2  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [ANN] #takebobbysbitcoin Ballet REAL BITCOIN Wallets on: November 01, 2020, 09:25:13 AM
no one is going to crack the passphrase for the one or the private key for the other - unless one of the workers has access but per Bobby all that data is deleted so that means no one is gonna get it.

But how do we know that one of the workers doesn't have it? Just because they didn't take it today or tomorrow.... It just confirms that they haven't gone rogue yet.

Nobody really knows. So far so good and let's hope it stays that way. But let's not put too much stock in these marketing gimmicks.

And 2BTC? Seriously? A reward for ants?

This pieces look very cool.

Do they still sell from time to time on this forum? What kind of premiums can one expect?

Was there ever an instance of a BB being compromised in its history?

OK, just trying to be helpful here....

You should consider starting a fresh auction in a broader forum. This one is more for collectible stuff, crypto coins, notes and things.

Probably better to put it in the "Goods" forum: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=51.0

Also you should mention where it's shipping from i.e. what country as this may be helpful information for the buyer, especially with a sensitive item like this one.

The picture you provided is good but for a second hand item, especially one that's been hooked up to propane, you can assume buyers will want to see more pics than just the serial number.

The starting price looks fairly high - just my opinion. For example, brand new (never used) ones have sold on eBay for $2,500 in the past week https://www.ebay.com/itm/BRAND-NEW-NEVER-USED-The-Boring-Company-Not-a-Flamethrower-5-Letter/274530506864?hash=item3feb4b1870:g:K10AAOSwLGRfg7sO You're asking about $3,800 for a used one.

Offer buyers the use of escrow, which means that they can send the ETH or BTC to a trusted member on the forum, who while release it to you once you've shipped the item.

Good luck!

If you want to increase chances of getting a sale done here, you'll need to show us more pics of the item and tell us a bit about its history, e.g. has it been hooked up to propane? You can use BB code to automatically embed them into the thread like this:

Also where does the item ship from? Who pays for shipping? Will you accept escrow?

Mr Anduck's webpage says that there're only 16 of the 25's of 2015 edition in existence.

Yes correct:

2015 Titanium N Series Bitcoin Block
   Unredeemed: 13 (81.25%)
   Redeemed:   3 (18.75%)
   Total:      16

In my opinion, the collectors who bought and held those 25's are strong hands and I can't imagine those pieces seeing the light of day.

Good luck!

An extra pic of the etiu:

15  Economy / Collectibles / [ENDED] BTCC titanium blocks (redeemed) on: October 19, 2020, 05:54:04 AM
I saved the best for last! Up for auction are two BTCC Mint titanium blocks.

These are beautiful pieces.

I believe there's only 16 of the 25's in existence. These are as rare as hen's teeth!

The titanium blocks and wooden boxes (etiu) are in great condition; they have only been handled once when I redeemed them and just now to take some pictures. The hologram stickers are obviously compromised but are included.

Auction terms:

Please limit posts to bids or comments/questions about the item for auction. This is a self moderated topic. I will remove irrelevant general discussions about "when peel/why peel/merits of peeling" etc.

BIDDING FORMAT: BTC

STARTING BIDS:

12.5BTC block: 0.65BTC

25BTC block: 0.85BTC

MINIMUM BID INCREMENT PER BID: 0.005BTC

END TIME: OCTOBER 24th, 2020, 20:00:00 PDT

Here's a timer: https://www.timeanddate.com/countdown/generic?iso=20201024T20&p0=137&font=cursive

*Payment due within 24 hours of auction end!!*

SNIPE: Any bid made in last 10 minutes will extend the auction 10 minutes beyond the ending time. If within those 10 extended minutes, a new bid is made, 10 minutes will be added to the auction from the time of that bid.

PAYMENT: Bitcoin BTC (if preferred, we can later figure out the equivalent ETH based on the ETH/BTC ratio from Binance at the time of the winning bid - I am reasonable)

I am an oldschool member with legit trust/feedback, though I haven't been active on here in a while, you can bid with confidence. If you really insist, you may use e.g. minerjones as escrow at your expense.

SHIPPING: Buyer pays shipping based on location/preference; of course no mark-ups, you will pay exactly whatever it costs me. Bear in mind, the packages will have some weight to them.

I reserve the right to ignore bids placed by obvious scammers/accounts that don't look legit. I may also cancel the auction early if there are no bids.
16  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Question] How much are 0.5 BTC Casascius going for these days? on: October 18, 2020, 03:02:36 PM
I don't know so much about the Casascius but I've noticed there's not much rhyme or reason on physical collectibles, premiums and the price of BTC.

For example, I've seen the BTCC 0.5's selling for 0.70 in the past few weeks, an incredible 40% premium! These were around 10-15% premium when they first went on the market (and BTC was worth a lot less then).

Good luck with your future sales :-)

Old but very cool thread!

I loved seeing the comments by Gavin Andresen that you dug up from 2010.

It's going to be interesting to see where the next generation of collectibles take us... Smart contracts on a coin? Who knows...
18  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] BTCC redeemed titanium 1BTC's and 5BTC's - including a rare "pair" set on: October 17, 2020, 05:28:29 AM
Accepted an offer for both lots and ended the auction early. There were no bids, so figure it's okay.

Thanks for the interest and views. I have one more auction to come, saved the best till last. Stay tuned!  Smiley
19  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] BTCC redeemed titanium 1BTC's and 5BTC's - including a rare "pair" set on: October 17, 2020, 04:03:43 AM
Great looking collection. That 5 btc coin is something else  Shocked

Best of luck with your auction!

Thanks! The 5BTC is such a sweet piece. You have to see it in person to truly appreciate it, it's like the big daddy of coins. I tried to make a comparison picture (against the 1BTC and 0.5BTC) but it doesn't really do it justice. I might try again from a different angle, overhead is probably better but then glare (I'm not much of a photographer!).

Cool thread guys!

Great for those of us who have been out of the game for a while. Just catching up now. Thanks!
