What are the odds of hitting that jackpot? I need a 2-fer (jackpot + weekly bonus)!

Nice promo, haven't done any crypto betting so this is my excuse to come back! And bit-exo is a great site.

According to posts on Discord, we should expect the 5.0 release Monday afternoon/evening. This is likely a projection, so definitely not precise. Also, no time zone was mentioned. I am assuming anywhere from 8-12 hours from now, but I wouldn't set your watch to it. We should get a more detailed announcement with the update, or we may hear when pools/MNs get their wallets and start to get setup.

can somebody tell me where to find the latest version 5 wallet, the one i found on github was version 4 .exe downloadable which i did, but again since the network was down it has been showing me out of sync message and no progress. About the bat file and config found few articles, but wanted to know if somebody is using rx 580 asus strix OC edition whats the output they are getting per card.

The 5.0 wallet has not be officially released yet and I believe is still being fixed prior to release. Stay tuned though.

is there an updated wallet for new chain?

Currently no, but stay tuned. They mentioned last night they are testing and it is expected to take 48 hours, so likely after that we will have more updates or hopefully a timeline for a new wallet.

I just posted a video of why I think LUX is going to $90. I hope you guys find it informative!

New features coming at block 300,000??

Many of us have long awaited the next update to bring the new rewards formula (increasing rewards for staking and MNs), as well as smart contracts, and now the new Phi 2 algorithm to better protect against the possibility of ASICs. All of these updates will require a fork, so the team has been waiting to put them all in one big update so we only have to update our wallets once.

In a recent GitHub update, there is a reference to the Phi 2 algo going into effect on block 300,000. (see: https://github.com/216k155/lux/commit/ee8bbac8b476286951435aa6fdb52a562a01d199)

In the last 24 hours, we have generated 1174 blocks. At that rate, that puts block 300k 24.8 days from today, or around Tuesday, June 12.

This can be pushed back of course, as none of this code is set in stone until they push out a new wallet. But, be on the look out! Sometime in the next few weeks we may have a new wallet to upgrade to bringing us some great new features.

Smart Contracts are super exciting for what it could bring to LUX. The new rewards should help price by reducing supply going to exchanges and further rewarding staking/running a masternode. The new algo should make mining more efficient.

I have 450 lux on how many should I split it?
I have not had a stake for an extremely long time (since the staking problem), have taken over my wallet.dat file from the old wallet, my old recipient addresses are no longer at "received" only newly created, I have to send it to a newly created address So that staking works?

Ideally you would split it into inputs of 100-150, so 450 could be 3 inputs of 150 LUX each. You can send it to your same address, or a new one. It shouldn't matter. Just note that your coins will need to mature after sending.

New Shared Masternode Open for Deposits (4 already online)

Hey all, we have 4 shared masternodes currently, and due to demand, I am opening up a fifth. I have started accepting deposits already. We have 54 shares requested, so I am expecting us to fill up within 1-2 weeks.

You can find more information at my website luxmasternode.com and you can see previous payouts for my other masternodes at the Investor Dashboard here: https://www.luxmasternode.com/stats/

For a deposit address, please email me at luxmasternode@gmail.com Please verify that any deposit address you receive is on this Google Sheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Jb5F9oJVzdFJeXdRPPJkyUn50LiRcOaruaPQvwwX0vQ/

If you have any questions, just let me know!

Shared masternodes are not for everyone. There is always risk when sending your crypto to someone else. This service is not affiliated with Luxcore.

Nice to see you are opening up for a fifth node Smiley Cant wait for the hard fork so we actualy start earning something on masternodes though Tongue
But it is nice to be in one and be ready.

Thanks! Yes, I am anxiously waiting for the new rewards formula to be implemented! I am hoping to see it happen soon. Smiley

Weren't the payments meant to change at block 225 000? Doesn't look like anything has changed. Can anyone confirm?

No, the reward formula has not changed. This change was a security feature. The reward formula is set to change with the next hard fork - when smart contracts are ready for release.

Exchanges provide vital functions to the community. While they are in a great spot right now to capitalize on the demand, it's hard to blame them for price action.

Hey all, I posted here a month ago about starting a LUX shared masternode. I made a YouTube video and a basic website with info about MN profits vs staking.

The project was a huge success and we now have 3 LUX masternodes online. I've been working on some tools for investors to view stats and payout info, and this is what I have so far: https://www.luxmasternode.com/stats/

We are currently raising funds for a fourth masternode. The MNs are 100 shares of 161.2 LUX (plus a 1 LUX one-time setup fee), and MN4 has 41.5 / 100 shares available at this time.

If you want more information or want to chat, feel free to join our Discord group: https://discord.gg/RKsxW8R

I am building this into a real business and am very happy with the support I've received thus far. If you would like to participate or have any questions, please let me know!

Tell me, please, where to mine now LUX Huh I try on the BSOD or YIIMP, they both swear on the algorithm! What's happening ?
Is the coin dying or what? It used to be that there was no such disgrace, a good coin was!  Embarrassed

Altminer has been going strong for me this whole time.

upgraded to latest wallet and am staking.  previously there was an estimated future payout date.  there doesn't seem to be one now... just 'staking is active'  - is this correct?

Correct, coins that were mature already are immediately stakable once your wallet is synced up.

I updated the math for my shared masternode returns. For a 161.2 LUX investment, the current estimates are 475.3021 LUX payout per year. This is assuming there are 22 masternodes (seems like current number ready to go).

See the full breakdown: https://luxmasternode.com
Oh wow, it's that much now? That's a big jump in % ROI for a seemingly 'small' change in PoW rewards. It was around 50% before now almost 300%.

Yeah, 20% of miner's 10 LUX is a lot more than the percent of staker's 1 LUX.

LUX team just announced a new reward system for masternodes that let them share in the rewards from mining also.

Read the full announcement here: https://www.luxcore.io/pdf/Upcoming_Changes_Wallet_Release.pdf

We are adding people daily to our shared masternode. Check it out at https://luxmasternode.com or on discord: https://discord.gg/RKsxW8R if you want to participate.

That makes sense and I do see your point.

I'm trying to minimize frequency of my payouts and the larger pools make that difficult.  I'd like to get paid no more often than twice a day max.  The smaller pools are good for this.

Seems like I'm stuck between small pools with very long block times.  Or dealing with 5-8 payments each day from the larger pools which I don't want either.

It's a shame you can't set your payout threshold.
