1  Economy / Speculation / Re: Senate passes Internet sales tax bill on: May 07, 2013, 11:15:12 PM
Taxing the exchange websites that do USD to Bitcoin, or vice versa.
2  Economy / Economics / Re: In Bitcoin a Narco-Currency? on: May 05, 2013, 06:55:35 PM
I think it's a bad thing when people associate an entire currency with drugs, and may strop some people from using bitcoins.
3  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's Your Buy Price? on: May 02, 2013, 09:59:16 PM
I only want to buy if I know that the price is on an upward trend.
4  Economy / Economics / Re: Early Retirement Extreme on: May 02, 2013, 09:58:06 PM

5  Economy / Economics / Re: A brief history of US money on: May 02, 2013, 09:55:30 PM

6  Economy / Economics / Re: 1 BTC = 2000 USD on: May 02, 2013, 09:53:42 PM
I think that bitcoin is too unstable, and if this trend continues, it'll  never reach a value of even $1000 per coin.
7  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin tax in Canada! on: May 02, 2013, 09:50:36 PM
They'd most likely only be able to tax businesses bitcoins.
8  Economy / Economics / Re: Who ACTUALLY knows what they're talking about here? on: April 24, 2013, 12:17:55 AM
I think you'd be better off trusting people on their post count, rather than their credentials. Good luck finding credentials, because more people try to keep anonymous on forum sites. You could read what people that own bit coin related businesses have to say, if you look around. But, in all honesty, I think that credentials are meaningless, and just about everyone's opinion is constructive and meaningful.
9  Economy / Economics / Re: Assuming bitcoin stabilized in value one day what would the annual rate be? on: April 24, 2013, 12:13:59 AM
I don't think it'll ever stabilize. But, when all the coins are mined and it's well-known, it should stop fluctuating so intensely and rapidly.
10  Economy / Economics / Re: E=m*btc^2 ? on: April 23, 2013, 02:16:48 AM
Electricity is definitely a variable; but not that important. What drives the bitcoin is it's supply to demand ratio, and what people are willing to pay due to many variables.
11  Economy / Economics / Re: Your opinion of trading bots... on: April 21, 2013, 07:45:18 PM
Just so it's not an abusive bot, I see no problem.

13  Economy / Economics / Re: What Popping Bitcoin Bubbles Tell Us on: April 21, 2013, 07:41:35 PM
I just hope that people start using bitcoins in businesses more. Thanks for bringing this up.

16  Economy / Economics / Re: There is manipulation going on. on: April 19, 2013, 08:00:06 AM
It's probably due to many of the newcomers getting verified on Mt. Gox, finally. It'll probably drop when some of this media hype cools off.
17  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How long until I can post outside the newbie area? on: April 16, 2013, 11:47:17 PM
I've only got 3 hours left until I can post elsewhere  Grin See you in the other sections.

20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Introduce yourself :) on: April 12, 2013, 12:06:58 PM
Hey,

I decided to start using bit coins recently after seeing the drastic price changes. I've known about bitcoins for a few years, but didn't want to join until they had become popular. I like making money, so I'm going to have a go at trading. If anyone has any tips or secrets, feel free to pm me  Cheesy
