the prices buying them in uk are well overpriced usually an extra £30-40 more than what they are on mtgox. This is because many people struggle to fund mtgox as people who just want to spend the coins find it hard actually funding mtgox and other bitcoin exchanges. Also the problem is pushing for more retailers to use bitcoins, more localised exchanges would encourage them more. So yep totally agree. Mtgox has too much a monopoly over a "de-centralised currency" mmmmmmm after latest events I think it is very much centered round mtgox dont you think?

In the begining the price rise was steadily combined with the difficulty of mining and energy consumption, the bubble was caused by brokers trying cream the market, the people who use bitcoin day to day for purchases where getting ripped off, as the goods to mtgox value where off the chart. The problem will be now encouraging retailers to adopt bitcoin again after this i expect there could be a few stores dubious about the future of bitcoin BTC in the consumer market. After all if people cant spend the coins anywhere whats the point!!! alot of get rich people out there where only intrested in the growth of the coin, I saw brokers in the uk adding £45-65 per coin extra than mtgox price, these are the bubble makers. And no their prices did not reflect the % charges or currency exchanges. Greed corrupts, absolute greed completely corrupts.

Im having problems getting cash to them too, the bank they use is apparently overwhelmed. I transffered some coins over to my uk wallet last night took 5 hours, used vricux site last night moving around all my e currency and that took 3 hrs so I dont think its just them suffering. I can see there has been alot of activity which could be a problem. However if they want bticoin to survive and become dominant then these issues need to be fixed, also mtgox should make it easier to for people to buy, not just brokers but everyone the people who actually use it for buying stuff. Setting up an office up in us, uk, eu,russia and asia. Making the currency more readily available will ensure its survival.
