It is a question I've been having, I've been charged back on Paypal in the past like many others, although I do want to say I had a 50LTC for 500$ go through no problem...call a spade a spade. Seriously though is their anyway to circumnavigate Paypal's non protection of digital items(I know I agreed on that) through a physical representation of not the transaction but the item(other than Casascius BTC, they are pretty coolthough)

We maintain that the crypto-currency bitcoin is a practical application of what is termed “memory” in the monetary economics literature. After reviewing the theoretical literature on money and memory, we offer a brief overview of the bitcoin protocol and argue that, like memory, bitcoin functions as a public record-keeping device.
