The Bitcoincharts website is down at the moment and I am feeling a bit lost without it. What are the best alternatives to get detailed, up to date charts of price movements, trade volumes etc?
Thanks,

I live in the UK and I have bought bitcoins twice from localbitcoins.com, and once from bitbargain.co.uk. All were quick and painless transactions, and I have subsequently moved the bitcoins to Mt Gox and BTC-e. Trying to fund the exchanges directly from the UK is painful, slow and expensive.

I set up a Mt Gox account, which is still awaiting verification. Funding it directly looks slow, expensive and a pain from the UK. In the end I bought some BTC on bitbargain.co.uk, and paid by Bank Transfer. Later I bought some more BTC using localbitcoins.com. Both of these methods were fairly painless and I have transferred the BTC to my wallets at Mt Gox and BTC-e. Prices generally a bit lower on localbitcoins, but there are good deals to me had on both if you are patient.

Probably best to sell on localbitcoins.com - have only bought on it myself but the system seems to work well.

Rumour has it that Mt Gox will soon start dealing in Litecoins, and that when that happens the price will go up. I have converted a couple of bitcoins to LTC on BTC-e inthe hope that the rumour is true. But I plan to keep a stake in both.
