1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Besides its speculation ,what is the real use of bitcoin ? on: May 12, 2017, 04:23:51 PM
While anonymity is an illusion. You still have to convert their bitcoin official currency to spend. For example to fill the car. From this moment on you see everything. Maybe in the future it will not be so, but so far people have very little bitcoins and therefore no market.

Simple solution: ban signatures. No more signatures, no more signature campaigns requiring umpty-five posts per week to get credit.

I suggest you to start with yourself. Why do you have a signature? Take it off and then suggest such action.
3  Other / Politics & Society / Re: NASA Eyeing Mini Space Station in Lunar Orbit on: May 12, 2017, 03:55:29 PM
I wonder why they stopped exploring the moon in the 60s of the last century? Maybe there is something found? How many years have passed, but the information is still kept in strict confidence.
All the info is public, massive amounts of it.

Lunar orbits were believed all unstable due to uneven gravity issues, but four stable lunar orbits were located that sort of weave a path between these concentrated areas of mass.

Therefore an orbiting satellite is possible. Whether it's practical to man it is another issue. Certainly an interesting idea.

Yes, Moon is actually outside of Earth's magnetic field. So unlike ISS, proposed Deep Space Gateway will be bombarded by cosmic radiation.
Actually, over a period of time and with some ingenuity, lunar dirt could be moved up to orbit and form a massive shield. That'd take some native propellants from the Moon, but maybe something like an orbiting station would get people thinking down those lines.

I heard that the moon is Helium-3. This is a material that is on the earth practically does not occur and 1 kg of the substance could power a small city during the year. May be this is the reason for such interest in the moon? Why Trump wants to sell the U.S. oil reserves? I think he knows something.

Is any single country even allowed to modify anything on the moon? From what I remember it's considered "common heritage" for mankind. I mean, it would probably suck if they start modify stuff up there that would be visible here on Earth.

On second thought, they can probably restrict all activity to the far side so as not to ruin the view for everyone. Not sure what mining it would do though, if that would result to any significant change. After all, it's way smaller than Earth.

Maybe they can just place stuff on it? I remember some idea shown on Nat Geo where it's used to charge batteries. Shuttles that are going out into space anyway would dump batteries on the moon that would be charged using a large belt of solar panels along the moon's equator.  Then those batteries would just be placed on capsules and hurled back at Earth.
I don't know exactly what they're doing, but for me the important thing is that they didn't suit on the moon some disaster. Earth without the moon can not exist.
4  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Well Dammit, He Fired Comey on: May 11, 2017, 04:35:03 PM
It seems to me that Trump became very afraid and acted in panic.
As you know, Comey was leading investigation about Russian influence on US presidential elections and their close ties with Trump's team.
Do you remember last US American president who did the same thing?
It was President Nixon.
He tried to stop investigation about himself but because of great public pressure, he couldn't stop it and eventually he resigned.
In my opinion, the same thing will happen to Trump.
He can't be above the law.

Trump believes that he is the law. In America as in Europe a lot of bureaucracy. The procedure of investigation and impeachment if we can prove his guilt may take a very long time. If he was indeed cooperating with the Russians then it can cause irreparable damage to American security.
5  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump is better than Obama? on: May 11, 2017, 04:27:46 PM
I agree. Obama's rating was much higher, and on Trump everyone is laughing and he is too old to do something serious.

Ratings don't matter much, and they are not reliable. Obama had a loyal following among the minorities and the youth, and they supported him irrespective of his performance. And regarding Trump, you can't judge someone after just 3 months in the office.

Americans: 45% say Obama is better than Trump, 37% said trump would be better than Obama, and 15% think they would be equally good at leading America. Their characters are very different, trump are more aggressive, brave, and perhaps more threatening, that's true, trump has not been president long, we all still can not see which one is better, but according to research I read. The popularity and rating of Obama is better than trump.
We see after a few years trump lead america, who better.
Why only research? Look at the actions of Trump, they not only have a clearly populist but has no strategy. For this reason, many people say that Trump is unpredictable. Did such actions, he can exalt America?
6  Other / Politics & Society / Re: SHOULD I GO TO PAKISTAN ON VACATIONS...? on: May 11, 2017, 03:25:39 PM
What about russia?
Russia does have many beautiful places to stay. But I'm not sure that this country is good in terms of security. The same places there are in Canada and America, but it's safer.
7  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Well Dammit, He Fired Comey on: May 11, 2017, 03:17:43 PM
I'm not an American, but by the way I followed the news and my personal opinion on why he was fired was:

1. Comey was too soft on Clinton - Comey is fired because of his handling of the email investigation on the Clinton. And he had exonerated Clinton from criminal wrongdoing.
2. Trump colluding with Russia to win the election- Comey even admitted in front of the Senate that the FBI was investigating Trump's campaign and his Russian connection.
3. Comey didn't support Trump's claim that Obama tapped his phone in Trump Tower.

So basically, he dig up his own hole leading to his firing and dismissal as FBI director.

That's all true.

But in the United States people are taught to try to respect fairness over power.

Nobody really doubts that Trump used power to derail an investigation and repopulate the FBI with people who would support him. Nobody doubts that. The question is whether or not it is acceptable to do that.
I have the impression that Trump accepted the challenge and prepared to fight. He deliberately goes to the aggravation of the situation to show that he is the master of the situation. This is a very exciting fight. I wonder whether it will end with impeachment?
8  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump Approves Plan To Directly Arm Kurds; Turkish Lira Tumbles on: May 11, 2017, 03:07:09 PM
It seems to me that the Turkish Lira is falling not because of the support Trump the Kurds, and due to the fact that nobody likes what is happening now in Turkey. Erdogan reinforces his dictatorship and that investors leave Turkey. Erdogan needs to be prepared for the fact that there will be no investments and Turkey's economy will weaken.
9  Other / Politics & Society / Re: You eat pork you look like pork on: May 11, 2017, 03:00:44 PM
This is the case when a person does not eat pork, and behaves worse than a pig. I have such force was sent to work on a pig farm. Until then, until it becomes nice and polite.
I already stopped eating pork for almost 2 years. But it doesn't mean I disregard myself from the people who eats pork. There are many religions who believe that eating pork makes you unclean. It is a matter of how deal with other people. If you're not eating pork and yet your lifestyle or habit is really not good, I think its time for you to think whether you're in the right track of living. Discriminating other people just because you are not eating pork or your ways are different from them makes you worst than you think you are not.

There are different types of taboo foods for different religions and sects. For example pork is banned for both Muslims and Jews. Similarly, beef is an ultimate taboo for the upper caste Hindus.
I know many Jews and Muslims who live in my Christian country and they all eat pork. India is one of the leaders in the world in sales of beef. In all rules there are exceptions.
