1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Sapphire Radeon RX 470 Variations and Compatibility on: May 07, 2017, 08:43:36 AM
Hello Miners.

I am rather new at this and have a few questions regarding the three different Sapphire Radeon RX 470 Sub-Types (Nitro+, Nitro, and OC)  and their compatibility within the same ETHEREUM mining rig. My inquiry is regarding the 4GB version of all three. I have done a lot of reasearch regarding all of them and have seen the stats, specifically under conditions of flashed and modded Bios's and I understand how this works. However, my question is more on an anecdotal level; From the personal experience of those who have mixed these three demons into a single rig.

1.) How do each of them seem to get a long with each other (in your experience) in terms of full overclocking capabilities under modification within;

    a.) Windows 8/10 using the traditional Miner software as well as Claymore's Mine
    b.) Linux Ubuntu using traditional as well as Claymore's Mine
    c.) ETHos mine-specific OS using tradish as well as Claymore's (I am aware ETHos is simply a specialized linux distro)

2.) Which MOBO and PSU did/do you use for this hybridization that seems to yield the greatest fung-shuei between the three? (or simply a combo of two sub-types). Is it even possible to mod them all together in the same machine? From what I have read, the Nitro+ is the best of them regarding MH/s, however as you all know, they are very difficult to come by at the moment.

3.) If you have had success mixing either two of them, or all three under these conditions, would you be so kind as to post the general benchmark limit each was able to obtain in MH/s (provided they could even be OC'd to maximum together in the first place). My hunch would be that, if this would hypothetically work, the Nitro+ would see 29MH/s under optimum conditions, the Nitro around 27-29, and the classic OC version hopefully hitting a minimum of 27. But fuck hunches....What was YOUR experience?  Smiley

This info would be much appreciated. Happy mining to all and to all a good mine.

(EDIT: Didn't Specify ETHEREUM)
