I am super slow. As per your advice, I just got around to creating a support ticket with Bitmain, rather than proactively swapping out the control board without "permission." Wishing you luck on your RMA experience! I will keep my experience posted here as well!~ ~Sean

I am having the exact same issue that you describe.
driver-bitmain.c:5474: Error of set PIC FLASH addr: addr_H=3(0) addr_L=0(0) on Chain[5]
I thought I would try what your last post recommended, swapping an S9 control board for the S9i in question, and reflashing the firmware with the S9i firmware. . .
But how the heck do you get the control board out???
After removing all the cords, I pop the clips and begin to slide it out of the back, but it bumps into the hashing boards.
Do I have to unscrew the small control-board metal faceplate and slide it out of the front. . . ? I will research more . . .
I am following your issue since we seem to be having the same one. Have you tried this control board swap yet? Did it work?
Wish us luck!

Not sure if this is the proper place to post. . .
Trying to switch some of my miners over to BTG and having some techincal issues/questions.
I'm using pool.gold, but my mining stats are not showing up when I search my wallet address.
Do all BTG wallet addresses begin with "G"? I'm noticing every single worker on the pool seems to start with the letter 'G'.
But my wallet address starts with 'A' -- AWAfVb36Yd5Uoe4RbyskFdKUqcUqUMrGZR
I got this address as a deposit address from abucoins exchange. I was trying to find a decent wallet, but short of downloading a 100Gig core wallet, I was coming up short! Any better, quick/easy BTG wallet suggestions?
Is this issue with my wallet address the reason my stats are not showing up?
Yes A addresses are normal its like bitcoin 1 and 3 addresses I think G is a 1 address and A is a 3 address I figured out my issue. . . I was adding params to start.bat, instead of configuring config.txt! Silly me~

Seems like Bitmain has had a pretty strong corner on the market for ASIC hardware for some time. . .
I have recently seen Avalon and Syan which look like decent competition. . .
Anyone else know of any good alternative ASIC hardware companies?
Seems like there must be more hidden gems of the mining world out there!
I have had really good experiences working with Bitmain. . . but I kind of shudder when I think about one company almost single-handedly controlling the Network Hashrate. . . carefully planning their batch releases. . . *shudder*

When I had a lot of 4 and 5 card rigs it happened a lot.
Now that i have 2 and 3 card nvidia 1080ti rigs it is a non issue.
Absolutely! Things got so much easier when I started building 3 card rigs -- Fewer issues and more stability. And they are cheaper to build! MB, CPU, PSU all LESS than half the cost of bigger gear~ I don't know why everyone likes to build 6 card rigs We could make a whole new topic about this! And yes, the 1080 ti's are very easy to work with!

Philip, you're right on point.
Basically a series of patient reboots seems to have fixed this problem. In many cases I didn't have to move the monitor at all, just reboot 3-4 times in a row -- checking the hash-rates in between each boot. Seems like removing the monitor entirely and working remotely with a few reboots helps too. Also, I had one older card that required a dummy-plug (not even sure what it is anymore! maybe an old R9?)
A finicky little problem indeed ~ seems to work itself out as the system settles~
Thank you for your help!

never say a gpu mines at 70% or 20%
lets stay with eth what mh do you get?
4mh and 7mh are the common issue number
4mh hook up a monitor to each gpu 1 at a time 7mh is overheating or weak psu.
next don't dual mine hard if you use claymore there are settings for intensity did you use them?
other questions what psu's are you using?
what risers do you use?
and the shifting gpu bug is due to the fact the order of gpus can and do shift with fresh boots. For Ethereum, my 480's are hashing at about 24MH/s, but there is usually one card in each rig that is hashing around 4.8MH/s. I say %20, because this ratio stays consistent between the one GPU, and the other GPUs in the same rig, whether I am mining zcash, or monero, etc. I will try hooking a monitor up to each GPU one at a time. This test will work while the machine is mining? Or should I stop mining in between moving the monitor? Also, can I use a dummy-plug instead of a monitor? If this turns out to be the issue, will I need a dummy-plug for every monitor, since the GPU order shifts every time? I am using platinum EVGA PSUs. One is a 1600W for the GIGABYTE cards, and the other is a 1200W for the MSI cards. I am using these riser cables from MintCell: https://www.amazon.com/6-Pack-PCI-E-Powered-Adapter-Extension/dp/B01GU94QSQ/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1491783885&sr=8-4&keywords=pcie+1x+to+16x

I am fairly new to mining and I am having a mysterious issue I would love some help on!
I have three rigs, one with 6 MSI RX 480s, one with 5 GIGABYTE RX 480s, and one with 3 assorted GPUs. They have different motherboards and PSUs. They are all running Win10, with AMD Catalyst/Crimson driver 16.60.2911.1011. I am having the same issue with Claymore zcash v12.4, Dual v8.1, and Cyptonote v9.7.
All the cards are mining, except one seems to mine at %20 of what it should! The stranger thing is that WHICH card is doing this whimpy mining switches . . . First it's GPU1, reboot, then it's GPU3, etc~ Also, the issue is inconsistent. It seems to be doing this about %70, but sometimes I'll get lucky and all GPUs will mine %100 for a time.
Would upgrading to driver 17.4 help? Or perhaps a better driver to downgrade to?
I have tried putting a dummy plug into one GPU, and it does not seem to help, though I have not exhausted experimentation with this.
Anyone else experienced this same issue?
Any thoughts/suggestions?

I am fairly new to mining, but based on my initial experience, it seems NiceHash does have higher returns. I was initially mining Monero with estimated profits of about $80/month (April 2017). But switching to NiceHash, my esitmated profits jumped all the way to ~$250+/month . . . I've only been using the service for 4-5 days and have already had a payout of 0.065 BTC. I have to admit, I'm wondering about the "bench-marking" that their proprietary mining software does. How important is it really to know the speed of your mining equipment before just diving in and starting to mine? I know the idea is that the program can more effectively pick which algorithm to mine with, and make sure the various software is working with your hardware . . . however, with a 6 GPU rig, even if all the GPUs are the exact same model, it has to run for ~2 minutes, for every algorithm, for every GPU. . . call me conspiratorial, but I can't imagine that they are not just doing REAL mining, and keeping that profit for themselves. It can add up to an hour of mining for every rig - could NiceHash be keeping %100 of the profits from this "test-mining?" every time a new user signs up . . . Of 'course I have no way to know if this is actually what they're doing! So while my "sheist" meter is on alert . . . it still looks like I'm going to be making a lot more profit with this company than any other I've found! That's why I'm curious to hear some experiences from any long-term users of NiceHash out there~

I am wondering if anyone would like to share their experiences using the NiceHash mining pool.
I have only been using the service for about a week, but I am wondering if there are others out there who have been using the service for a longer time that would like to post a non-biased review.
I will post my initial thoughts below~
Many thanks!
