1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] Stone - DAG Data-Structured Private Cryptocurrency on: January 13, 2018, 10:59:31 PM
Long time lurker here. Would like to see more evidence of the work and who you are, but all will be forgiven if you deliver. Planning to make a donation soon if things keep progressing. If you are looking for donations, I think you might want to think about writing a basic white paper, making a website then running an ICO for a token that you can exchange for Stone. It seems that you can get a lot of donations for very little by doing this. It also seems a lot less sketchy than asking for donations like you are.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Warning] Polybius & EmerCoin - Scam on: June 22, 2017, 06:07:15 PM
I am pretty sure it is a scam at this stage. Have been waiting a few days for tokens I paid for and not got any. Other bad signs - they have lots of bots on the facebook page, no real engagement, other people are also not getting their tokens as promised (I have been in contact with a few), I have since learned that the team behind the ICO has been argued to have a record of scamming others. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1910437.20  Don't make the same mistake that I did. Also please help to find and punish people like this. They will harm all of us indirectly by destroying trust in our assets.

It's very hard to setup a wallet....
What exactly? In case of using a counterwallet for example you don't need to setup anything, just enter to wallet and you will see your address.

I also find it very hard to know what is going on. If I, with a Phd, find it confusing you can be sure that lots of other people do. Plus, for every 1 person who actually bothers to post about this there are probably many more who don't bother.

There are also other issues with the project that make it hard to be involved in. I have been mining for a month, have received no money, have no idea what allocations of coin I earned, what type of coin it is, where it is going, if my wallet details are correct, what happens if they are not etc. I don't even know where to start.

I am probably going to stop using it (not in a huff or anything Tongue) as the effort to reward ratio is too high.

I really shouldn't need to come on a forum to try to understand basic things about a software I am using (assuming that people want it to be adopted)

I dont know why, I added your peers but still no synchro...
anyone had an idea?

Hi all, new here. Just found this thread while looking for a way to get my wallet to sync. Thanks so much for the help.

Crowetic - could it be worth fixing the wallet in light of what has happened with Polo? Or, if that is imporssible, posting an update to let people know how they can easily transfer in money, and deal with issues such as this one. I can see a lot of people moving money offline - best to make it easy for them. Would also show that there is life in the project.
