1  Economy / Securities / Derivatives (e.g., Swaps and forwards) with crypto as its underlying? on: May 12, 2017, 04:59:22 PM
Hello,

Are there any instruments to hedge/speculate on cryptocurrencies without taking an actual position on the crypto? I can imagine that call/put options on bitcoins might be interesting to investors because it has proven to be a solid liquid currency.  Furthermore, if there would be forwards to lock in a certain exchange rate, that would also mitigate a lot of risk and volatility. What do you guys think?
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Highest ROI (return on investment) on bitcoin/altcoin on: May 12, 2017, 04:53:02 PM
The title kinda explains it all. What is the highest return you ever had on your investments? For example, the percentage return on bitcoins when you invested at its lowpoint and hold/sold at its peak level, which was just a few days ago would be roughly (1800/2.30-1*100)= 78,160%(!). Although it is unlikely someone would have bought and sold at these exact two moments, it would be one of the highest returns on any investment in any market. I am currently hoping that XLM stellar will rally to $4 or maybe $5, it would be a good return.

I would love to hear some of your stories. My apologies if this is an already existing topic

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [Stellar Lumens] (STR/XLM) What we know so far about and why its price went up. on: May 08, 2017, 05:00:52 PM
Hi Everyone,

What are the prospects of this coin? I cannot find any relevant information about the XLM plans however I did find some negative press regarding the owner. I am not sure if I should take a sizable position in lumens. Given the fact that they trade around $0.04 per unit, they might have some upside potential but the question is how much? What do you think?
