To any and all who might think that crypto currency is too complicated or over their head, then I highly suggest you join this coins Discord community and then...just let it happen. Smiley It really is that easy if you are willing to be nice and just ask questions. I guarantee someone will be there to help answer ANY question you might have and if the person with the answer happens to be off line they will get the message.  Sounds like fantasy I know but hey...do you believe in Leprechauns ? If not, then join the discord channel and you will see a whole bunch of us!

4  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Eyeboot USB Mini 2-Port USB 2.0 Hub Splitter with 5V 3 Amp power adapter on: June 24, 2017, 01:24:20 AM
Sorry I'm late to the party but thank you for including me.

I will be testing this with my 49 port hub running 10 gsd orbs, 3 gsd blades, 4 2pacs, a nano bit fury and a GAW miner. I also have 4 rock miners running on a rass pi so I might add them.

Thanks again klintay!
5  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Chinese mining hardware suppliers on Alibaba on: June 24, 2017, 12:58:25 AM
I was looking at the x11 miners on alibaba and they look like great deals...but I am skeptical as well. Anyone used them?

6  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Who likes pod miners? on: June 12, 2017, 03:45:18 PM
Glad you are busy sidehack...I cant wait for the pod testing to start.  On a side note I have an idea about a miner retrofit, but not hardware...building a driver or whatever to run an existing design in a different way to utilize the ability of an older platform.

I am in way over my head...lol.  I will send you a PM with more details but its not something I want you to address right now. Just keep it in the back stack of you minds eye and we will maybe talk in a few months. Smiley
7  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [BETA] ckpool.org 0.5% fee SPLNS segwit mining pool on: May 31, 2017, 09:08:48 PM
Yes that is a lot of miners but as you say if people followed your advice that would mean a lot of SINGLE miner users right? Being a haven for the guy/gal with one gekko is the whole idea...I like it!
8  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [BETA] ckpool.org 0.5% fee SPLNS segwit mining pool on: May 31, 2017, 03:45:11 PM
Ok added a couple of miners...lets do this!
9  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience 2Pac BM1384 Stickminer Official Support Thread on: May 31, 2017, 03:03:45 PM
Being blind in one eye and hardly seeing out the other I have a bit of trouble being precise in my voltage adjustments...that being said, you might try turning the pot one complete turn either way and starting again...

just had another issue while attempting to adjust voltage. i wanted to get 1.5 exactly so i turned it slightly, it read 1.6, so i turned down the pot again slightly, and now its only reading 0.17v and i cant get it to move from there. did i just break my POT?

11  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: mmpool.org - 1.5% fee DGM/PPS - tx fees/vardiff/merge mine/tor on: May 17, 2017, 01:40:57 AM
Ok I think I figured it out...so I will needd to make a new account with all the addresses at one time. I only made xxooss a BTC one.  Do I need to wait to get paid b4 I turn him off and use the new user name?
12  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: mmpool.org - 1.5% fee DGM/PPS - tx fees/vardiff/merge mine/tor on: May 17, 2017, 01:03:55 AM
Thanks philip. Sorry I just got time to see this, my bad but life. lol  I guess since it is now set to change the diff automagically its all good...just take 3 to 5 min of share sifting to get right.  On another note I cant find any thing about how I see my merged mining results or even how to get them if I have them. lol

I am sure there is some giant bold print somewhere that tells me what to do but I cant find/see it. Smiley
13  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: mmpool.org - 1.5% fee DGM/PPS - tx fees/vardiff/merge mine/tor on: May 10, 2017, 07:24:40 PM
Hi all and thank you mmpool Smiley

I just registered and am mining but I had to take out the starting diff part because it would not run. Here is my bat and I am sure it is me doing it wrong.

cgminer -o stratum+tcp://mmpool.org:3333 -u xxooss -p x --gekko-2pac-freq 200  --suggested-diff 16

I have tried a lot of diff combos but I just cant figure it out. Any ideas?
14  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience 2Pac BM1384 Stickminer Official Support Thread on: May 10, 2017, 03:10:29 PM
I got mine and it solved all my issues. I run 4 2-pacs, a nano bit fury, 4 rockminers, 1 gawblizzard and 10 gridseeds on mine and no issues.

I'm looking at the Eyeboot 49 port 5V USB 2.0 Hub 110-220v for purchase.  Does anyone have experience with such devices?  On such a device, how many 2pacs could I reasonably expect to run?  How many have members run?  Thanks in advance.
15  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Who likes pod miners? on: April 29, 2017, 04:06:52 PM
quiet is good but stability is more important to me...just my 2 coppers. Also great job progressing along...can hardly wait to get one to do my fraggle rock test on. lol
16  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience 2Pac BM1384 Stickminer Official Support Thread on: April 28, 2017, 04:45:55 PM

Thanks sidehack. I am about to the point where I will just run the 2pacs...the one I have works flawlessly and when I add the other 3 I am sure they will as well. ATM I am running a 2pac, nano bit fury, 3 rockminer 5 chippers and a gridseed all on the eyeboot and they all get along. Two other rockminers are finiky for whatever reason but whatever. I like stuff that works, works well and is consistent...the 2pacs seem to fit that bill.

Those 49-port hubs are pretty decent. Klintay hooked me up with one for free in exchange for a positive review/endorsement. Normally I would refuse a deal like that, but it worked out in this case because I actually do really like the thing and would endorse it regardless. All but a few hundred of the ~3000 Compacs and every of the ~1300 2Pacs were tested on it, usually drawing about 4W per stick and up to 30 sticks at a time, with no problems.

Also, I think when Windows versions older than 8 are no longer allowed to work will be the last day I use Windows. Microsoft has been going in an increasingly irritating direction with their software since about 2002. Point of fact, pretty much everyone has been.

Hey, at least cgminer doesn't have a cartoonish GUI and burns multiple gigabytes of RAM for no apparent reason. Gotta love CLI.

Additionally, glad to see you got everything working out.
17  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience 2Pac BM1384 Stickminer Official Support Thread on: April 28, 2017, 02:28:45 AM
Hi all...i took a trip down "Windows 7 is not supported by 6th and 7th gen Intel procs." So...

I wanted to post to talk about my struggles so far and that there are only really TWO things that caused ALL of my problems.

The first tidbit of wisdom I gained is that if your miner is saying it cant detect your device and you just keep trying to reset the USB stick/cable for like an hour and it still does not find it, stop assuming it is plugged in or that you are unplugging the right device...chances are it can't  find what it's looking for because it really is NOT there.

The second and MOST important thing is POWER. After buying my 49 port eyeboot I have had ZERO errors other than those caused by my first assumption.

Thank you sidehack, vh, and philip for helping me to learn. One more thing to anyone new...if one of these three tell you that you need to do something, do it.  Grin
18  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Now that usb sticks are being sold by sidehack here is a new usb hub thread. on: April 20, 2017, 12:46:34 AM
Thanks NFW!

I wanted 2.0 because I was reading one of sidehack posts sayinng 2.0 was the only way to go since there was no advantage to anything else.   Or did I not get the gist of his post...<snip>
No, you got it right. The most common USB3.0 ports and hubs can provide a little more current than 2.0 allows but folks have had issues running sticks directly from 3.0 hubs. Since we don't care about the higher speeds 3.0 can run that leaves main requirement as...

The need to simply use a hub that will supply more 5vdc power such as ones rated for 2.1A and higher charging. Look for BC2.1 as  I recall. They normally used to power tablets/phablets and the better ones will happily provide more than just 2.1A -- but -- look at what and how many ports it can feed that power to at the same time.

20  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience 2Pac BM1384 Stickminer Official Support Thread on: April 19, 2017, 09:27:58 PM
Ok so I was still having issues with my 2Pac failing in cgminer and cgminer disabling it. I started trouble shooting...

Turns out I was using the libusb-win32 (v1.2.6.0) driver. It was working but I uninstalled it and put on the WinUSB (v6.1.7600.16385) driver and it starts and hashes but is getting libusb pipe error  Trying to clear. It gets this over and over every second but it is hashing...after a few min it will die I suspect from the error.

Is it possible there is still some reference to the libusb win32 driver in cgminer? I am going to reinstall it clean and try that but any info would be great. I tried searching for the error and got results but it was in the linux sections. This was interesting since I had installed the libusbk  driver at one point .

Here is a screen shot...
