How much time is left before the release of the initial version?
I do not want to miss this, I think there will be an excellent project.

Q3 is the public beta, from what I heard.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Ethereum TEST-NET on: May 13, 2017, 08:50:25 PM
Hi there,

I need some Ethereum for the test-net in order to test contracts.
Unfortunately, Zerogox is not working.. Mining is not working either on my PC.

Does someone has alternative ideas? My testnet adress is:

Cheers,

I guess liquidity is the best feature in this market

Sure as hell!!
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: May 08, 2017, 08:00:28 PM
Thre is a reoccuring thought that most get when price goes up then comes down ..." if only i sold some then and bought more back now ,id have more " but it doesnt work in your favour much and most will end up losing more XRP

Stop thinking about it, let it go up..up..up n down...bad panic decisions lead you away from the plan...always stick to the plan  Wink

also no point complaining about polo, they wont listen...money talks, so until people dont start going elsewhere for XRP and other coins, polo wont do anything about it...by the time they do it could be to late for them.
Glad i moved alot to stamp after the last polo fiasco.

True enough. It seems almost as if its being done to get others in cheaper and then the site is fine and price recovers every time I've watched it happen.
exactly...prob themselves lol
I think they run out of coins on the sell side, so they crash the site and get people to panic dump and increase sells again

Haha. The market of Ripple is liquid enough, even when the fixed amount is reached. ----> Increase of price
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Matchpool GUPPY [GUP] Price Speculation on: May 08, 2017, 07:38:18 PM
still a buy?

I benefit when you buy GUP, haha. Honest about that.
Whatever, beyond that, I bought GUP because I think it has a bright future. Matchpool has a lot of potential. 16 cents can easily be 1 dollar in Q2 of 2018
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XCP] CounterParty Speculation on: May 08, 2017, 04:27:31 PM
Is there a lot of development? Where? I check it on daily-basis since big players like the coin, but don't see much happening....  Huh

See here, it indicates the price of XCP has increased in the past few days, sometimes even though development are not being developed but the price will raise.
Last Price: 0.00579420
24hr Change: 37.10%
24hr High: 0.00612112
24hr Low: 0.00372430

Yeah and that's why it surprised me. Makes me wonder if this is just a temporary pump.

Ridiculous GNT dip... Lol

Normal level of volatility.
9  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin as a leading currency? on: May 08, 2017, 07:04:58 AM
I'm not so sure about that, why would the world want to give so much money to likes of Wu and BU bag holders?
We're not yet mainstream and not yet fully adopted by the majority of markets still they're pulling us down with their stubbornness, let alone the fact about what would've happened if we were in worldwide scene?

Of course Bitcoin will remain the top cryptocurrency but we need a few things to change first to gain the public trust by getting rid of those taking Bitcoin for granted by controlling the network and play monopoly with hash power.

Indeed, gaining the wide public trust should be the most important job of the market! Than it is just a matter of time that wee wil see bigger players coming.
10  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The founder of Wikipedia asks for donations in bitcoin to start a new project on: May 07, 2017, 12:11:57 PM
weren't LUNYR just finished their ICO and its somewhat like a wiki and encyclopedia project? the token seem to have a good price actually i was just not interested to it. i hate such project such as steem, all these should have left to those in the adsense webmasters and let them compete themselves.

so are we to expect ICO for Wikitribune?

How could such value rise? Since wiki's like Wikipedia don't earn money based on user payments.

Why not start an ICO, Jimmy?  Cool Cool Cool
12  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation and Deflation of Price and Money Supply on: May 07, 2017, 09:25:18 AM
Well.... It's not so hard to tell why Bitcoin becomes interesting in a time of deflation; When volks see that in the future they can buy more products with their current amount of fiat, they will save it. Nothing more than intertemporal exchange.Investing it in BTC becomes more interesting.

The more interesting discussion can be about the question whether primary liquidity will be transformed in secondary liquidity, and the narrow money will decrease, since we see Bitcoin as a currency but a lot of institutions don't.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is there anything that is still 'undervalued' on: May 06, 2017, 09:45:32 PM
Sorry but.... Zcash looks like me to a black hole of distressed dead. Instead, I think XMR is way more undervalued, because it is the most private coin there is. Way more private than Zcash.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: May 06, 2017, 09:23:50 PM
I think Ripple can evaluate even more if the ecosystem (governments, financial institutions etc.) get more involved in this technology. Unfortunately, these institutions gain a lot by the regulation so far, and that's why I think Ripple will never make a real mark like Ethereum will in the future.

it already had made a real mark, just look at its volume. and then look at who below XRP and then look at the price and then yourself  Grin i will have more value and will soon find its way to get used by merchants just like how ETH did.

The current position of altcoins is just the tip of the iceberg, I believe. When Ripple can't find support in the regulated market, I think it will never go with the flow.

16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best Altcoin to invest in for 2017 and WHY !!! on: May 06, 2017, 09:01:21 PM
I invested some BTC in Matchpool (Guppy, GUP) because I think this project has a lot of potential. Expect to see the market break in Q2 of 2018.

Matchpool is building a platform for matchmakers by allowing anyone to create their own community pool and invite their members to their pool.
I think this has a lot of potential given the wide possibilities, their decentralised technology, and of course the great team & advisors.

Let's see where we get next year....  Roll Eyes
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: Matchpool - Creating Human Connections on: May 06, 2017, 07:13:52 PM
Still think this is an awesome project. Great team and wide support of the Ether network. Love the idea behind pools.

Just bought roughly 300 Guppy. Hope the market will hit high in Q2 of 2018.

The big question is: Is it innovative enough to compete with the current platform?
18  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin as a leading currency? on: May 05, 2017, 08:56:03 PM
That's pretty much enough for now on.
And if it would really pose a problem a hardfork would solve it but again it is not necessary.
Even if hard fork/upgrade was really necessary and needed I have doubt it would be done.
We can see that needed changes - scaling upgrade is neglected for at least 2 years and there is still no solution at hand.
If bitcoin can't successfully manage its own upgrades we might see grim future ahead.

Interesting, I think it will depend on the question whether financial institutions and governments will embrace the blockchain.
Not so much de development of Bitcoin itself, but rather the ecosystem around it.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why is Etherium going up? on: May 05, 2017, 08:43:56 PM
Let's not forget the (rumours of) big players jumping into the enterprise alliance....  Wink
20  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin as a leading currency? on: May 05, 2017, 08:33:23 PM
Because the cap is just 21 million bitcoins that will ever be mined, I think that will never happen.
Bitcoin is just not liquid enough and because of this cap, it will never be. Besides this, the circulation of the BTC can not compete with currencies like the dollar in the near future.

Interesting question by the way.
