This was pretty easy to setup when other guides have been very confusing. Thank you so much. Now, I have a hardware question. Do you think I could upgrade my graphics cards from my sony Vaio laptop? Is it possible and even worth it? Just wondering because I want to get more serious.

I think I'll just give up on this and continue using the extremely simple BitcoinPlus. It does the same thing basically just slower and with less profit. But with cheap electricity maybe I can make some semblance of BTC over a few years. This mining is too complicated for me to understand

I use guiminer cause I thought it would be easy to setup but I think more work needs to be done here. Don't know exactly what I have to do though. like why does it say this: Code: using JSON-RPC (no stratum header) I have no clue what it means. I just want to be able to connect and get this to work, then I can actually consider a hardware upgrade if I decide to get serious.

Okay, I opened port 8332 (hopefully correctly) and the console readout has changed a little

I am in need of some help. I have searched extensively to correctly set up guiminer and just can't seem to get it. My console reads this when I start
