Phillip,  Yes both windows are on the same wall.  I see what you're saying ... So what about using the windows for air intake and exhausting through the ceiling into the attic of my house?

That's probably your best option tbh, considering your window arrangements.

Happy Holidays everyone

So, I finally got my 100 GPU mini farm up and running.. trying to control the dust has been a challenge, so I wanted to ask you folks..how do you go about cleaning/maintaining your GPUs? Do you shut a rig off and individually clean each GPU? or do you just blast them with an air gun without taking them offline? The more dust being collected under each fan means more wear and tear for sure.. so I'm not sure how to approach this lol

well, to be fair, they always said it never hurt to ask..

I have 16 rigs with this PSU, using 3 cables to power 6 gpus.. havent had any issues. What are your power limits set to?

Sorry
Can I just stop watch dog function?
Because my stuff not got there.
watch dog would make my GPU driver crash.
I wanna stop it. How can I do ? Thanks for help
everything is fine on your design .

click on a worker >> remote settings >> disable watchdog

i can imagine watchdog gpu driver crash, thats just check process running or not, if not start it.

Great work! Just subscribed to a plan, but still shows "tier FREE".. how long till this changes to my new tier? Thanks and happy thanksgiving!

you must got it.  Grin

Cheers!

I'll provide feedback once I get all my units online.

Thanks again!

you guys running with the lids on or off? Seems like it would be a tight fit with the covers on.

Been using this tool for some time now, love it. I had a question tho.. I connected my 8th rig and for some reason I am not able to see any gpu info (http://imgur.com/a/DJIVU).

Any ideas why??

how can i set the Fee to 0? Does that have any Impact? (beside the obvious...)

add --fee 0 in the .bat file. not sure if there are any impacts to performance (such as decreased speeds, etc.).
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Rig with very different GPUs (970, 1070 and Fury 9) on: June 09, 2017, 04:03:24 AM
OK great - yes, all of the motherboards I have been considering support 6 or more AMD cards, so that's good news. It's hard to find a lot of info about NVIDIA mining as there's so much focus on the much cheaper AMD cards.

Looks like I might actually settle on the Asus Z270-P motherboard.

I would go with the Asus Z270-A / AR motherboard. That's the board BBT used in his 1060 video and he' built a nine card RX 580 rig with two diffrent brands of cards on that board using M.2 to PCI-E expansion cards.

Wow that's really cool - thanks for the suggestion.

For power supplies, is it better to go with one large 1200w or two smaller 750w PSUs?

If anything, I'd go with an atx psu to power the mobo and a server psu to power your risers and gpus.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Peripheral ports on PSU with 6 pin usb risers on: June 08, 2017, 04:09:20 AM
Hey guys,

I had a quick question about Corsair's HX12000 PSU:

http://www.corsair.com/en-us/hx-series-hx1200-1200-watt-80-plus-platinum-certified-fully-modular-psu-na

Instead of using a sata to 6 pin cable to power my risers (http://www.ebay.com/itm/USB3-0-PCI-E-Express-1x-To-16x-Extender-Riser-Card-Adapter-SATA-6Pin-Power-Cable-/192183840986?hash=item2cbf0cb0da:g:1W0AAOSw42dZE79T), would I be able to directly connect them to the peripheral ports on this PSU?

I'm trying to upgrade/move away from my current sata to molex powered risers, and was planning on spiting six 6+2 PCIE cables to power my GPUs and risers. However, I just realized that this expensive PSU eats a 8 pin slot for the 4+4 CPU..which leaves me with 5 slots for my 6+2 PCIE cables.

Any suggestions would be great!

Thanks!
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / First 24 gpu setup on: May 29, 2017, 08:18:07 PM
Hey guys!

Pretty new to mining, but I felt confident enough to expand my first 6 gpu setup (sitting on top of the rack) to a 24 gpu setup and wanted to share my work in progress:

I decided to mine eth/zec with 24 gtx 1070 on 4 z170a mobos due to the fact that all the rx cards are either sold out or ridiculously over priced. I can share more information for those interested.

Some things I learned:

1) the heat generated from a 6 gpu rig is manageable inside a bedroom
2) the heat generated from a 24 gpu rig is not manageable inside a bedroom  Grin Cheesy
3) can not pull more than 15A from the wall socket

My next steps include:
1) move the unit to the garage to create a better intake/exhaust system; or
2) move the unit into a small outdoor shed
3) electrical work

Any advice with the electrical work (or anything else)? I know each rig (holding 6 gpus) pulls around 7-7.5A and 700-850W, so I figured it be smarter to have a dedicated breaker for this project.

Also, how do you guys remotely monitor/manage your rigs? I wanted to use simplemining.net but it looks like it's not available for gtx cards.

Thanks!!

Hey! Can you help?

Im using Zec miner 0.3.3b and MSI Afterburner. Settings to all 4x GPUs are 80, 100, 500.

And each of them giving about 470 sol. But sometimes after restarting miner some of the GPU is giving 410 sol instead of 470 as always. So its become 470 410 470 470. What could it be and how to fix that?

It can be fixed if i manually will make default settings in Afterburner and bring it back to 80, 100, 500 in this GPU. Or restarting PC is helping too.

This is how it looks like

Are you, by chance, remoting into that desktop using something like Chrome Remote Desktop?

I have the same problem he describes, but only when using Chrome Remote Desktop..why does that happen with this program?

Man, so far so good  Smiley

Here is my current setup:

EWBF's miner version: 0.3.3b

5 GTX 1070 (ASUS STRIX)
~427 Sol/s
PL @ 96%
TL @ 70'C
Core +167
Memory +179

1 GTX 1060 6 gb (ASUS DUAL)
~295 Sol/s
Stock settings

Total system draw at 933 watts
Averaging around 2435 Sol/s

In case anyone is curious about the mobo, I was able to get 6 GPUs running on a 990FXA-UD3 R5 from Gigabyte.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: EWBF's CUDA Zcash miner on: April 26, 2017, 01:14:50 AM
Hi, here is can be a lot of reason for this behaviour, software problem: miner, driver, etc, hardware problem: bad raiser, bad gpu or weak power supply.
Try running multiple miner instances and distributing all the gpus between these instances, this will give you an answer whether this error is related to a specific gpu or not.

Code: 77 -- Check yr GPU memory (one card at a time). Try using MemtestG80 and test for at least 4096mb video ram.

Did you try unticking   -Unlock voltage control  and  -Unlock voltage monitoring?
1070's become unstable when they are ticked.

Guys, thank you for taking the time to help!! Great community and great mining software. With your support and suggestions I was able to determine that I apparently had a faulty card causing all 6 to crash. Now I am able run with 5 GTX 1070s until my 6th gets replaced at ~415 sols/s...time to tweak the cards to squeeze more hash!

Hey guys,

So I've been running into this issue now for the past few days and I cant seem to get around it:

http://imgur.com/a/xdIJH

I'm running 6 GTX 1070 with the latest drivers and I'm using version 0.3.3b for the miner. I've searched through this thread and saw a suggestion to try--solver 1 or 2 but had no luck there. Also, in order to even get this to run I have essentially underclock both the core and memory drastically..if I dont, I'll get the same error immediately. I have a log of this if anyone wants to take a look.

I'd really appreciate any help!

Thanks
