1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 5.5c: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: January 30, 2021, 06:18:01 AM
Would it be possible to have an option to increase fan speed in cases where the pcap reason is "temp"? It could gradually increase the fan speed by 1% until the pcap reason changes to something other than temp, and maybe then try gradually reducing the speed again until it finds the minimum speed that avoids overheating. The problem with Nvidia 30x0 cards is that the memory temperature is the main reason for throttling, but there is no direct way of monitoring the memory temperature, only checking when the performance cap reason changes to "temp".

They replied to my ticket after five days, which I suspect only happened because I DM'd them on Twitter. It took them four more days to actually resolve the relatively straightforward problem (returning the XRP I had accidentally sent to the BTC/USD deposit address).

When I last needed to contact them last August, someone replied to the mail I sent to their support address within three minutes. To say the service has deteriorated since then would be something of an understatement. I won't be using Bitstamp again unless I hear that their support has improved significantly.

There's something very wrong at the moment. I appreciate their support is busy, but there's a difference between responses being delayed by a day or two and people not getting any response after a week or more. I've been waiting since Saturday for a reply to a ticket that should take one minute to resolve, and I'm not holding out hope of it happening any time soon.

You only have to search for "@Bitstamp" on Twitter to see how many people are in a similar situation: https://twitter.com/search?f=tweets&q=%40bitstamp

Needless to say, I'd strongly suggest that people avoid trusting Bitstamp with any of their funds until they get this situation sorted out. My experience up to this week had been positive so this is pretty disappointing.

Most worrying is that they seem to be planning to add support for LTC and ETH in the near future, when they're not anywhere near able to cope with the volume of support requests they're already getting.

My deposit has also been credited which is obviously a big relief but I'm still disappointed in the way this episode has been handled, better communication throughout would have made it much less stressful. Hopefully lessons have been learned and Bitstamp will continue to improve from here.

Also waiting on a significant SEPA deposit made on 10th April to be credited to my account, unfortunately even the "please be patient" messages seem to have dried up now and they're just ignoring any support tickets and PMs on this forum regarding the matter.

There appears to be something very badly wrong here and I would strongly advise anyone considering dealing with Bitstamp not to do so.

I'm sure Transferwise could help with this, just as your local bank would with a wire transfer. But remember that Transferwise have fulfilled their part of the transfer perfectly. I imagine they're wrongly getting it in the neck about this from a few confused customers.
I know they are because when I contacted Transferwise to get my payment confirmation they said:
"You are apparently one of the numerous customers affected by Bitstamp's delays – up until now all payments to them were actually there, but there's been a delay in them confirming the receipt."

I'm also going to be left with no choice but to attempt to recover my money via Transferwise if this isn't resolved by the end of tomorrow.

There is no "SEPA 1 to 3 business days", since January 2012 SEPA payments have been legally required to arrive at the destination account by the end of the next business day and to be available to the recipient immediately.

That's Article 69 of the Payment Services Directive that you can read here:
http://eur-lex.europa.eu/LexUriServ/LexUriServ.do?uri=CELEX:32007L0064:EN:NOT

Unfortunately Bitstamp are claiming that they haven't received my SEPA payment that was made on Wednesday 10th April so something appears to have gone very wrong somewhere along the line.

Unfortunately still no deposit in my account and no reply to the support ticket from 24 hours ago.

Could someone who has full posting access please post a message in the main Bitstamp thread in the Marketplace forum linking to this thread? I think anyone who's currently considering depositing money with Bitstamp would be interested in seeing how our problems are resolved before they go ahead with it.

While hazek's response is of course appreciated, I'd second GreenerK's question about automation. I have my Transferwise payment information in front of me and the reference on the payment exactly matches the reference provided on the Bitstamp deposit page. If there is an automated system in place to match payments to accounts, it's hard to understand why it wouldn't be able to do so in this case.

The new bank details are for a different account at the same Slovenian bank (the BIC defines the bank and it hasn't changed). Only their contact address has moved to the UK.

Deposit sent by Transferwise at 8.30am Wednesday 10th April for estimated arrival yesterday, still hasn't appeared in my Bitstamp account. Support ticket has been open for a few hours with no reply.
