Hi all,
while setting up various wallets I encountered a problem with the password I just entered, when I tried to retrieve a wallet before moving the funds to it.
The problem is as follows and occurs because of a difference in the way copied content of an Excel cell is treated:
Let's assume the content of an Excel cell is abcd
Case I: I click into the cell and copy & paste -> it is depicted as '*****' (5 dots) in the respective password box of a wallet Case II: I explicitly mark the content of the cell -> it is depicted as '****' (4 dots) in the respective password box of a wallet
Note that no space or any other sign but 'abcd' is in the Excel cell. Only the password box of the wallet depicts the contents with different password lengths. It is not only a visual issue: in Case II the wallet can be opened by entering 'abcd' - this does not work out in Case I.
That leads me to the question as to a standard sign and location within such an copied Excel cell exists, completing the the 4 known dots (abcd) but the 5. unknown dot?
Any help is highly appreciated!
Thanks, brel
