Hello guys, What do I need to do if I have Gbytes on my Byteball address before Aug. 7 (distribution). Do I need to still chat with the transition bot or what?
Do I still need to do something to qualify for the airdrop distribution? Please help me,

You don't need to do anything for the GBYTEs distribution, but if you want to receive Blackbytes, you have to make sure all those GBYTEs are in one or more addresses linked by the transition bot. Just say "hi" to the transition bot, and it should show you your linked addresses. Is the distribution automatic after the snapshot? Where can we see if the snapshot happened already? Can we track if our Byteball address holding GBYTES is already included for the distribution? Will it send confirmation to us that the snapshot has been taken already? Many questions All the answers are available in you Byteball client chat window. There you can see registered / connected bitcoin addresses. There you can see the projected amount of Byteballs that you will receive. After the distribution, the amount received will be shown in the history window of the client. |

Is BCH and BCC are different coins? Can I split into both same priv key?
Yes and no Many exchanges confusingly gave ticker BCC to Bitcoin Cash. It should be BCH! BCC is already in use for Bitconnect Coin. I suppose that the exchanges won't be changing the name of the ticker. They don't care about it. |

2. Create a totally new logical wallet with a new mnemonic, etc. Just creating new addresses is not sufficient: the new wallet needs to be completely separate from the old one. The new wallet's private keys should be under your personal control just in case your transaction is replayed or something else goes wrong. Make sure you have backups of the new wallet.
3. Send all of the BTC in your old wallet to your new wallet, and wait until this transaction has 30 confirmations. (If you are really itching to get your BCH, it would not be totally crazy to wait for as few as 3 confirmations, but there is some risk with that.) Note that sending all of your BTC in a single transaction is likely to be harmful to your privacy; if you care about this, you might want to send it in several smaller transactions to several different addresses on the new wallet.
4. On a separate computer that you wouldn't too much mind being compromised, install a BCash wallet such as one of the ones listed on bitcoincash.org. (Warning: some Bcash wallets are known to overwrite important files belonging to their Bitcoin counterparts.) Or use a Web-based exchange/wallet supporting Bcash. Import the private keys from your old, now-empty Bitcoin wallet into this Bcash wallet. Now you have BCH which you can handle as you wish. Note that BCH transactions may be very slow to confirm for a couple of days.

If I import the private keys from my old, now-empty Bitcoin wallet into the new Bcash wallet, does this mean that the my new Bcash wallet will have the old BTC addresses, which are now empty? 2. If someone were to send me BTC to my old BTC address, I could still use my old wallet to retrieve those coins, right? Yes on both questions. Your new BCH wallet will have the complete history prior to the hardfork. |

I don't think you need another board.
Is there a set number of posts to determine if a country merits a board on its own? Is there a policy in place about creating new boards? Hello and thank you very much for your prompt reply. There are four other topics in the Other languages/locations board that have more activity than the thread for Slovenian. I wouldn't expect to get a subforum for Slovenian until you can surpass all of their activity (or all four of those topics receive subforums of their own).

Dear friends, help me out, please. What is the procedure, if there is any in place, of creating the local board in Slovenian language? Thank you very much in advance for your answers and help. I believe that Slovenian speaking community here on the forum can only benefit from their local board. We all know that Slovenian presence in the crypto world is very strong. Being in the area of exchanges, currencies, projects, initiatives, knowledge, and users, adopters, ... Let me name some brand names - Bitstamp, Xaurum, Cashila, Iconomy, Cofound.it. ... only to name a few. There is a Slovenian sub board under local -> other languages with almost 1000 messages. Authors of the posts are some very well known experts in the crypto world. I believe that all this arguments suffice and that Slovenian community merits a board on our own. I have no personal interest to become a moderator other than helping the community. Yet I would gladly accept the role if there won't surface the candidate who has longer and more prominent presence on the forum. Along with time, knowledge, skills and dedication to moderate the board. Please, answer in support of my notion. Thank you very much! |

Something we've been discussing and working on today has been integrating BELA/USD conversion estimates directly onto posts. This would allow users to see an estimate of how much money (in USD) a post has earned. The benefits of this are that users can see how other photos (especially quality ones) are earning money, so they can know that they can earn money too. The difficulty comes with how to give an estimated USD value when the price of Belacoin fluctuates. A post that has earned $5 one day may be worth $7.50 the next without earning anymore Belacoin because the price of Belacoin increased by 50%. Steemit is using a three day moving average of steem/USD rate. That means that the value is *averaged* and lagging behind when there are spikes - up or down. As it was the case these last days ...
